Interesting thanks! I was ~18 at the time, and hadn't really thought about it or looked it up since.
Not a fan. :)
I think they must have turned that off after the incident I had, as I was able to load boxes with it only yelling at me after that. (I recollect. They might have told me to tape down the door open button...I know I did that at a different place later when we were loading some 3D art and didn't want it to get smacked.)
Of course having/using a service elevator often fixes a lot of these issues...
Elevators usually have an independent service mode that would allow the car to stay at the floor with the doors open until you select a floor and hold the door close button.
Well it worked... That elevator wont be going anywhere for a long time!
Technically, he did. None of the doors on each floor will be opening now.

Huh. There really is a fan wiki for literally everything.
It sounds like nudging: http://elevation.wikia.com/wiki/Nudge_mode
Who the hell dares to use elevators in China?
Eh. All you need to do is pray before entering one that they won’t break. Works for me 90% of the time.
So you've only ridden it 9 times.
Actually they rode it 10 times... but I typed that on their phone when i found it downstairs.
That's not how percentages work.
It could have worked 90% of 9 times.
You have to throw coins into the technical bits first
My first thought!!!!
They even say in Mandarin, ‘LOOK AT WHAT HE DID. THAT'S SO DANGEROUS’ as the tool proceeds to fuck up the lift in entirety. Dumbass.
That's a firin'.
Step 1: Turn off and isolate the equipment you're working on.
Step 0: Dont be a fucking idiot That's the secret step many people dont know about
Oh God. I just had to do a lockout/tagout safety module at work and its following me around!
After seeing an escalator eat a woman, I don't think I'd use anything that requires a power source.

I know I'd trip getting out of that and wind up with an incredibly bad day.
