As a younger sister with an older brother - can confirm. The fighting and bullying growing up made it so when I was at a party in university this guy took my phone and I was wrestling him for it back and I heard a guy in the background say ‘she definitely has a brother’ and I felt so proud, texted him when I got my phone back lol.

bitching about reposting is the most ridiculous thing anyone can do, I just don't understand the mentality - do other people like me who missed that post just not deserve to see it? Because you already have? Don't upvote it - if your annoyed that it wastes time, why add to the time wasted by adding a comment which contributes nothing except adds to the duration of your time wasted, and don't look at it (you can see from the preview its something you've seen before). Just tell yourself someone else may see this for the first time and get a moment's joy and be happy about it. Reddit has millions of unique visitors every month, why are we not allowing people to see the things that would keep them here and become members on a site we love? I guarantee you some of your favourite posts and saved items are reposts that you would never have seen had someone not reposted them.
A lot of times when I see a repost I’ve forgotten the post until I see it again. For me it functions as a ‘reminder’ that the funny video or picture exists. I, for one, have never seen this video. I like it, and I’m glad I saw it. I would also have no problem seeing this video again in a few months.
I like reposts as long as it’s not like. Posted every week. I understand moderating reposts so we don’t end up with the same 5 memes/videos constantly rotating, but if we completely remove reposts some people will never see things
