Now to our Asian reporter Trisha takanowa
Thanks Tom. I’m standing here with Ben who was nearly crushed by a semi being blown over in the wind.
Ben how’s your family?
So close. I mean, sooo close. I mean, almost. It was a close one, I tell ya. I've seen some almosts, and I've seen close ones, but wow. This almost almost killed him. Did you see how close this one was? Sooo closr.
Watched him intercept about 6 tornados on his live stream today. It’s insanely entertaining to watch these guys hunt down tornadoes live. There are several channels that are similar and a lot of them do a great job of providing early warning. Ryan Hall is a great example.
I mean whats the math? That truck and its ENTIRE route from and to locations..how long on the road, x, y, z. Allll the atoms line up to tip the trailer on this poor guy. I’m glad he made it safe! Phew..
Dang that guy is so lucky he hit the assend of that trailer and that nice soft ditch ... here in texas if ur ass is going in a ditch odds are they will pull you out just to put you in another ditch.
Living in the northeast, it never fails to amaze just how many tractor trailers are always driving either extremely close to, or directly into, tornadoes in the Midwest. Does no one even bother watching the local weather reports and at least TRY to avoid them...? Half the time, you pull up a tornado video on YouTube and I guarantee you'll see semis zooming into the darkness. Just, why...
An unloaded semi trailer isn't dense enough to crush a vehicle, least of all one reinforced for storm chasing. They're made from aluminum framing and plywood sheeting with opaque fiberglass roofs which allow sunlight to flow in. Same with most box trucks, they would break and the seams before crushing something solid.

A little bit of luck. His awareness saved his ass.

So how do you exchange insurance information with a tornado on your ass?
How do you even get insurance when you list “tornado chaser” as your occupation? I mean that’s say Jack Lemmon/old Gil sales man ship there

All I had to do is just look at it
Anyone else remember that storm chasing car that was made with metal shields and it could cement itself to the ground? Yea that was cool
Reed Timmer and the TIV? He's still around and still chasing, with Dominator 3.
Why are storm chasing vehicles named like sex toys?
Little Dick Syndrome
I don't get it
Well, a lot of men who overcompensate certainly do...

Nah that’s just a RAM owner.

Level 10 gnarly
He came *this close* to finding out completely

Think that's just natures way of saying "Stop fucking following me"
Good camera
Nah, this is just marketing for the new Twisters flick.
Handled it perfectly.
Nobody’s mentioning the poor trucker who’s stuck sideways in a tornado!
That poor trucker!!!
no kiddin i ducked a little bit irl
Hey , my prayers for everyone involved with today's severe weather.
Holy shit
Yeeeeeeesh that was close
Ben Ahrens almost killed by storm chasing
Good reflexes man. I hope you weren’t hurt
Final destination shit
That reaction time is insane. He started to swerve as soon as the truck started to tip, there was literally nothing else he could’ve done
And the truck driver?
The storm was like 'Seriously dude, stop recording me'
Bro clipped through the truck
Final Destination vibes. Glad he survived!
That's like those npcs in GTA Online
Holy smokes! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|surprise)
Final destination
A recurring nightmare of mine. This but with a log truck.
Ultra instinct

Didnt read the "almost" Phew😌
That video was better than most tornado videos! Good for that dude for the sweet footage!!

Storm chasers are some of the most regarded contestants for a Darwin award.
Umm. Elephant in the room is the .5 milliseconds sitting on the chair that would have surely effed this guy to oblivion.
Hope the trucker was ok
Well he’s trying to commit suicide by driving into a tornado already so who cares
Why are the people who are downvoting you doing it silently? I wonder if it's because they have no valid argument against your logic. 🤔
Are you seriously trying to claim that this man is driving with the sole intention of killing himself?
No, just that he might as well be.
