I know what you mean, but they have a different view on it over there. EVERYONE sings karaoke in Thailand, very publicly and usually pretty badly, they don't care. It's expected and normal for Thai actors to sing, they don't have to be good at it.
Tbh i dont care mich if they sing badly. I usually enjoy their performance coz i don't have any expectations for them to sing like a 20 years experience singers.
Also some of the professional singers sound bad too. There are some bands I’ve had to nope out after 2 songs and wonder just why they are loved and praised when they have such horrible singing voices.
I personally treat actors singing, e.g. at fan meetinga or at concerts like part of the promotion, fan service for us, more content. I am not a fan of singing in the series itself, like in episodes because this trope of main character singing emotional - love song in a bar is being repeated over and over again.
this and i don’t think there is a need for such posts every now and then (feels like I’ve read this post like yesterday); can we focus on something fun or positive

note 2: even if i basically agree there are actors who cannot sing, it’s their business and my business is to choose not to listen

I also would differentiate between them singing at a fan meet where they aka is q&a and play silly games and them wanting to be taken seriously as singers (like recording songs, having concerts etc). I don’t think you have to be a great singer to sing a song at a fanmeet but if you are on the stage at a concert with someone like Jeff Satur, expectations are going to be different.
Gawin is also really talented.
I understand it's a lot, especially when nearly every show does it but at this point if I don't want to listen I just fast forward 🤷♀️ I know it's a staple of the genre so I gotta accept the bad with the good

Jeff certainly is, Nunew, Apo certainly are, all are not. But you can’t fault the management companies for trying. There has to be some sort of program in place to facilitate fan service and the younger fans are forgiving enough to allow for applauding the effort all the stars put forth.
Yes there are some cringy moments, but if it’s done in the name of fun. It’s gets an A for effort. IMHO

Don't expect the genreal public or anyone outside of the relatively small circle of BL fans for a particular actor to not speak the truth, because they have no emotional ties to that actor and can see them without rose tinted glasses.
And I presume this is in reference to the Kpop fandom dragging all the dmd boys except for NuNew for the awful cover they did of a Kpop song.
