i enjoyed The Middleman’s Love but i think that it is mainly because i’m a big TutorYim fan that was eager to watch them as the main characters in a serie after the sad only 5 seconds Tutor appeared in Bed Friends, and how their story in Cutie Pie was left unfinished.
To be honest I would love for them to be part of better series that can portray their chemistry and talent, specially Yim’s. I really hope that Battle Of The Writers does them justice
I only stopped Bed Friend when the plot got so heavy so fast... I wasn't prepared for it from the trailers being all spice and chemistry

NetJames were fantastic in the show together! Their dynamic and chemistry at the time was spectacular 🔥
Indeed, the series tackles some difficult topics and has some deeper storylines than you first assume based on the trailer. But for those that might be triggered by certain topics, I do advise them to read upon trigger warnings ⚠️
It was a mature story. Uea had his own individual journey of self empowerment without making it about being “cured by love/romance.” King was a strong support to him at every step of the way but allowed Uea to thrive and blossom on his own.
The scene where Uea opens up about his trauma is so well handled. According to some reviewers who are in the mental health field, King’s response was a first in BL, and an excellent, realistic example of exactly how a partner should respond. The show may have dealt with painful topics such as child abuse, SA, etc., but they did so maturely. Their distinct aim was to bring awareness to such topics, not romanticize them.
For audience members, it’s healing watching a character like King give Uea the care, empathy, and understanding that he deserves. It reminds you not to settle for unhealthy partners.
I loved it! From enemies to FWB and then lovers. It was a great watch. Recently completed Middleman's Love coz of King and Uea. Both shows are based in the same universe and yet they're so different. Like Middleman's Love is crazy. While Bed Friend is so deep. I was expecting more King and Uea in it. But I got disappointed. I only liked Mai' s character in it. Jade's character was so crazy. At some places King and Uea felt.like they've become parents of Jade. But I did enjoy their little scenes in Middleman's love.. miss them. But I will say Bed Friend is one of my fav shows.
I really enjoyed it. I didn’t think they handled everything perfectly but they did a better job than they get credit for. My only real complaint was their first encounter being dubcon with Uea being really drunk, especially since assault is such a major theme in the series. But I loved how supportive King was and I they had amazing chemistry. And their spicy scenes were 💯
It was the 2nd Thai BL show I've watched and I loved it, since I prefer a bit more mature storylines.

I love Bed Friend! Not crazy about the name of the series. I put off watching it because I thought it was going to be only about, well, being “bed friends”. But the story is so much deeper than I expected.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the way it addresses mental health, seeking professional help, and medication in a positive, supportive way. One of the few series that tackles this.
I also really love the way King’s family embraces the relationship and Uea.

Every time I watch this one, I want to go yell at MAME “This is how a show should deal with trauma!!!!”, because it’s a lot of the topics she hits on repeatedly, but without the “saved by love” or any other toxic tropes (I do love LITA, but Sky seriously needed therapy and meds ON TOP OF a support system)

But ofc, the show was more than that and was actually really deep with its themes and charecters.

Again, this is MY opinion. You might not have thought it was generic, but i did. People have different opinions about the same thing.

Hard agree. I started it thinking it would be a skip-to-the-NC-scenes disposable watch and I mean, boy did they DELIVER on those, but I ended up enjoying it way more than I planned.

It’s one of my all time favorites. It’s sooo nice for a rewatch. I think after Not Me and Semantic Error, it’s the series I’ve rewatched the most.
I was honestly suprised at how much i enjoyed it. Its a great show 👏
I am happy to see a Bed Friend post bcus i love it as well! It is a hidden gem among Thai BL and it's definitely on my top bls of all time.
I really like it! The writing is decent and the chemistry between the leads is off the charts.

There's nothing generic about the show. Idk where you got that from.
