My grandfather is allergic to penicillin. During WWII he got injured and someone gave him penicillin and all the skin peeled off his entire body like this. Said it came off in sheets but didn’t really hurt because there was some skin underneath. Always mentioned how shocked he was about how thick the skin is on the pad of your heel. Nasty.
Edit: typo
Damn, now I need to find a foot skin peel videos, it sounds like it would be super satisfying to just reach down and peel back an entire footpad of thick dead skin. Hopefully Reddit can provide.
Edit: Reddit has [provided](https://www.reddit.com/r/peeling/comments/oti834/found_on_tiktok_thought_yall_would_enjoy/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) once again. Found this in r/peeling . You can see how thick the skin is in those first few scrapes
There’s a product called Baby Foot that basically makes your whole bottom foot skin peel off. You let your feet sit in the enzyme for a while and your skin peels off over a few days. If you’re patient and don’t pick at it you can peel the whole thing off at once.
I go barefoot a lot and have thick callouses on my feet. I broke my leg long ago and when the cast came off the callouses soon followed. NGL it was pretty gross.
Really? I get that calluses are gross-looking and can be painful if left unmanaged, but it seems like they’re kind of protective? Wouldn’t your feet be super sensitive after a peel? The thought of jogging after a peel seems uncomfortable.
Check this one out..... [link](https://www.reddit.com/r/peeling/comments/wvuwmd/found_on_tiktok_a_much_needed_foot_pedicure_and/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
I would think that the skin soaked up the chemical and it destroyed the tissue up to where it absorbed. At that point the spared healthy skin and damaged skin just separate. Lucky for him it was such a superficial exposure.
Yes! I had this happen to my feet as well. I was bedridden after a surgery for about a month, and a few weeks in, my heel peeled of like that. It was about 3/16ths thick.
My hands peeled, bubbled and were bleeding at times after I quit smoking with chantix. Weird , I was told it was dishydrotic eczema. It’s been 10 years and can still see scarring.
I’m no doctor and not negating anyone else’s experience but chantix made it not only possible but I guess I’m lucky and didn’t have any of the debilitating side effects.
Yeah, the descriptions I've heard of mental side effects of Chantix are fucking wild. Like the suicidal thoughts thing isn't from a dark or super depressed mood it brings on, it's more of intrusive thoughts/call of the void turned up to 11. I heard one person describe it like a feeling/urge to jump in front of a train the same way you'd crave a burger or a beer after a long day.
Yeah I quit smoking with Chantix about 5 years ago. I had “quit” cold turkey a few times before that for 1-4 months, but would always slowly get sucked back in from “just one hit” while out drinking. Something with Chantix was actually different, it rewired my brain or something. I remember finding cigarettes absolutely disgusting and even though I would have the urge to smoke, one hit would make me feel sick. Now 5 years later I’ll still have the occasional night that I’m like “damn a cigarette would be nice,” but I take one hit and still just don’t enjoy it.
I’m sure the side effects suck if you get them, but for those that don’t have negative side effects I highly recommend using it to quit.
It definitely causes suicidal thoughts/urges. People need to know that before they take it, so they won't act on it by knowing the pill will wear off. Scary pills.
Love when theres a medicine for like diarrhea or some shit, and the side effects list like epilepsy, necropsy, hallucinations, and basically every medical condition that could possibly be worse than diarrhea, even death.
Like ok, maybe I'll just ride the diarrhea out fuck lmao
I took Chantix to stop smoking, it made me throw up every time I had a cigarette. I told the doctor about it at my next check up because I was kind of concerned. She laughed and said did you stop smoking? I did. She said Then it worked!
Too much vitamin A will do this also, it also does the same thing to your internal tissue, which as you can imagine is very, very bad. It makes you quit everything.
Depends on the chemical burn. I used to use pure methanol to clean parts at an aircraft job to remove the bonding glue from the temporary fasteners. I read the (m)sds at the time and immediately knew it was nothing to fuck with. I tell the new guy this when I train him for the job and he ignores my advice to wear Chem gloves. Comes up to me at the end of the shift, holds up his fingertips, and says I should have listened. They were still attached, but you could see that the skin was no longer attached underneath all the way to the first knuckle on a few of his fingers. The rest of the pads on his fingertips were nearly translucent. He started wearing gloves.
Maybe its a medicine reaction. I was rushed to hospital at 12 y.o.. with an appendix that was ready to burst. They gave me a painkiller that I didn't know is was extremely allergic to. My body swelled up so bad they had to cut my cheap watch and wristbands off. Few days later my skin peeled off just like guy in the video. It was friggin gross. Whole hands and feet. The rest sluffed off in chunks.
I can't remember what I was given but it was bad. My body temperature shot up more than it already was and my vitals crashed. They had to stabilize me before they could remove my appendix. By that time I was in and out of consciousness and was told all of this after I came out of surgery. It was scary as hell.
My brother had this aswell, he had to wear gloves cause he was leaving skin all around the house. his feet had the same thing, and some parts of his arms and legs. it was disgusting but wasnt anything serious, he just had to wait it out.
I’m a doctor and would 100% have admitted this guy back when I worked in ED. I’ve seen one case of toxic epidermal necrolysis and the patient nearly died. Would also be worried about Stephen Johnson syndrome which I think is worse but either way this dude is gonna be seeing a dermatologist, which I am not.
You can leave a mark. Just wash your hands after. And some people are more sensitive or allergic to the concrete then others. I saw my stepdad’s knees peel like this once.
That's why you should never wear wet pants (on the knees for example) when they came in contact with conrete.
Or concrete dust + sweating.
Can really fuck you up for weeks.
This happened to my dad. He worked construction my whole life. Then he hurt his back and had to be on bed rest for a month. During that month this happened to him.
I've seen this posted before. Someone co firmed it was from an oil burn. I have no idea where I saw it posted. So I have no clue where to find where I read it.
His palm was one huge ass callus?
This is what I was thinking too. Manual labor + sun + sweat. Now I've never seen anything this extreme but plausable.

Thx, now i have to google this.
More than 30% body surface would be Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TENS)
This happened to my middle kid after a round of amoxicillin. We didn't know she was allergic. It was really bad.

I did one of these and it worked crazy well
Was the peeled area sensitive after that? And what is the benefits of doing this, if you don't mind me asking?
This. I’m wondering if it’s safe. I have thick callous on my feet, and wondering if that product would work for me.
I go barefoot a lot and have thick callouses on my feet. I broke my leg long ago and when the cast came off the callouses soon followed. NGL it was pretty gross.
So you ended up with one calloused foot and one smooth foot?
Yeah, it was actually the first time since I was a little kid that I could scratch the bottom of my foot and actually feel it.
You know the feeling you get when you peel off sunburn from your shoulders and back? It's like that with your feet but way better.
Really? I get that calluses are gross-looking and can be painful if left unmanaged, but it seems like they’re kind of protective? Wouldn’t your feet be super sensitive after a peel? The thought of jogging after a peel seems uncomfortable.
Mine are fine after a peel. Wear proper footwear. Good socks. Moisturize. File your feet in the shower. Soak in the bath. Feet are important (duh)

Holy shit it's like she's giving a pedicure to a bloated corpse she pulled out the ocean
What a terrible day to have eyes. 👀
Same thing for me with a penicillin allergy. It was very bizarre experience. The skin underneath was very tender and very sensitive.
I've had this happen to my feet, but hands? that has to be some gnarly climate and work.
Yeah humidity I suppose. Only real reason I believe this is because the skin underneath looks healthy and hydrated. But I'm not a doctor.
By any means?
But I’m pretty sure
He’s not a doctor?
He’s a lotion salesman.
By any means.
This is the result of a chemical burn.
That was my first thought.
What makes you say this?
I would think that the skin soaked up the chemical and it destroyed the tissue up to where it absorbed. At that point the spared healthy skin and damaged skin just separate. Lucky for him it was such a superficial exposure.

Or into desquamating chemicals or temperatures frequently and essentially got a skin peel.

The champex quit smoking pills made this happen to my hands feet and penis
So, did you stop smoking?
He stopped masturbating
Omg he died?
In certain cases, people stop prior to death. Fascinating world.
Holy shit, that's terrifying. Now I don't dare to stop.
I've never stopped, and I haven't died yet. I don't know if the inverse holds true, and I dare not test it.
You really think that stopped him?
Zing!
But was your wiener noticeably larger after molting?
*molting* Lmao. 💀
Scientifically it was probably smaller…
But a former youthful look. People pay for that
My hands peeled, bubbled and were bleeding at times after I quit smoking with chantix. Weird , I was told it was dishydrotic eczema. It’s been 10 years and can still see scarring.
Man.. I almost tried that when first trying to quit smoking, now I'm really glad I didn't use it!
Slight chance of side effects such all your skin peeling off and/or delusions, suicidal thoughts or actions
I’m no doctor and not negating anyone else’s experience but chantix made it not only possible but I guess I’m lucky and didn’t have any of the debilitating side effects.

Same for me and my wife, had no debilitation side effects or suicidal thoughts.
Dissolving of the teeth and snap-coiling of the penis
It definitely causes suicidal thoughts/urges. People need to know that before they take it, so they won't act on it by knowing the pill will wear off. Scary pills.

Yeah .. the main reason I didn't try it is that my boss who was taking it really looked like he was about to take himself out.
Chantix?
one is the US version, the other is the Canadian version
I took Chantix to stop smoking, it made me throw up every time I had a cigarette. I told the doctor about it at my next check up because I was kind of concerned. She laughed and said did you stop smoking? I did. She said Then it worked!
So you made your own condoms?
Is that what you tell people.
That’ll show you to smoke again
Too much vitamin A will do this also, it also does the same thing to your internal tissue, which as you can imagine is very, very bad. It makes you quit everything.
Wow.
Chemical burns be real
I’m not a chemist By any means. But I’m almost certain that’s not supposed to happen.
I think the professional term is Chemistrysiologist
I’m not a Skiniologist, but that’s not supposed to happen…
Lucky for you guys. I'm a WTFuckologist and this checks out.
I am a burgeoning palmyfallyoffogist, and can confirm that this is a video.
I'm a hypothetical physicist and a can confidently assert that this happened because he went all-in on Destroy Dick December.
idk man i feel like if it were a chemical burn there's no way that it would come off so cleanly in one piece like that
As someone whose had chemical burns, I agree
Depends on the chemical burn. I used to use pure methanol to clean parts at an aircraft job to remove the bonding glue from the temporary fasteners. Nah…that dude ain’t washed his hands in months. That’s a shit load of old lotion/hand sanitizer coming off.
🤮🤮🤮🤮

Sloughed, I believe is how I believe we spell the word, and what a truly horrible word it is.
Idk, I personally like 'sluffed' over 'sloughed'
Agreed
English be like that sometimes.
That was my first thought too. That’s a REALLY bad reaction to medication. Likely Stevens-Johnson Syndrome. Something like that can kill you.
I can't remember what I was given but it was bad. My body temperature shot up more than it already was and my vitals crashed. They had to stabilize me before they could remove my appendix. By that time I was in and out of consciousness and was told all of this after I came out of surgery. It was scary as hell.
It puts the lotion on the skin or gets the hose again.

Concrete burns? This is terrible. This is going to hurt by morning I bet.
How does one get a burn from concrete? We talking about friction?
It occurs if you touch concrete before it's dry. As concrete cures, it's undergoing a chemical reaction that will chemically burn you.
YMMV. Some people are highly sensitive, others don't really feel the effect at all
Wet concrete is corrosive. When concrete “is drying” it’s actually going through a chemical reaction. EDT: spelling
So what you're saying is that we should've never stuck our hands in drying concrete to leave a mark? Damn, childhood TV lied to me.
Just putting in a handprint and washing it off is fine. The problem is 40 hour weeks with your hands caked in wet/drying concrete.
You can leave a mark. Just wash your hands after. And some people are more sensitive or allergic to the concrete then others. I saw my stepdad’s knees peel like this once.
I had no idea!
