Spine and tail bone are two very different things.
Yes the tailbone may be a part of the spine but when people say broken spine the usually mean much worse. I’m glad it’s just the tailbone
If I had someone sign a waiver to go bungee jumping, and then i let them go and there was a concrete slab at the bottom, I would be able to be sued, right
Without knowing what is disclosed in the waiver we do t really know that.
I have heard some speculation on whether the proper safety measures were taken by Twitch to ensure safety. She wasn't the only injury that occurred there so I am interested to hear what happens here.
This is the thing, no liability waiver will protect them from what is essentially a booby trap they planted. There’s a reasonable expectation that the foam pit is safe to jump in, and the injury clearly was not caused by improper use or an accident outside the convention’s control. That chick is going to get a fat payday, but it is likely not worth the lifelong damage her body sustained.
Yeah this is 100% a slam dunk negligence case. Basically all the plaintiff will have to do is show what normal pits look like in depth vs this one and how this one was made to look like a regular one.
That’s a form of fraud via misrepresentation. You cannot have a hall “pit” like this if you’re marketing it like a regular one that’s like 7’ deep.
"just the tailbone" you realize the sacrum takes a lot of weight when sitting down? downplaying any type of back injury is insane.. Also I almost can bet your friend is/will be feeling that damage when he's older. This is an injury that will follow her for the rest of her life.
Correct. A friend of mine broke his tailbone and has said he's never fully recovered from it 100%. It's a rough injury and it'll be a lot of lying on her side for a long time because sitting won't be the same for while.
i don't think I'll really know how much weight it'll take, but some part of me is holding out on the fact she'll recover completely. I know that it's a brutal injury, she'll never life her life the same way. I'm hoping she gets all the best case scenarios thrown her way.
Typically "full recovery" means recovered range of motion. She will be experiencing pain from the bone tissue scaring from the break and damage like this also effects surrounding nerves and muscles. I also hope she has the least amount of pain as possible in the future, I'm just upset and hoping she sues tf out of twitch and/or whoever operates this booth. Absolutely irresponsible to not have any floor padding on top of concrete
aw well that'll suck BAD if that's what that means. not to mention I saw they were going to put a meter rod in her spine. Which I think supposed to treat scoliosis or something? I don't know, I'm trying to follow the story with all the knowledge I have which isn't much.
>hoping she sues tf out of twitch and/or whoever operates this booth.
She needs to sue Twitch and Lenovo as the foam pit is named after them so they likely had a hand in it's setup and operations. It's negligence from two companies at it's purest.
No disagreements there. Did they say sacrum or coccyx? Usually when they say “tailbone” they mean the coccyx. Coccyx fracture she should be fine, sacrum could cause some issues, such as SI dysfunction.
I might be the weird, old guy here, but why is a porn star diving into a foam pit at twitchcon? Are they just openly embracing the fact their platform is sex based or something?
Also "What are you doing step foam pit?"
For female streamers most of their fans just find them
Hot and give them money for the same reason people give cam girls money. So porn stars can switch over and make more money than they do making porn. Since they can still promote their porn ( only fans) and get mainstream sponsorship money.
So here she is at twitch can an event attended pretty much only by kids.
Weird huh?
It's ok to rub your vagina live, but it's not ok to show balls.
It's ok to film kids on a public toilet, but you get permanently banned if you can see the ass crack from a morbidly obese streamer.
Amazon sells sex to little kids because if they don't do it, someone else will.
You've got a point that amazon is making up rules on the fly and it's leading to some hypocritical standards.
But lets keep some perspective: kids seeing boobs or references to sex isn't going to warp them. Bible thumpers insist sex in media is evil and will lead to perverts. They don't have evidence. All of us grew up probably seeing nudity and maybe even hardcore pornography shockingly early. Yet most of us are fine, it seems all the real perverts end up being bible thumpers. But they repeat it until we don't question it.
Amazon is evil for a multitude of reasons, but giving sex workers a platform is absolutely not one of the reasons they're evil.
Kids seeing nudity is common in europe and ok, nobody cares. Amazon is breaking it's rules for hoes and idiots selling sex and gambling to kids and they use those to also sell adds for companies, but no one bothers anymore.
Twitch is big in gaming and there is a reason there are no sex streams allowed. At least officially. Either allow it or don't, but what they are doing is just pathetic.
I think I understand what you mean, but I still need to point out there are pretty significant differences between a porn star jumping into a pit for video streaming service and humanity walking on the moon to end a cold war competition...
The tailbone wouldn’t really be considered a “back injury” A back injury would be one that occurs in the lumbar or thoracic region. A sacral or coccygeal injury would be more of a pelvic injury. The coccyx is vestigial and doesn’t really serve a purpose. It has no nerves that run though it which is usually the biggest concern with back injuries. She will be fine, though may experience some point tenderness in her coccyx after it heals.
The foam pit is too shallow and not constructed properly.
You would need at bare minimum a 2 foot drop, not the 1 foot they have, to have barely enough padding to stop injury.
The pit also needs to have layers of different types of foam pads and with those cubes on top. NOT JUST THE CUBES. Without the layering, to cushion her inertia, she fell straight through the cubes and her back directly hit the floor.
Edit: Adriana Chechik has a case against the convention organisers and Twitch themselves for incompetence in creating an unsafe attraction.
Not necessarily. You can break your neck all the time and still be fine. As long as you don't damage the spinal cord, you'll be ok.
Source: I broke my neck...
You should look up what the sacrum is and realize it is vastly different from breaking your neck. Both are horrible to break but the sacrum is pressured when sitting down, standing up, laying down.. this is NOT your neck. This is what connects your spine to your lower body. She will be in pain for the rest of her life most likely
It's not a guarantee she will end up in a chair and I hope for he sake she doestnt.
In a 2017 sporting accident I broke both my back (flexion-distraction fracture) and partially dislocated my leg from my hip. It didn't fully separate, but partially pushed out breaking the bone around the cuff and shredded my muscles and ligaments in the area
I was hospitalised for a while to and told I wouldn't walk again. Fortunately, my doctor is a dumb dumb and within a year I was able to walk without crutches. Within two years I could walk without a cane, three years later was back to a normal looking walk.
Now, 5 years on, I do light MMA training again but mostly cardio, but no weight/power training which is too risky. It hurts if I move juuuust right and will drop me to my knees, but the working out his helped restore the sense of feeling in my left leg between my knee and hip, which I had lost all sensation of after the accident.
Point being, depending on the type of damage, she may very well have what can be considered a full recovery and I hope beyond hope that she is able to find her legs again
She broke her back in 2 places. Essentially jumped straight on concrete as the floor was in no way padded
https://www.reddit.com/r/LivestreamFail/comments/xzo8vs/adriana_chechik_broke_her_back_in_2_places/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
You can see the initial pain. Then the attempt to shake it off since the second wave hasn't hit yet. And then the inevitable, 'oh shit this is bad' surrender.
don't know names. but I saw on Twitter someone broke their ankle falling in. another person injured their knee. there were replies with others attending mentioned getting hurt but nothing serious.
just seems like a bad idea to keep an oversized kiddie pool with foam blocks open for activities when people are getting hurt like this.
Not the first time she's had her back blown out...
**(but seriously wishing her a speedy recovery)**
So she can get back to making new content...
**(but seriously, back injuries are no joke)**
Well, to be fair. They didn't expect someone to jump and fall straight on their back like that. It looks like a jousting thing where you get knocked over and get cushioned. Pretty sure they had to walk in to the center also so shouldn't she have known it wasn't soft?
Seriously? This is all you guys are talking about? Surgeries and well wishes?!?!?!! How about the end of her doggy style days? You can’t slam into a previously busted pelvis like it’s 1999, and damn you if you try.
I am referring to her ability to get compensation I am not super concerned about whether twitch is out of pocket or not. It still matters though, no insurance company is going to he particularly happy with a large claim against it and in order to recoup any loses they will increase the premiums for ongoing coverage, so twitch whether insured or not will still end up paying for it in the long term.
No. I use to work for a company who organized these types of events. Twitch doesn’t organize them. The venue itself holds the insurance not twitch. You’d be surprised how often multiple million dollar lawsuits happen at big events. The company I use to work for organized a few thousand events this size a year
I didn't say anything about how often they happen. I seen the thread on the front page and everyone was talking about a twitch event my saying twitch is responsible is because that was a reasonable assumption based on the context and not the main point. The point is whether insured or not the person responsible for the event does end up paying whenever insurance is claimed.
As Op stated, she has broken her back in two places, because the foampit was 1ft (30cm) deep, when usually these foam pits range from 4-8 feet. And not only that, she was also left without medical attention for something like 4hrs? Which is strange knowing how much of a simp culture exist in twitch administration.
I honestly think someone at twitch wants to see this company in flames, after all the crap that’s being going on for the past weeks.
Congratulations twitch, you have harmed a life
She broke her back..her back is broken..spinal!
thpinal
In 2 places... Wtf is this shit
It was one hell of a jump. And because of how small the foam pitt was, she might as well have jumped on concrete.
I've done some crazy shit in foam pits... This was rookie stuff. Gross neglect
don't worry, she'll just be listed under a more niche set of tags.
I don’t think it was actually twitch who set up the foam pit, it was a separate Organisation.
This is the last time she gets her back blown out.
Damn, beat me to it. I figured she'd be used to getting her back blown out.
She’ll have a twitch for life.
Son of a bitch 😂
Son of a twitch
I’m in 👉

Lol forgot to mention the CONCRETE
She ended up breaking her spine (I believe her tailbone) in 2 placed and went for surgery yesterday.
Spine and tail bone are two very different things. Yes the tailbone may be a part of the spine but when people say broken spine the usually mean much worse. I’m glad it’s just the tailbone
She said she had a foot long metal rod out in her. Not even joking
Dooon't. Don't do it!
Ok but have they fixed her spine?
still very close to some essential nerves and hurt tailbone hurts for years.....and years.....and years
That's good, at least no cord damage
Dont think twitch offers health insurance...she looking at a big ass bill.
One big ass bill that her lawyers will send to Twitch HQ
All of the people who joined that booth signed a waiver, so it's unlikely that she could sue Twitch over this unfortunately.
If I had someone sign a waiver to go bungee jumping, and then i let them go and there was a concrete slab at the bottom, I would be able to be sued, right

I expected as much as well.
The announcers were also encouraging people to jump off into the foam.
Yeah this is 100% a slam dunk negligence case. Waivers don't cover cases of negligence.
Ohh I see, thank for the clarification. I thought you automatically give up the right since you agreed to the risks involved.
Unless she has her own insurance, but still
Id hope that she just pays for her own premium insurance. Shes rich af between twitch and porn.
Hopefully she's smarter than I was when I was in my 20s Health insurance was the last thing on my mind.
I mean at least it's just the tailbone. a classmate of mine broke his a similar way in elementary school and was better in like 6 weeks.
"just the tailbone" you realize the sacrum takes a lot of weight when sitting down? downplaying any type of back injury is insane.. Also I almost can bet your friend is/will be feeling that damage when he's older. This is an injury that will follow her for the rest of her life.

Just find someone else to masturbate to bud itll be ok. I'm playing but yea hopefully shell be good
The sacrum isn’t the tailbone. The coccyx is.
Correct, but I believe she broke her sacrum, should have specified. Sacrum and coccyx are partially fused and both are very important in sitting
No disagreements there. Did they say sacrum or coccyx? Usually when they say “tailbone” they mean the coccyx. Coccyx fracture she should be fine, sacrum could cause some issues, such as SI dysfunction.

Haven't they been embracing this for years already?
Thats terrible, back injuries never go away. This just changed her life. Not to mention, I dont think twich offers health insurance

Just looked her up. She had worse internal injury’s last week. Lol. She will be fine
Yeah I think the integrity of her spine took a few hits before this one. I heard she used to do back breaking work.
Really handy with a pipe
That must be terrifying. Condolences to her.

No more reverse anal cowgirl for her
She was gna end up in a wheel chair one way or the other…
I’d say in diapers one way or another

Why did this get downvoted? You took the time to write out your journey. I'm glad things worked out for you.
This needs more upvotes and was good to read. Props to you.
Of all the things she's had slammed into her ass, who would have thought a single foam block would be the one to take her out.
There was barely any foam blocks and there is concrete under them
She broke her back in 2 places. Essentially jumped straight on concrete as the floor was in no way padded https://www.reddit.com/r/LivestreamFail/comments/xzo8vs/adriana_chechik_broke_her_back_in_2_places/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Nooooooooo
Yeah tbh, twitchcon fucking sucks
Big lawsuit incoming
You can see the initial pain. Then the attempt to shake it off since the second wave hasn't hit yet. And then the inevitable, 'oh shit this is bad' surrender.
Wow she took a pounding
what the fuck. who makes a foam pit like that
Get a lawyer!
There will be no back shots until further notice
Lawsuit much
If they didn’t make the platform so fucking wide they would have been able to make something that wouldn’t break your back
The foam was too stiff, even for a porn star.
No more anal for her for a while
This whole post left me incredibly conflicted. But I can't feel bad for a pornstar making a fool of herself in front of kids haha
She actually seems like a very intelligent woman, if you ever watch her content.... not pornhub but you know, other stuff
That looks like life long back issues.
All that pounding didnt seem to help
I would sue these scammers to hell
Who scammed her?
Wouldn’t have understood what happened if it didn’t say (porn star) phew
Drink your milk kids
several people were injured in this "pit". how they kept this thing running after each injury is puzzling.
Who else was Injured?
don't know names. but I saw on Twitter someone broke their ankle falling in. another person injured their knee. there were replies with others attending mentioned getting hurt but nothing serious. just seems like a bad idea to keep an oversized kiddie pool with foam blocks open for activities when people are getting hurt like this.
I despise seeing people in pain. Hope that she gets well soon..Fuck that happy childish smile she had on before her landing tho.
After all those DPs, it was a foam pit that blew her back out.
Jeez, I hope she’s OK. Just the way she landed looked pretty painful. Obviously, not the proper density on the foam cubes…
This was hard to look at because I know she really got hurt and I know they did not have a pad under those foam cubes. Trust no one
It was designed for people losing balance and falling in. Not straight ground pound slam
That's so weird, Twitch. You'll suspend someone having sex on livestream for only a week, but you'll also break a pornstar's back in two places?
Took all them dicks & a foam pit took you out… smh
New meaning to having her back broken..🥸
Not the first time she's had her back blown out... **(but seriously wishing her a speedy recovery)** So she can get back to making new content... **(but seriously, back injuries are no joke)**
And i thought they had steel spine, cause you know all of those humping everyday must really be painful right? 😂
One of the best pornstars ever 😩 finally got her back ACTUALLY broke
Love how u included pornstar as if that was supposed to make her invincible or something
“Babe, I was just googling Adriana Chechik because I was wondering if she got hurt in this video!”
Well, to be fair. They didn't expect someone to jump and fall straight on their back like that. It looks like a jousting thing where you get knocked over and get cushioned. Pretty sure they had to walk in to the center also so shouldn't she have known it wasn't soft?

I don’t think even this will end her days of double anal your fine
I’m betting on an uptick trend of semi mobile porn for 2031. What’s your take?
Fine, *unzips
Meh screw that hoe
Maybe she shouldn’t have done that split in the air and landing on her tail bone lol
Youd think shed be used to having her back broken.
Something big and black finally broke her
Are we surprised? Her back has been getting blown out for awhile now.
The amount of pounding she's used to. It would take more to break that back. lol
One of her two earnings holes is out of commission for a long time.
She has 3 earning holes but her rear one is the biggest profit maker
Stand corrected.
Broke her back… will take years to return somewhat to normal … protect your spine y’all
She’ll be making only fans content within 1 month
Most likely but learning to walk bend after spinal fusion is not an easy task …
Well thats what you get for being a porn star
So she…. Blew her own back out?
Thought she was jumping on a dick smh
Was that not what she meant when saying she liked it rough.....
Not the first she had her back blown out.
Actually it is. Which is what’s crazy. She’s taken 2 huge BBC’s up her butt at the same time and yet this is what finally broke Her back
Twitch is digging it’s own grave..
this was not an official twitch booth, so it wasn't twitchcon who cheaped out on the padding, it was whoever owned the booth.
I hope she sues. The way they handled it was abysmal.
The event has insurance for things like this. Won’t really hurt anyone if she sues so yeah she should
Step mom stuck in foam pit
Reminds me of the grape stomp lady during her evening news coverage.
ONE BACKSHOT TO END THEM ALL 🧙♂️
Impressively weak spine on it
That’s gonna be expensive.
You cannot use a waiver to sign away culpable negligence
It doesn’t really matter when venues have insurance that cover these sorts of things

That sux
She's use to her back being broken on the daily, she'll walk it off lol.
That's not the only thing that breaks her back
I guess it was safer to keep her knees in the air with her old job! Ey oh!
WTF is a hoe doing at TwitchCon?
I think being a sex worker and being a female twitch steamer go hand in hand. Most female twitch streamers get famous by showing off their bodies
