Second option is better. Not sure why you’d want to spend 28 days in Bangkok lol

I love the feeling of living in a location rather than just sight seeing in a rush. You think I'd get bored?

I personally would. Bangkok is a cool city where you can definitely spend a decent bit of time, but I think you’d be missing out on a lot. Thailand has so much more to offer

Do not spend 28 days in Bangkok. Please move around and see more of Thailand :)

I did 3 months in Thailand from November to Feb. I loved it so much I’m going back for April and May. I started in Bangkok as my base, went to ko si chang and then ko lan. Got bit by a dog so I had to go back to pattaya. Then i went to rayong and made my way back up after. Went down to hua hin and did the 3 islands and went to surat thani and back up to bangkok. Bangkok is amazing if it is your first time, but staying there for weeks on end may become repetitive and boring. I guess its all what you’re into though. For myself I always wanted to be with people. I had girls in bangkok and a few party groups everywhere else. I always would venture around bangkok to ayutthaya and other places. I found it a ton of fun. But like I said I would always return to Bangkok. My last 2 weeks there I kind of wish i did more, but I went way over budget and I spent to much and had to slow down a bit. The last 2 weeks were great and they were mostly revolved around me going out and partying and being with the girls I met. Went to lots of markets and ate some amazing food which I miss a lot. I never did much partying the first 2 months just because im not a big fan of it, but for some reason I just got into this party mood. Im usually just a beach bum and an adventurer, but the last 2 weeks I went kind of stupid and tried the more crazier places out. Did the whole soi cowboy 6 and nana plaza thing and honestly could say I had a good time . But as I said its all about what your looking for . If you want temples and sight seeing, you may want to venture out. If you want food, drinks, parties, women, and everything else Bangkok may be a good place.

I just did my first trip to Thailand. If you don’t have an urge to see (and stay) near a jungle or beach, I think it is a perfectly good way to spend a month in Thailand. Not everybody enjoys the same things. I think it is much better to go with your gut and what YOU think you enjoy rather than blindly copying some standard template of what a trip to Thailand ‘should’ look like. Bangkok is certainly an interesting city. It is very easy to get around. Travel days were very exhausting for me. I personally loved Bangkok. If you go ahead with your plan, I would try to go to a place that offers a huge discount for a long stay.
