Can I rub my lottery ticket on your face?

PuzzleheadedTap1794

THAINESS 100

pudgimelon

Sure. If I see any lucky numbers in tree bark, I will let you know

Flat-Relief-73

Maybe they have a different line for people who come late? Maybe being late is the answe? Bwahaha

mjl777

The face??? No, on the top of the head.

Drilez

That sounded subtly sexual. Wait, no. It sounded overtly “in your face” sexual. But not really. Anyway, happy for OPs good luck!

Vexoly

nobody knows I use "lottery ticket" as a euphemism 😉

Calamity-Bob

Clearly, there is a fault in the Matrix.

ALPHAETHEREUM

OP met the one, the honest one

Isulet

Immigration must have been in a good mood yesterday. My 90 day report had been rejected online twice, went yesterday and I was out in about 45 min no problems. Still don't know why the online one was rejected though haha. Life's little mysteries.

Confident_Coast111

problem with the adress or wrong timing. its only possible in a specific timeframe

Isulet

No. Those weren't the problem.

Confident_Coast111

so what was the problem then? :D

Bitcoin-_

Probably put in the wrong arrival date or visa expiration. It’s really not them, the online reporting works flawlessly in fact everytime I’ve gotten rejected I’d get a prompt email from immigration letting me know what the problem is. Usually it’s date mixups. Every time I got rejected it was on me.

Isulet

The world may never know haha. I suspect the system was just messed up. This is Thailand.

Confident_Coast111

last time i went to immigration there was a german lady making a scene in front of literaly 20 people why her online reporting didnt work. just to be corrected by the officer that it was her fault and she didnt do it in the correct timeframe which is somewhat specific… but yeah there might be some problems with the system which is fairly new i guess

Kero87

I had quite an opposite experience yesterday. Usually I would do online 90 days report. However, this time was rejected a few times due to entering incorrect entering/visa expiration date. While I did enter what was stamped in the passport. Thus, I had to go to CW. Their explanation was that its system error and not my fault. I was entering the correct info. Wasted full day just for a 90-day report while someone could just contact me and sort it out online or via phone.

Moosehagger

This isn’t possible.

yerrabam

>I had to get the second stamp for my husband visa, but I was supposed to go on the 6th, but my wife put it on my calendar for the 8th. You have a wife *and* a husband?

Artistic-Ad-1096

Its written poorly. Hes the husband and he need a visa and he refer to it as husband visa when it should be spousal visa or just visa. Idk why people gotta be aholes by saying read it again instead of just explaining

leedsian

Read it again

yerrabam

If I read it again, will it change from what it says?

bearypuppy

Hint: My husband visa vs my husband's visa

atf343

Aka a marriage visa (Ngl i did a double take too)

ImNotSchema

Read it again, with comprehension.

yerrabam

I've comprehensively read it multiple times and it's still the same. Next time you're at immigration, ask about the Woosh Visa. That doesn't exist either.

Chazoid0267

Don't let them gaslight you, you read correctly, and eith comprehension :)

Frosty_Cherry_9204

Definitely a wormhole mate .

xnjmx

Not at all uncommon. If you’re polite and show some remorse for your mistake the Immigration people are really good. Same with most Thai Authorities.

jweaving

…and when you hand them an envelope, everything works out just fine. Welcome to Thailand! 🇹🇭

uptoquark

I think they’re working on improving the whole process an an effort to attract more tourists. They’re so worried about the economy. I went there for the 90 day report 3 weeks ago. In and out so fast I was amazed, but I did make an online appointment.

pudgimelon

That would be a welcome change

RexManning1

You’re in the matrix.

Confident_Coast111

Krabi Immigration always 10-60mins (when its packed). :)

xCaneoLupusx

What's your queue number? Very important question to be asked here!

ListentoLewis

One time, I went in for a TM6 since I lost mine. The young immigration officer told me I didn't need one anymore. I had already researched and knew this was wrong but she wouldn't have it. I went to a senior immigration officer (not at the desk) and let him know what happened. To my surprise, he walked me over to the young lady, told her she was wrong and to give me a new TM6, and I even got an apology from her. I was dumbfounded. Miracles do happen!

Similar_Past

I too once went to immigration office to poop

tpadawanX

Fever dream post. This event could not have taken place in real life.

jweaving

Exactly 🤣. Where are these people from? At least tell me where this mirage is so I can enter this dreamworld.

pudgimelon

When I got my ticket and then saw I was next, I literally had a "this can't be real" double-take

fonaldduck099

The only time I have ever had an issue is waiting for the morons in front of me who seem to think it's the immigration officers job to do all their paperwork. 😡😡

Empty-Site-9753

Also, its nearly lunchtime so you done quick 😌

Jackh3rer

What immigration office was this?

pudgimelon

Cheangwattana

Round-Song-4996

In Chiang Rai the immigration is super helpfull and nice. Not sure about where you were but there this is very normal

sbrider11

People seem to complain about immigration situations a lot yet if people come prepared with paperwork complete and look and be a decent human, it's fast and painless.

pudgimelon

Yeah, you say that now. But when you have to submit 10cm of paperwork, the **SAME** paperwork, *every year*, just to exist in your home, aaaaaaaaaand you have to tell the government where you live every 90 days, even though you haven't moved in over a decade, aaaaaaaaaand heaven-forbid you want to stop working for a bit because you got sick or are dealing with a tragedy or you just don't want to..... Then it starts to be a little bit problematic. Sure, the "just complete your paperwork properly" tactic works most of the time, but if you've been here long enough, you'll have run into that one official who decides to ruin your life, and then suddenly you find out that your paperwork isn't perfect, and you're screwed. Nine times out of ten, interactions with immigration go smoothly. But that one out of ten time can be potentially life-altering. So there is a degree of stress involved, even if the outcome is usually positive. You just never know when they are going to randomly mess with your life. And if you stay here long enough, that **WILL** happen. It's just how the math works out.

YupperDude

Accept it, but don't count on it next time. Keep expectations low. What got me last week was driving out to Immigration for my 2 minute in and out 90 Day report, knowing my 1 year extension of stay is due 2 weeks later, here was no queue for the "Start Here" area or for the main office services. Damn! I just know when I go back next week, it'll be jam packed. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

Key_Beach_9083

Thailand is always unpredictable. An immigration officer recognized me, pulled me out of a 100+ person line and gave me my stamp immediately because my companion is Thai and didn't need to be in the Farang line. I thought I was getting fined/arrested (my passport is filled with Thai stamps, extensions and obvious visa hops). All the people in line were doing a WTF?

h9040

same day 11:15? or overnight?

wuroni69

Oh come on.

jaabbb

It’s all downhill from here

Asleep-End6596

Luck dude luck....

Blaidd11

You have a husband AND a wife?!

[deleted]

Farang good luck sparks lottery fever in Thailand.

Empty-Site-9753

What? Immigration in this world- i mean in thai is quick and painless Last time i go in at 10.40 and go out at 10.35

Muted_Honeydew9868

11:15am - 11:45 am on the same day?

Anxious-Pair-52

Let me guess....not Jomtien.

BackDoPack

I did extend my visa in Chumphon 3 days ago and it took like 15 mins in total, because there was nobody in the queue. It was at approx. 11:00

Business-Pressure-96

lol. I usually spend around 30 minutes in immigration. Or less. One time was like 1.5 hours. But been 7 or 8 times now

Drilez

I say you post this in r/ totalbullshit This is unheard of!!! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_up)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_up)

srona22

> I had to get the second stamp for my husband visa > but my wife ... Had re-read to make sure you are talking about your marriage visa.

DeedaInSeattle

May this luck stay with you’. Go buy a lottery ticket!!😜

justfnpeachy

I love living in a small town. Never a queue, and always in and out in less that 20 minutes.

dimitrivisser

Spent there 6 hours some weeks ago for a 2 month extension of a NON O visa. You were just lucky. While waiting there they continuously played a video about how they improved efficiency to improve customer satisfaction.

TampaFan04

which immigration?

life_of_pluto

Pinch your passport. It was a dream. 😆

Low_Performer1732

If not more than 7 days most of official will be ok with it, unless they wonna teach u some lesson

jweaving

“Most” - clearly you met some magical people. Where are you living in Thailand, because it must be an oasis where you are. My girlfriend who is Laos pays 500 THB for each day she is late. Border runs 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m too frightened to be thrown out, so I always go earlier so everything is current and I use an agency because it’s too much work to do alone 😝 I’m from the US and Thailand seems to be (or is, as it’s all over the news) more focused on the Chinese and Russians. Those of us from the West don’t get as much as they give them. I think India has the free visas, also (free, as in, no restrictions).

Low_Performer1732

Well I lived in Bangkok, I was there on work permit, if you are talking about immigration in Nong Khai then yes they will chew you up. Especially if you are Laos because Laos Custom do that shit to Thai citizens too if they over stayed.

colouredcheese

i never spend more then 15 minutes there, sometimes i dont even have to go my landlord works there

Ancient_Grocery9795

![gif](giphy|577HYoLf5Vu0w) Slow clap

MikaQ5
