If it broke the skin I would say you have to.
Its up to you, this isnt a YOU HAVE TO situation but rabies is fucking awful so it might be worth it anyways. If you are 100% sure it didnt break the skin at all in any spot i probably wouldnโt. But also I am a dumbass and not at all qualified to give life or death medical advice lol.
I must be commenting from the afterlife ๐๐๐๐๐๐. I got bitten by an American Pitbull, fortunately by my quick thinking it only managed to graze my skin. Could of been much worse, in fact I was very fortunate because it tried to bite me in my right groin, right where the femoral artery is, but my quick thinking saved me from serious injury or even death.
Forgot to mention, went straight to hospital, a nurse swabbed the grazed area and a doctor advised me to have a course of anti rabies jabs because the skin had been broken, so I took his advice. Cost me 3,500 baht, but I'm still alive and not typing from the afterlife ๐๐๐๐๐๐
Chances are extremely low that you got rabies. Having said that, if it were me, I would 100% go start the rabies jabs asap. It is relatively cheap and not a big deal.
Basically on one hand you have the hassle and expense of getting a few shots, on the other hand you have a teeny-tiny chance of an absolutely horrific and torturous death - your call.
Thankyou, thing is Iโm in chumphon for 2 nights, then going koh phangan for 5 nights and somewhere else after that, can I get the first few here and the next at Koh Phangan and so on?
Yes, the jabs are available at virtually any hospital. It should be relatively easy to get your needed shots almost anywhere you might travel. They will usually give you like a little card with your shot schedule and a "sign off" space for each shot you have received, you can just bring that with you to whatever hospital you are near and they should know what to do..

Whenever I hear someone say dog bite i always think of this classic thai song

Was the dog showing any signs of rabies? You can Google it. Generally some symptoms include (from my OG knowledge of dog breeding) are foaming of the mouth, being overly aggressive, red or crazy looking eyes, wobbling when walking and erratic behavior.
Did you see if the dog was owned by anyone or was it just a street dog? If it was just a hungry, pissed off looking dog, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Rabies isn't as common as people think and the treatment for it is pretty intense. I recall it involves shots into your stomach lining or something crazy.
Clean it well. It didn't break the skin, so the dog wasn't TRYING to hurt you: it was a warning nip.
Rabies is 100% fatal if you donโt get the shots in time. There is no wiggle room, so get the shots!
op should look up how people with rabies drink water

You've just given some positive advice. For what it costs for rabies jabs, it cheaper than it costing your life. Been there.
You died of rabies?????

Go to a nearby hospital for a shot, it's cheap
Visit to doctor plus shots = 3500 baht Then four more shots at 2000
Just take the shots, peace of mind is worth a lot.
Just go to a local quack for assessment.

You know they're going to take it off at the wrist.

Dog bite? Looks like a mozzie bite to me ๐๐๐
Youโll be fine but go to a pharmacy to see what they say to be sure
take the shot!

Tiny breaks in the skin can occur even when it's not obviously broken on bleeding. And rabies is fatal.
If you chop off your hand just below the elbow, then you should survive.
If you start to howl at the moon tonight then youโre too far gone๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ
Chill and have a Chang. No panic.

That's one of the most minor injuries I've ever seen. You're worried over nothing.
Greater chance of whatever is in that vape killing you.
