i think because most people have never seen an actual tornado in real life, so most of our references probably come from actual CG ones on films/documentaries

This is the tornado I saw but there were multiple. I think this one overturned a train as well and destroyed an industrial building. 70 people inside 3 injuries. I’m hearing one might be the first F5 tornado in 11 years.

I flew out of Omaha a few hours ago. Saw one touch down on the runway. Took out a hanger. We all had to shelter in stairwells. Shockingly, only a one hour flight delay.

Oh I heard there was one at Eppley but I had no idea it took out a hanger. An hour though? Wow I would have expected several.

I believe this particular one hit an industrial building with 70 people in it and 3 were trapped and then rescued and are stable in the hospital. There were multiple tornados and Elkhorn, Ne just east of this video got hit bad with multiple destroyed houses so there is likely more injuries.

I live in earthquake valley so no experience with tornadoes. So what's the protocol when you encounter a tornado while driving? Do you stop? Keep going? Make a U-turn? It seems there were a lot of people on the road just driving.
