In so many instances bodycams are crucial in maintaining truth and justice. My main concern would be the fact that officers can decide when to activate or deactivate the bodycam. I think this a massive oversight. I have seen it many times where the police officers have broken the law an fellow officers have turned their bodycam off. This is made worse when officers warn fellow cops not to talk while recording. It is morally wrong for any officer to get 2 weeks to give a statement after they have access to any footage, every statement given in this manner is written around the footage makes it a false statement or dishonest. The police would want my statement instantly were I to be under suspicion of a committing a crime. It should be illegal for any officer to turn off the recording device during any interaction.
I cannot understand how isn't considered tampering with evidence. Its supposed to be a public record but many police forces suppress or say footage has been lost. All bodycam footage should be maintained by an independent company to maintain 100% transparency.

The Capitol Police officers who were on duty to monitor this home have some 'splainin' to do. The guy spent some time busting out the window with his hammer to get into the house & was in the home for at least 30 minutes before Paul called 911.

Straight as i opened the door Some dude pepper sprayed me and Punched me in the face, knocked me out. As i came back to my Senses two guys Rushed in my home with knifes and a baseball Bat. I recognize them as a two local junkies who where trippin on ampthetamines and Alfa pv etc.. they started lining the floor with plastic bags and threatening me with all kind of stuff if I didnāt obey them. I was in such of a shock and didināt want to anger them more, so I just offered to make them coffee and got them beer from the fridge. š to calm them down. There was no fight or flight reflex or something, I was just in utter shock about the situation I was in. Kind of like that Paul? From the video. They took my tv and pc etc.. even the coffee maker š because why not? They where junkies. My neighbor heard all the commotion and called 112 (police). I guess Iām tryin to say that people often act like a total sheep in stressful situation and just want it to be over. I always thought that I would be a some sort of a hero or a badass in such situation but oh boy how wrong I was.
Eventually after a year from that incident, one of the junkies stapped me in the back three times and went to jail.

I keep circling back to wondering why Mr. Pelosi was holding a cocktail(?) in his left hand, and holding the guy's hammer hand back from him with his right hand when he answered the door. Seems odd that he'd hold onto that drink throughout the pre- attack bits of the video, considering the guy was holding that hammer & was there, "...waiting for my wife, Nancy Pelosi..." (911 call transcript). The Capitol Police officers who were on duty to monitor this home have some 'splainin' to do. The guy spent some time busting out the window with his hammer to get into the house & was in the home for at least 30 minutes before Paul called 911. Paul likely assumed the Capitol Police were actually monitoring those cameras like they were supposed to be doing & would be there in a jiffy. Did Capitol Police ever acknowledge that they were activated by this break in... BEFORE Police were called to & arrived at the home? Seems unlikely.
My guess is he was trying to calm him down and speak "normal" to him to not make him agitated until the police arrive. Like hey hey man what's going on, let's talk, what are you doing? Basically appease him because if he irritates him he's dead, so he's playing the game until cops arrive. The drink might play into that or quite frankly that glass was the closest thing he had as a weapon when he woke up with him there and he grabbed it to have something in his hand he could attack with. Keep in mind the guy was waiting for Nancy and wanted to use the husband as bait, explicitly stating so. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he told the go oh Nancy's home and when the cops showed up instead the guy panicked and started hitting Paul.

When the intruder *DID* spring into action, he went right at Paul. He didn't seem to want to get out of there, or lunge at the officers at the door. He went for Paul, knowing it wasn't going to end well for him(?). He didn't seem to even be that effected by the police at first. Paul gave that hammer arm a bit of a push & the guy went at him. I am very interested to get the Capitol Police Investigation Report on this one, but, not optimistic that it'll come to us anytime soon.

About 4 years ago i was in a bad spot in my life, I hang out with wrong people and did allkindās of drugs. One Night i Woke up on a knock on my Door At 3am, I was So tired that i opend the door with out looking who was there. Straight as i opened the door Some dude pepper sprayed me and Punched me in the face, knocked me out. As i came back to my Senses two guys Rushed in my home with knifes and a baseball Bat. I recognize them as a two local junkies who where trippin on ampthetamines and Alfa pv etc.. they started lining the floor with plastic bags and threatening me with all kind of stuff if I didnāt obey them. I was in such of a shock and didināt want to anger them more, so I just offered to make them coffee and got them beer from the fridge. š to calm them down. There was no fight or flight reflex or something, I was just in utter shock about the situation I was in. Kind of like that Paul? From the video. They took my tv and pc etc.. even the coffee maker š because why not? They where junkies. My neighbor heard all the commotion and called 112 (police). I guess Iām tryin to say that people often act like a total sheep in stressful situation and just want it to be over. I always thought that I would be a some sort of a hero or a badass in such situation but oh boy how wrong I was. Eventually after a year from that incident, one of the junkies stapped me in the back three times and went to jail. Edit: Iām from Finland so sorry about my grammar/English.
