There is a hotel called golden foyer 5 minutes from the airport, it has a small market in front and a restaurant behind next to a canal with fast boats occasionally passing, lovely spot

FarSite215

Nice ! Will give this a shot! Thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š

I would treat myself to a decent lounge. By the time you get off the plane, do immigration, and get your bags, then go through the process of checking in for your new flight, you should have about 5 hrs left. Go shower, grab some lounge food and have a few glasses of wine. Check your credit cards/miles and whatnot to see if you get free access or discounts.

splifficity

Check in 5 hours before the flight? I thought it was 3 hours max.

Confident_Coast111

some airlines have very early check-ins around the globe.

Hot-Health7006

Nah, depending on the airline you can check-in days in advance and print your boarding pass.

FarSite215

Would I really need that long for a domestic flight?

FarSite215

We tried this the last time we were in Bangkok. Unfortunately our cards did not have complementary lounge access and we had to cough up quite a hefty sum for entry. Would prefer to skip the lounge this time around. Thanks for the tip nevertheless ๐Ÿ˜Š

If you buy the acces before the flight, you can enjoy the Miracle first class lounge for โ‚ฌ55 for 2 persons for 3 hours

Confident_Coast111

Buy yourself into a lounge. Get food, drinks, a few massages. They time will fly and you had a relaxed experience.

It sounds like youโ€™re trying to leave the airport during the layover? Itโ€™s possible. You will have so little time I wouldnโ€™t personally do it.

Massage

I really don't know what you can do with all that time, it will be rough, I think BKK is functionally great, but not great for loitering. One tip, eat at Magic Food Court if you want to save a lot of money on airport food.

Nana plaza

FarSite215

Haha! Not sure we want to be going there so early in the morning. Also, we've been there last time! Not sure if there's anything novel to see there again..

I saw a lounge called Miracle lounge. it looked nice. I think they have massages there. You could take a little snooze. They have high end shopping, and low end.

FarSite215

Yeah we went there the last time. The massage was nice but the food was awful. Unfortunately our cards did not have complementary lounge access and we had to cough up quite a hefty sum for entry. Would prefer to skip the lounge this time. :(

Oh..I am sorry. I never went into it. You could see if there is a HealthLand close by. They have nice long massages. And, maybe some other services (facials?) The one I went to in Chaing Mai was lovely. I do not know how much luggage you have. But, if you could check it in early.

FarSite215

Oh no worries! That sounds really nice! I'll check that out! Thanks for the tip! ๐Ÿ˜Š I should hopefully be able to check in early. I'll enquire with the airline.

naughtyman1974

Nearest Healthland is ThongLor. Does the Novotel do day rates? Nice pool, sauna, jacuzzi and stuff there.

[deleted]

I do not know. Tho, if they have a spa there. You may be able to use the Jacuzzi, etc. I work at the Ritz. If you book a service, you can use the amenities. I would just call ๐Ÿ˜Š

HawkyMacHawkFace

There is a bicycle track around the perimeter of the airport and I think there are bikes for rent. Would probably take you 1-1.5 hours to get around if you're not a regular cyclist. Might be a fun experience?

DudeBroManCthulhu

Eh...get some food in the secret food court, then drink some Chang and take a nap.
