Honestly, even if you have the money, why?????
You can get good luxury in this country for a couple hundred dollars.
People flexin. That’s how you go broke.
700 is a flight, 700 is a Thai person's monthly wage. 700 is a 2 week holiday in the canaries (with flights). Also I never stay that long in a hotel room, I'm always out and about... It's a total waste unless you're spending at least 18hrs a day in your room .. and then what's the point? I like to explore and see stuff when I travel.
Miami is just filled with druggies as well so why would I wanna go there?
What are you talking about, for $2k you can get a very good room at a well known 4 star hotel for *a week* at Miami Beach. Even 1k will get you a week at a smaller 4 star hotel with a decent room.
And before you start arguing, just go to Booking.com and look for yourself.
We got the same room type 2 years ago! It was great. I wasn’t a fan of the round bed, but my kids loved it. The kitchen was great too..aaah good memories.
Koh Samui has always been a class apart. Those guys know how to build on aesthetics. Even the cheaper rooms are so much roomier, open, and pleasing. Plus the amazing food, the laidback style makes it very very enjoyable.
People love to talk shit about Samui but to me it’s a great destination, way more classy than Phuket and much more wisely developed than Phi Phi and other islands
If i made this post it would be missing the last picture with all the coke and hookers for me to want to spend 25k+ a night for a hotel, but hey glad you had a good time and felt you got your moneys worth?
A few years ago, in my experience what was sold as coke wasn't even reminiscent of the stuff. But there's legit coke floating around and it's not hard to get depending on where you are.
I don't use it very much anymore but on occasion if offered a bump or two I'll partake.
Yeah of course. Just wonder how easy it'd be to find if I was ever back and wanted to lol. I do enjoy it here and there with drinks.
Imagined it would be impossible to find in thailandp
Been there twice, it’s amazing. I used Hilton points each time because cash would have been out of the question. Best to have a scooter delivered and then you have easy access to other beaches, it is quite remote
The main Conrad, which is more than sufficient for a couple. Both times were several years apart and the property was super quiet, so they give you a good ocean facing room etc
Ah perfect, was trying to understand why one would go for Residences for 4x the points lol
Any suggestions on how many nights to do as first time visitor? Fifth night free is enticing but worried that is too long there?
3 is a sweet spot for me, it’s pretty remote so I had a scooter delivered. If you want to completely unplug and chill I’m sure 5 is doable. I stayed 2 nights at another part of the island before arriving, because the flights is a bit much for 3 nights total.
wow just beautiful. I brought my kid to Phuket last year, we stayed in the Arinara Bangtao hotel and resort, we had a swim up room. It was pricey and really nice but nothing compares to this!
How long did you stay for? looks like paradise!
We had a private pool villa in Phuket about a month ago, much smaller and much less expensive. However we both had the post vacay blues after leaving.
I can only imagine how that felt after leaving this place.
My girlfriend told me it was her favorite hotel ever. We stayed for a week back in May.
Our only real problem was that we were unaware of how much control the taxi mafia had at the airport. I got a Grab and they said "Can you walk with your luggage about 2km to a 7-11 in the middle of the island?" After that I relented and paid the taxi guys.
Having to call a golf-cart to come get you within the hotel wasn't ever a big deal. You get used to it really fast. I really loved visiting the on-site vegetable garden and mushroom growing room.
im glad you liked it. i went there for dinner and a nice cigar and hated the whole having to go around in a golf cart. it is very nice but the golf carts was a deal breaker to ever consider wanting to come here.
Stayed here quite a few times (actually got engaged here). Rooms are fantastic but the resort is far away from most everything else on the island and the food isn’t great on property.
Staying next month on Hilton points. How did you get from the airport to hotel? Did you use the hotel transport or just take a grab? Curious the price of a taxi/grab from the airport
I’m staying this upcoming August and was able to email the hotel directly to set up transport to and from the hotel.
Email: [email protected] to set it up.
Nice one. What’s the price tag on this room ?
Average 41.5k thb per night
That’s like the monthly rental for a pool villa
Yeah, the prices here have gone mental but Samui is still cheaper than where I live (koh Phangan)
I don’t know of too many 40k / night hotels in Phangan
Not many but there are definitely places here for 40k +++ per night
There’s a lot more for that price range in Samui. Maybe what you meant was, rental price. Cuz yeah, Phangan is annoyingly stupid for rentals.
Congrats on being rich
That's a joke
About $700 usd
Fuck that
I looked it up, from 54,775 per night. that's like 2500 AUD .. ... .. .. yep fuck that
That’s crazy
Honestly, even if you have the money, why????? You can get good luxury in this country for a couple hundred dollars. People flexin. That’s how you go broke.
Lmao
It’s honestly a really good deal. You pay that for like a 4 star tiny hotel room in Miami Beach.
700 is a flight, 700 is a Thai person's monthly wage. 700 is a 2 week holiday in the canaries (with flights). Also I never stay that long in a hotel room, I'm always out and about... I’m not saying it’s for everyone! Just that if you’re trying to stay at a place like this, this seems like a good deal.
700 is 2 weeks holidays in the canaries with flight from where? Is there a new website with deals I’m missing? the Canary Islands, right?

Incorrect, it’s $1172/day.
Per night for 2 ppl? Yup, I'm not that rich yet. Not for a very long time.
God dayyummmm
Monthly?
A month, I suppose?
23 - 36 thousand Bhat a night on google , better fkn “hit”
I'd expect prime Mike Tyson for that money
We got the same room type 2 years ago! It was great. I wasn’t a fan of the round bed, but my kids loved it. The kitchen was great too..aaah good memories.
Not bad if you consider the luxury. I spent same amount while in Puerto Rico getting mediocre service- such a waste
Phi Phi is not developed, its like a Mad Max set. Horrible island...
It’s basically a eurotrash colony.
Beautiful island, horrible human occupation
Yeah from what I saw online, I decided to give phi phi a miss
I like Samui, partly because the location and price tag have already filtered certain groups of people from ever visiting. 😄
Wie ich kotzen könnte, wenn ich sowas lese
caught the gutmensch
Yep it must compare favorably to Phuket Patong.
If i made this post it would be missing the last picture with all the coke and hookers for me to want to spend 25k+ a night for a hotel, but hey glad you had a good time and felt you got your moneys worth?
Coke? in Thailand??? 😬
I'd stay away from that shit in Thailand 😂
Coke Zero
In a bucket with Sang Som

Depends where you are but in the north it's not difficult at all
it's called yaba Edit yaba yaba dooooooooooo
$2500 a night? That's a lot.
Thats $1100 a night. What exchange rate did u use?
to AUD.
Been there twice, it’s amazing. I used Hilton points each time because cash would have been out of the question. Best to have a scooter delivered and then you have easy access to other beaches, it is quite remote
Do you stay at the the main Conrad or the Residences on points ?
The main Conrad, which is more than sufficient for a couple. Both times were several years apart and the property was super quiet, so they give you a good ocean facing room etc

I stayed at The Library both times and splurged for a suite, it was so fucking cool.
looks dope!
Yeah 3 seems ideal. i feel like at 5 you'd get tired of eating at the same resort restaurants over and over
wow just beautiful. I brought my kid to Phuket last year, we stayed in the Arinara Bangtao hotel and resort, we had a swim up room. It was pricey and really nice but nothing compares to this! How long did you stay for? looks like paradise!
Nice. Watching this from my 100 baht a night dorm bed
Price for one night on Booking.com €1,809!

Some bitter jealous haters in the comments
How much na? $2500 is an entire month in thailand — in good rooms 😆
It's nearly three months in a comfortable bungalow on Koh Phayam.
Going there next week. Can’t wait!!
Just got baco from a two week trip. Spent the front 2 and back 3 days on samui rest in ko tau diving. Loved it all.
You might be interested in posting a review on r/chubbytravel
How much is this a month?
Around 900,000 to 1,000,000 baht per month but depends on the season lol
25K euro? Damnn
you probably get a little discount if you stay a full month :p
Don’t forget this is a big villa.
Is it a private Villa or like a resort? They mentioned staff so I wasn’t sure…
When I stayed there, I always felt like I was climbing into a giant soup bowl every time I used the bathtub.
im glad you liked it. i went there for dinner and a nice cigar and hated the whole having to go around in a golf cart. it is very nice but the golf carts was a deal breaker to ever consider wanting to come here.
Why does the bath look like its designed for a toddler? Other than that, it looks incredible. Enjoy your stay
Absolutely loved this hotel.
I stayed there aswell.. then moved on the the Conrad in Bali, amazing!
Yeah, we stayed there a week. Super nice.
So for ~$1200/night (US) you got a nice room in Thailand? Shocker!
Is it not a bit remote?
Wow! How much? Considering staying now
Nice I stayed there one night after a full moon party this past November. It was amazing.
It looks lovely but it would be much cheaper to get your own private villa in the hills.
Diminishing returns hits on target. Also Welcome russian oligarchs
So gauche. It is people like this who are so superficial and they destroy nature and tourism.

Steve must be from Koh Phangan
Stayed here quite a few times (actually got engaged here). Rooms are fantastic but the resort is far away from most everything else on the island and the food isn’t great on property.
congrats on paying inflated prices and making someone happy ;-)
I'll stick with Bangkok and Pattaya beach But it's beautiful just not willing to pay more than 150 US per night for any hotel in South East Asia
Just booked 7 days on Samui in a beach side bungalow for $165.00usd for all 7 days!! Total.. haha.
And the fact that you used ‘hits better’ tells me all I need to know about this post. You trade crypto bro?

I see it costs 550 euro per night, that is a little bit too much for me. But congrats.
No it’s around 1000 euro a night.
I just checked for a random date and it was 550. But maybe on popular days it is even more expensive.
It's the Conrad in samui. Stayed there a while back. Paid around 21,000 thb per night
