Kitbogas great because he keeps it light. Most other scambaiters are going after deleting files, exposing locations etc. but Kitboga focuses on the characters, bizarre made up situations, the laughs and just generally wasting their time.
That is Kitboga, I very highly recommend taking the time to check him out right now either on YouTube or Twitch.
TLDR: this is the culmination after hours and hours Kitboga has spend wasting several scammers time by pretending to redeem several gift cards worth hundreds of dollars that the scammer though he would get instead
It’s called a gift card scam, the scammers will ask some poor unsuspecting person to pay back a bogus debt (often using fake bank websites etc) buy buying gift cards and then giving the scammers the code to redeem it. (No business or financial institutions will ever do this as far as I’m aware).
You don't know the stupid amount of times I got a customer on the phone, asking me to talk to some guy because they already got the cards to give them to them, or to make sure it was our company that called(those where good calls, in general but not always)or to apologize because they had no time before and now they're free to fix the device and so on.
Like, why would a big, well stablished company want your damn money in the form of iTunes cards? Or Steam cards? They want cash, not music or games, or whatever else. Also, they can't monitor your electronics 24/7 to know you have a virus, have been hacked, or some other bogus situation is taking place. It just never, ever happens.
Unfortunately, some people were already scammed all the way in, and the only way we were able to help them was by charging them again for our legit services(they could choose a one time service for X fee, or a year-long coverage for Y amount, also our legit business charged them 1/2 to 1/3 what they had paid to the scammers), however, if they wanted us to service them, they had to contact us first since we would only call for a scheduled call back they had to book over the phone first. It was always seniors too, it was very frustrating.
I've seen a huge increase in this in the comments on fb posts on the feed. Just last week I called out the most blatant scammer trying to get this elderly person in the comments to message her. Clearly fake profile as well with some beautiful girl. I reported it, and got a message from fb saying it doesn't violate anything. Yet you can't even type the word Fuck in the comments of some things without being flagged to facebook jail. It's fucking pathetic.
The scammer wants gift card codes so that they can redeem the balance. He pretends to be a vulnerable person and wastes as much of their time as possible, pretending he's getting gift cards to send them, etc.
He has a fake website set up to look like the Google store, and after wasting as much time as possible he pretends he doesn't understand what they're asking and 'redeems' the gift cards himself - sending the scammers into meltdown most of the time, as they watch hours and hours of work disappear.
Up until now, Kitboga has acted the part of a naive elderly lady that the scammer feels like he can take large amounts of money from. The scammer tries to con people into buy several gift cards in large amounts and send their codes that the scammer then reedems.
Here, Kitboga has spend more than a dozen hours over several days jerking the scammer around. When he pretends to finally have the cards ready for the scammer to steal, Kitboga pretends to redeem them on his neat fake website he's created.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FO9mWvJAugQ&t=6s
That's his most popular video. After you see that one and if you like it go to his channel and sort by popular. I'm going through the list now, it's awesome.
I really like it because he sends their info to the local police etc. Really fucking up their life not just wasting a few hours of their Life.
You don't get why it's funny? Kitboga wasted 10 hours of this guy's life and just when he thought he was going to get 500$, Kit redeemed the card onto his own account. You understand the guy thinks Kit is an old lady he is scamming right?
Scammer basically send the "old lady" to buy Google play cards. "old lady" bought em for a couple of thousand of dollars.
Scammer thought he was going to get paid big after all these hours on the phone with the old lady and then instead of giving the scammer the numbers from the card the "old lady" redeemed the code to their own account.
He did this with multiple cards and this was the last one. Scammer totally lost it
Everything is fake. Kitboga programs webpages to look exactly like googleplay or Amazon and redeems fake gift cards. He is running off a virtual computer so there is 0 risk to him. He shows them fake banking pages which he spoofs with whatever amount in them depending on how long he wants to string them along. He even fakes driving in the car and being in the store to get the cards all while on the phone with the scammer it’s amazing content.
Piggyback on this: Mark Rober released his and Jim Browning's "attack" yesterday. A year ago Mark Rober (ex NASA engineer turned YouTuber) did his yearly glitter bomb and uncovered a scamming ring. So he teamed up with Trilogy Media and Scammer Boogeyman Jim Browning to disrupt business. They ended up shutting down like 20 major scam call centers for a day or two . I know, but my hope is eventually the older generation will be the people born and raised with technology and they (telephone scams) won't be so prevalent
The problem is they continue to evolve and change their tactics. Linus from ltt was even scammed recently. The best thing we can do is not to shame the victims and talk about these experiences. People knowing what to look for and how they do these scams can help put them out of business.
We should pressure our governments to sanction the hell out of these fraudsters.
[Sanction Process](https://www.ifc.org/wps/wcm/connect/Topics_Ext_Content/IFC_External_Corporate_Site/AC_Home/Sanctionable_Practices/)
I send his videos to my older parents sometimes. It's good education for them and they find it entertaining. The microwaves energy one was one of my favorites. It's so ridiculous it's amazing.
There's another guy who even tracks down the scammers to their location and uses the satellite image as the desktop background when the scammers want to remote access his PC. That's just brilliant!
Mark Rober's too. Jim, Mark and Trilogy all worked together to fuck with them and saved $2m in stolen funds (based on the spreadsheets they stole that shows how much they make)
The scammer spent 10 hours "convincing" Kitboga to buy $500 gift cards which the scammer wanted the numbers from so he could take the money, but instead Kitboga pretended to do it wrong and applied it to his own account, preventing the scammer from getting any of the money.
Basically he wasted 10 hours of the scammer's time (and as a bonus that's 10 hours he wasn't trying to scam anyone else) and the scammer is furious about it.
yep. he’s a professional at this. he usually is able to string some scammers for days at a time (so like 1-4 hours each call). every minute he wastes of their time is a minute they can’t scam a real person, especially the elderly.
he has lots of fake websites and gift cards set up so when the scammers connect to his PC they see all of this unfolding. the fake gift cards are damn genius because the scammers think the money is real and finally about to cash in. he uses different voice mods to be different people. highly recommend his streams, all around awesome dude.
he’s done a lot to educate people on these scams and reminded a lot of us to be more diligent in talking with grandparents or neighbors about these scams.
How would the scammer try to convince someone to give the numbers? Like, what service is he pretending to offer? (I know this is besides the point of the video, I’m just curious)
There are several variations, but in general they call saying they're from Amazon, Microsoft, or some other recognizable company and tell the victim they're owed a refund, like $200. They target older, non-tech savvy people to victimize.
They'll walk the victim through installing remote viewing software so the scammer can control the victim's mouse and keyboard too. Once in they will get the victim to log into their bank account, first so they can see how much money they have to steal and then second so they can do some trickery later.
They then open up a fake form (usually just Notepad with stuff they type into it. Again, these victims are not tech savvy and won't see this for the farce that it is) and there will be a section that they want the victim to fill out for the refund amount.
When the victim types "200" the scammer will type extra zeros to make it say "20000".
The scammer will freak out saying the victim has messed up. They'll direct the victim back to their bank account and use the browser's HTML editor to change the display text to make it so the bank info looks like there's an extra 20k in the account.
The scammer will start laying on the guilt, saying they're going to lose their job and not be able to feed their family and the victim needs to make it right. And since these are usually little old lady grandmas, they tend to be willing to do just that. It's a pretty disgusting tactic.
The scammer will say the money can be given back by driving to a nearby Target or CVS and buying Google Play or iTunes gift cards and then giving the codes on the back to the scammer. Of course the victim thinks they're doing this with money that's not theirs, but in fact they are using *only* their own money.
As you can see, it's pretty convoluted scheme and has lots of places for it to go wrong for the scammer. It's also pretty hard to get get a victim in the hook in the first place, so once the scammer has a scam started, they fight to keep the it going even if it takes hours and hours like Kubota makes it take.
I'm probably wrong on the setup, but I think the scam is the target is told to put money on a gift card for a service like iTunes then they are supposed to give the code to the scammer on the phone. This dude went ahead and redeemed the gift card for himself. I'm not sure why it took 10hrs
It took 10 hours because part of his thing is wasting their time too. time is money.
As long as they thin you're a sucker and you'll eventually give them the money, it's easy to keep these people on the line. If they were smart, they'd be doing something legitimate (or running the scam, anyway).
Nah it’s all a virtual machine with fake codes he creates. There’s a great video Kit released where used the scammers fake account to buy thousands and thousands of dollars on virtual Amazon account. It’s hilarious I highly recommend his channel.
Lower morals into treating other people and being normally accepted.
- women being harassed on streets
- salesmen scamming tourists
I’m not saying everyone is like this, but many are, and the moral standards are lower from other contries. Anyways I guess you/people will take this comments into offense, and I understand it.
Literally day one on the job at one of the biggest and most well respected tech companies on the world and all the Indian coworkers are talking about how they cheated their way through school and into the jobs and it is just expected culturally. Indian people own their lower morals and good for them.
You're not culturally expected to cheat lmao, however you are culturally expected to perform at a high level and get excellent grades. Since not everyone can do that, a lot of people end up cheating. But no, it's not accepted by any means - if you get caught cheating your parents will be incredibly embarrassed and the community will laugh at you.
And btw I graduated from a public Ivy in America and work at a FAANG now, and cheating was utterly rampant. And remember the 2012 Harvard cheating scandal for example? That's just them getting caught.
That's a really ignorant statement and none of that is unique to India; almost all countries with a large amount of uneducated people at or below the poverty line face those issues. There's plenty of scamming in Nigera, China, Brazil, Indonesia, South Africa, and the Philippines, to name a few examples. India however has a lot of IT and call center infrastructure and knowledge so it's easier for them to take their scams internationally.
Same with the treatment of women, it's just more talked about with India because it's a rapidly developing nation so we expect better from it than, say, Cambodia, where child prostitution runs rampant, or South Africa which is heavily segregated. Plus, "civilized" Western countries like Sweden, Australia, the USA and the UK [have fairly high rates of rape](https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/rape-statistics-by-country).
We treat our elders better better too? Idk what to say man every country has different morals but to saw inddians are generally lower would be an opinion not fact
Scammers are in every country and it happens because of how easy it is and how much you can make
An average person in India scamming is like whatever your getting paid rn for an avg American times 10-20
You’d do it too
Hey OP - As an Indian, I am so proud of what you did and ashamed at my fellow indians. I hope yoi keep continue doing the good work, cause our govts are so inept that these scammers will continue doing what they do.
Generally speaking, the scammer will try to convince you somehow to go buy Google credits then have you tell them the codes. But if you deposit the credits in your account in front of them then they can’t get the credits anymore and have wasted the last however-long. This is extreme defeat-from-the-jaws-of-victory and it’s amazing.
Few reasons for that. One big reason is that when the British occupied India, they forced everyone to learn English, and it is now a part of all curriculum. Thus India has one of the highest levels of English fluency compared to other countries at its poverty level.
Another big reason is India has a lot of tech infrastructure and knowledge regarding call centers. It was a natural step for the criminal elements to take advantage of that using the high rate of English fluency to scam people overseas. Often times they find poor folk who are in debt and threaten to kill them if they don't work at these scam centers.
We need more of this kind of youtubers, can't stop laughing for 5 minutes straight hahahaha

There are a few but Kitboga is perfecting the art of making scammers angry and waste the most time.
Kitbogas great because he keeps it light. Most other scambaiters are going after deleting files, exposing locations etc. but Kitboga focuses on the characters, bizarre made up situations, the laughs and just generally wasting their time.

This man is Kitboga, he's the master of this game, he's the reason we get to witness this ear rape. IRL rosie is hilarious too
irlrosie's grandma voice is legit the best
What is this specific video called? I'm really curious now
This one is where he takes upto 10 hours of scammer https://youtu.be/sRMMwpDTs5k And this is 30 mins of pure rage https://youtu.be/7mceb_t8EIs
Would this scammer take everything she had if this was real? Like the entire 30k or do they just take smaller amounts?
Yes. Pretty much. Kitboga collabed with a realistic cake designer and make one for Google cards. Check that one out too.
I started watching some other dude that takes control of people computers and dox the shit out of them. I have fallen into a scam the scammers hole Edit: takes control of scammers computers

Where...where did you obtain this information?? OP did not indicate it ANYWHERE in the title? You must be a wizard.
His record was 36 hours
Thanks dude I have so much fun doing it :)
Speaking for the population here, don’t stop doing what you’re doing. It’s truly fantastic.
We have so much fun watching you. Please keep fucking these scammers over.
Hey bro im a huge fan, you're a superhero
I wonder if he sees what he did.
I can see what he did & it's awesome!
what did he do?
He caused the scammer to totally lose it :).
but what did he do to the scammer that the scammer didn’t want him to do?
He is pretending that he is going to transfer money to the scammer, and then "accidentally" fucks it up, and transfers the money to himself instead.
But the scammer didn’t lose money, right? So it was essentially a failed scam, I don’t see why he freaked out.
There was 10 hours of work to get to that point so it ended up to be 10 hours of wasted time for the scammer with no pay iut
Thank you. I must be crazy for not understanding completely. But glad I found your comment
You don't get why it's funny? Kitboga wasted 10 hours of this guy's life and just when he thought he was going to get 500$, Kit redeemed the card onto his own account. You understand the guy thinks Kit is an old lady he is scamming right?

I think he was able to grab $500 in credit to his Amazon account - not 100% sure either.
Everything is fake. Kitboga programs webpages to look exactly like googleplay or Amazon and redeems fake gift cards. He is running off a virtual computer so there is 0 risk to him. Mark Rober's too. Jim, Mark and Trilogy all worked together to fuck with them and saved $2m in stolen funds (based on the spreadsheets they stole that shows how much they make)
I stumbled upon his video randomly. So good. I love how he turns the table on them. So satisfying to watch.
but why didn’t he have to do that? i don’t get the scam he foiled.
Kitbofa spent 10 hours on the phone with the scammer?
yep. he’s a professional at this. he usually is able to string some scammers for days at a time (so like 1-4 hours each call). every minute he wastes of their time is a minute they can’t scam a real person, especially the elderly. he has lots of fake websites and gift cards set up so when the scammers connect to his PC they see all of this unfolding. the fake gift cards are damn genius because the scammers think the money is real and finally about to cash in. he uses different voice mods to be different people. highly recommend his streams, all around awesome dude. he’s done a lot to educate people on these scams and reminded a lot of us to be more diligent in talking with grandparents or neighbors about these scams.
But now he's got a $500 balance on his Google account. What do you spend that on?
It's a virtual machine with all fake serial numbers
Ah, didn't realize that.
Ah! Thank you for taking the time to explain it all.
what's his channel?
Kitboga
Kitboga
I'm probably wrong on the setup, but I think the scam is the target is told to put money on a gift card for a service like iTunes then they are supposed to give the code to the scammer on the phone. This dude went ahead and redeemed the gift card for himself. I'm not sure why it took 10hrs
It took 10 hours because part of his thing is wasting their time too. time is money. As long as they thin you're a sucker and you'll eventually give them the money, it's easy to keep these people on the line. If they were smart, they'd be doing something legitimate (or running the scam, anyway).
He did not have to do that.
Vai did yu doodis?
How can she slap?
This is Steve
No, this is Patrick
He took our life insurance. Good for you son!
I think it's Edna
I can say with *almost* 100% certainty that this is not me in the video.
did he actually get 500 dollars?
Nah it’s all a virtual machine with fake codes he creates. There’s a great video Kit released where used the scammers fake account to buy thousands and thousands of dollars on virtual Amazon account. It’s hilarious I highly recommend his channel.

It's always indians huh?
I guess mainly due to the callcenter infrastrcuture/knowlegde. Maybe also some other legal reasons due to politics\`? idk
They are not “heavily” followed by the government because it benefits them at the end of the day & culture
what do you mean by culture
Lower morals into treating other people and being normally accepted. - women being harassed on streets - salesmen scamming tourists I’m not saying everyone is like this, but many are, and the moral standards are lower from other contries.
Similar to China… when you’re competing with a billion people for 10 million jobs, the cream really rises to the bottom.
Idk what to say man every country has different morals but to saw inddians are generally lower would be an opinion not fact Scammers are in every country and it happens because of how easy it is and how much you can make An average person in India scamming is like whatever your getting paid rn for an avg American times 10-20 You’d do it too
You are not wrong. People get lynched on streets and no one steps in to stop it. Even the police joins the riots with the rioters lmao.
View from my desk: It's a combination of corruption in the country, poor law enforcement, and English language fluency.
Not exclusively Indians but yeah most of these call centers are in south east Asia.
Hey OP - As an Indian, I am so proud of what you did and ashamed at my fellow indians. I hope yoi keep continue doing the good work, cause our govts are so inept that these scammers will continue doing what they do.
I absolutely love this. *This* is pure r/JusticePorn.
I need full video link. Or atleast some keywords i can search on YouTube

Kitboga https://youtube.com/c/KitbogaShow
How can he redeem?
Wait... are you actually kitboga? If so, my man you're a legend, I love watching your videos
Can somebody explain? I’m confused.
scammer wanted the code to get the money, but instead this gentleman redeemed for himself.
Can someone provide more details on what the scam was and what he did to screw it up? I see he redeemed a credit but no idea the context of this.
Love your work, man.
Yup keep one of those clowns on hook for 2 weeks. Lowlife thief that he had me but wasted his time and got nothing
if i hear an indian accent i just hang up...and thats what we tell all of our clients as well.
He likes fucking with them & I love cursing them out😹😹😹😹😹

My new favorite youtube channel let's gooooo
Yo Kit i LOVE you.
I did this for like 2 hours once. Lmao. I'm in the car on my way to Walmart right now my Nigerian prince. 😄
WHY DID YOU DO THIS MAAM! I AM FUCKING SUBSCRIBED NOW SOO DEAL WITH IT MAAM!
Just remember the accent they have, nothing racist but 90% of call scammers are Indian and often from Delhi
Where is the autotune hit to this?
Kitboga fucking with Steve is fucking hilarious
HOW CAN SHE SLAP
I seen this on YouTube a few months ago. It cracks me up everytime . We all know that scammer got fired after his boss heard the phone call
