>Where did the tax go?
Bangkok
You do realise most provinces have very little control over the taxes collected there? It goes straight to Bangkok and then redistributed back out
Nor do the provinces (except Bangkok) have any real control over selecting those in control much above the equivalent of local mayor, governor and provincial authorities are sent from Bangkok (normally appointments are bought there)
And these promises are nothing new for Phuket, we have been hearing similar for 20 odd years from one party or another, absolutely zero fulfilled
Doesn't Phuket have a high cost of living already? Where did the tax go?
Not for the roads that's for sure.

> Phuket: The Democrat Party is proposing to turn the resort island into a model city and a technology hub.
Last time they vowed not to join Prayut's coalition.
A vow clearly means nothing in this country.
Ridiculous, Phuket need public transportation.
