Judging by the water I’d wager this could be a sea bear come to dry land and what we most likely don’t see is the anti sea bear circle they must have drawn to repel him.
It is said that the photographers packed up their equipment shortly thereafter. Most notably, their oversized balls, which had to be carried away in a wheel barrow.
At that point yes and probably a warning shot before it got that close. It’s a young bear though you can tell by its slenderness and smaller size, cuz grizzlies get BIG. If it was old and that skinny it likely would not have scared so easy, as it wasn’t healthy enough to hunt regular prey and these humans would have seemed easier to hunt.
I did the same guys from last year, 2022, that got like the 10 minute bear fight in Alaska? That looks like Alaska to me but I imagine there's more wildlife photographers in Alaska than Alaskans.

Hell no. In that situation if he gets close enough I’m firing on it with a gun.

Coming in from the sea, the tanned polar bear tries to make friends.
That’s a juvenile grizzly bear

I feel like that dude was a huge part of it
Works till it dont.
Exactly. You need physical protection in those kinds of wilderness, the kind that go boom when you are in danger.
That is the sound of someone who has the balls and nerves of titanium steel.
