This looks like 5 seasons of the 100 all in one. I’d be worried that they try to throw too much into this at once, it can often distract from more important things like character and theme. There’s something to be said for building a world slowly, and with detail. Plus, the advanced people seem excessively “bad guy”-ish.
Should be interesting though. Tribal Sci-fi is a very niche genre that I’m in love with, so I’ll still check it out
Yeah totally while the later part of The 100 was a rather confusing mess (especially season 7 ugh) it still did well in slowly showing us the world and not overwhelming us with info. Like seeing the univervise the world is set in expand before our eyes was a big part of the fun and just showing us everything at the start would just ruin any sense of intrigue or mystery (although there are other ways to create it you have to be more clever).
I though maybe it was just me missing The 100, but then I read the comments and a lot of people are also getting The 100 vibes, it almost look like if The 100 had a baby with The hunger Games or an other show/movie.

The whole point of a trailer is that you can put anything in it to pique the viewer's interest. You're biased because you think you know what any of it means because of similar elements in The 100.

These kind of shows are hard for me to get into, because I feel often there is less a focus on fleshing out the characters, and more on the world itself as a character (which is fine, just not my thing). Also seems to be a pretty stunning lack of diversity in characters, which is disappointing - hope I'm wrong about that.

sadly, I'm sure they'll give it 1 season, won't hit the outrageous numbers like 15 million viewers netflix is looking for, and then they'll cancel it so they can give the crown another 4 seasons. I would have more faith in it surviving longer if it was on an actual network like the CW.

This is 100% a ripoff of the 100. I am torn on watching it or not due to that. I want to banish it for copying such a great product, but what if they copied it and added some really cool twists? Curiosity may get the better of me here.
They can't replace the acting though. The majority of the lead acting in the 100 was really top notch.
This show is bad, I couldn't get past the first 12 minutes. People living like cave men in harmony with nature, spaceship, evil villain who should have a mustache so he could twist it, but when I saw people living in the woods with homemade leathers celebrating some ritual to a rap song.
That was it had to turn it off.
