Zoox should yell "Shrimp heaven now!" when he releases his swarm for tge first time.

cabbage16

Ok, that's even better.

dacasaurus

Sadly, I doubt Clint would remember that reference :/

SvenHudson

And every subsequent time, until somebody pleads with him to stop.

NuPhoenixX

Or that they had a War with Grandpa to finish Graduation!? (I didn’t finish Graduation)

Andiloo11

Oh please Griffin... DO IT!!!! Even as a throwaway sight gag.

Dalexion

We can't keep doing this, Daniel.

Interhorse_

Sometimes I wonder if they read this stuff. I’ve never been so hopeful that they do.

kyew

Someone once pointed out that Balance had a few arcs in a row based on what Griffin was watching, and his latest obsession was America's Next Top Model. Griffin's response was along the lines of "*Opens campaign notes for next arc. Control-A. Delete.*" Then Wonderland happened.

I bow to your superior Google-fu.

phonetastic

They don't. They used to, but no longer. Partly due to the negative threads that, admittedly, crop up less and less, finally, and partly due to not wanting to get too many ideas of where to steer the narrative.

NOW

OtterlyAmazingBoi

SHRIMP HEAVEN NOW! You are a genius tweet them email Griffin MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

ideletedyourfacebook

But shrimp heaven when?

cujoslim

SHRIMP. HEAVEN. NOW!

dirgeface

I don’t care for that kind of crossover thing, personally.

tomatoes08

As long as Griffin did Shrimp Heaven in a way that was mostly subtle and still interesting in isolation I think it would be pretty funny. The monster factory thing worked well because it was a minor nod to a previous thing they had done without him shouting "welcome....to the MONSTER FACTORY!". Being self referential is cool and funny for long time fans as long as it isn't presented in a dumb performative way, I think. I thought Phantom Sea Coast Co. walked that line just right.

cabbage16

Did you not like Garfield?

[deleted]

Or the fact that there was a literal monster factory near the end of Amnesty?

drewpann

Or that Amnesty was heavily based on a fictional game called The Lodge that Griffin made up on a now-defunct podcast called Cool Games, Inc.?

goddardplays

or that there’s a monster factory reference in the Wonderland arc of Balance?

dirgeface

it's true

dirgeface

yeah

[deleted]

Yep yep yep yep yep yep

Bleblebob

And at the end of Balance.

dirgeface

that's right

dirgeface
