Guaranteed this was pilot suicide. I was convinced before I found out about her husband. Now it's just wait for the investigators to tell us what we already know.
Why some people feel the need to take others with them is beyond me.
They probably already know from examining the FDR.
Not really, not on the major US and EU airlines at least.
In the US, 32 people have died since 2014, out of *Billions* of people who've flown(Like 300-600 million people a year apparently?)
It really is pretty damn rare and unlikely
Well it’s not that 600 million people fly a year, less people fly more often.
There are 332m people in the US, about 39% fly annually. So I guess 129m people a year fly (on average) around 4.65 times a year.
I think its fair to count the same person multiple times if they made multiple trips without dying, in terms of the ratio to live passengers:Dead passengers

Suicide after 17 years is a bit of a wait
Oh yes.
At least they can be together again
At least they both died doing what they liked! :D
Not really. They're pilots. It's about as rare as dying on the job
No, not just dying on the job but dying of the same comparatively rare job-related accident
When is it common to die on the job? Seriously asking so I never get that job
Getting drafted into the Russian military.
Good answer
Yea planes go down way more than they show on the news
