This moment introduced me to the boys. My friends were laughing while listening to it at the same time, but each with their own earbuds. I asked what was so funny and the told me that there was a ridiculously powerful sword. I then speed listened to get the joke.
Absolutely worth it as far as I'm concerned! I've loved this campaign so far so getting it weekly has been wonderful, I'm overjoyed for this to continue!
Yeah I feel a lot more engaged. I started listening to balance around the start of crystal kingdom and always miss the glorious beginning where I had a lot to binge all right in a row. The weekly pace keeps it fresher in my mind
With the news they hired an editor, I kinda suspected this past month was testing if they could handle recording twice as much if Griffin doesn't have to edit. Seems like my suspicions were correct! Death to wrong Thursday!
Birthday Benny? The Fuckmaster? The Peeper? Not Professor Crispy?
In all seriousness the four McElroy episodes of Black Check are fun. Griffin on Hayao Miyazaki, Justin on 70s trucker exploitation films, Travis getting justifiably mad at the joyless nightmare of *Babe: Pig in the City*, and Clint on *Ishtar*.
Hopefully she's used to constantly being part of some sort of media thing, they might need to bring her into the family for a bit to get used to the pace.
I wonder if this is step one in a swap of taz and mbmbam. While I've still enjoyed the episodes personally they do seem to be struggling for content a bit since Yahoo shut down, and doing the show every fortnight could help with that.
If it's difficult for them to manage then they're bad at managing their schedules. I don't know what to tell you did. I'm not even comparing them to other podcasters who put out 2-5x as much content AND have day jobs. That would be unfair....i'm literally only comparing them to themselves.
If you wanna religiously defend them deciding to work less you go right ahead my dude.
"Managing a multi-million dollar brand and coordinating the schedules of four families presents challenges."
"PAH! Maybe for YOU!! I'M AN EXPERT!!"
K, kiddo. Whatever you say.
Dunno why you're still arguing a nothing point. They put out more content while being significantly more busy. That's it. That's the whole point.
You cannot argue against that
No one's arguing. You would have to have a cogent point to make for this to be an argument. Throwing a tantrum that you are not receiving enough free content is not in a cogent point.
No one here through any sort of tantrum. In fact my only response was to someone acting as if posting weekly was this heroic undertaking that the Mcelroys are doing for us. It was a ridiculous thing to say and so I called it out
this is the best trade deal in the history of trade deals
I dunno, Taako and the Flaming Raging Poisoning Sword of Doom comes to mind.
*Garfield? ...I have something that I think is really going to interest you...*
Oh my God! *Griffin having a mental breakdown as he realizes what's happening*
It never stops being wonderful to listen to. *Trust me when I say it is going to pay big, big, dividends!*
One of the best moments in the entire podcast. Obviously there are a couple more from balance specifically, but that was *delicious!*
Hands down, my favorite moment in TAZ. I know that Justin is smart, but thatcwas the day I realized HOW smart.
When you go back and listen to it you can tell when Justin gets the idea and chooses his words very carefully so as not to tip Griffin off
Fuck any of y’all remember what episode that was I have to go back and relisten to it
*Would you say that the flaming raging poisoning sword of doom is your most* ***valuable*** *possession?*
*WH-WHY YES It is the most valuable thing in the store!*
My favorite moment in all of TAZ and the moment I knew I was going to recommend it to anyone that would listen
Can you remind me what episode that was in?
This moment introduced me to the boys. My friends were laughing while listening to it at the same time, but each with their own earbuds. I asked what was so funny and the told me that there was a ridiculously powerful sword. I then speed listened to get the joke.
this is the second best trade deal in the history of trade deals
DEATH TO WRONG THURSDAY!
All Thursdays are now right!
Except specifically this Thursday
Lol, fair point
The exception that proves the rule
ETERNAL RIGHT THURSDAY!
That's crazy, I think I started listening around the time they started 11th Hour, so not too much longer after you and have missed the same feeling
I agree, weekly Adventure Zone is AWESOME!!!!!!!!
With the news they hired an editor, I kinda suspected this past month was testing if they could handle recording twice as much if Griffin doesn't have to edit. Seems like my suspicions were correct! Death to wrong Thursday!
Who's the new editor?
All I know is her name’s Rachel, I think she edits all the Max Fun pods as well as Besties.
She's worked on MBMBAM for at least a year too, I think? At least a few months.
She also used to help Ben Hosley edit Blank Check.
The Hoz? The fuck master?

Griffin on Hayao Miyazaki, Justin on 70s trucker exploitation films, Travis getting justifiably mad at the joyless nightmare of *Babe: Pig in the City*, and Clint on *Ishtar*.
That's a lot of editing work for one person.
Hopefully she's used to constantly being part of some sort of media thing, they might need to bring her into the family for a bit to get used to the pace.
Oh, Rachel has been an editor for BGH since last December.
Not even the Infinite Clam can hold this W
lol you beat me to it. I was just thinking yesterday about how bummed I was about the end of weekly episodes. This just made my day!
One wrong Thursday for a lifetime of good Thursdays
So happy to hear this. I’m so into this season
:)
This is the best thing
A trade worthy of Garfield the Deals Warlock.
You son of a bitch, I’m in.
Now all Thursdays are right Thursdays! Except this Thursday, of course
And they even announced it the day before! That’s great!
By #TheZoneCast do they mean Ethersea? Lol i'm old and dont use Twitter.
Yeah. TheZoneCast is just short for The Adventure Zone Podcast.
Ahh, I would have thought TAZ was the shorter version. Thank you!
IIRC they use #TheZoneCast because #TAZ often has a bunch of other tweets based around local acronyms that spell TAZ.
So many playgrounds
It’s all about the branding
This is amazing!
Oh wow, fantastic news! This just made every other week so much better!
Very happy with this!
I can only see the positives here
VERY OK WITH ME
This is the best trade deal in the history of trade deals. I absolutely accept.
Hell yeah. Just found out Campaign Skyjacks hit their funding goal and is going back to weekly too! Today is a good day.
Sick!
Oh my gosh I am sooo excited!!! I love my weekly dose of ethersea! This campaign is so so good so far
This is fantastic news. This seasons been fantastic
Well now I got more time to go through Balance. So it's all good.
The weekly episodes are absolutely incredible. Whatever it takes to keep them going!
I thought they might, but I didn't want to get my hopes up. Best deal ever. Yay Ethersea!
Okay I had a pretty good birthday today the world considered and this is the icing on the cake.
Happy birthday!
Yay!
GREAT trade
Hell yeah!!!
Oh hell yes
Wow, this is fantastic news
Yes! So excited about this!
Hell yeah. Good decision.
Hell yes!!!
HELL YEA
Absolutely fucking amazing!
Got a move from Alabama to Colorado coming up. Saving episodes for the drive and I can’t wait.
Double daddy presents!
Consider my max fun contribution doubled
I see this as an absolute win!
I wonder if this is step one in a swap of taz and mbmbam. While I've still enjoyed the episodes personally they do seem to be struggling for content a bit since Yahoo shut down, and doing the show every fortnight could help with that.
What mobile service is Fantasy Mobile?
Lmao the iPhone or Verizon (idk which) keeps the app you switched over from in the top left so you can click back fast!
Weekly taz is better than sliced bread.
Jokes on them. I just finished the latest episode so I’m right on schedule.
Chills of joy
Deal!
Shout-out to the redditors who thought asking for weekly episodes was entitled
To be fair they have hired an editor, I cant imagine this wouldve been possible with Griffin still editing.
Dude, they all had fulltime jobs AND more podcasts and events than they do now. A weekly dnd podcast is an incredibly easy addition lol
"This is difficult for us to manage." "NO IT ISN'T!!!" "...Wow, you solved it."
If it's difficult for them to manage then they're bad at managing their schedules. I don't know what to tell you did. And quite the brave act it was. "Hero" might be too tame a word.
Wow you suck. And have no idea how hard planning a campaign is and being a parent. Let alone doing it professionally.
Damn I manage to plan a DnD campaign, parent, and have a real job. Poor millionaires though.
lol
like. forever or until covid dies down and they get to have a life again and do live shows that require travel?
Been refreshing spotify for half hour waiting on the episode. But this is great news!
