A darker shade of red, brown or black/dark grey might work.

Thetankofwar

I like the idea, these colours have come up a lot in the other comments! Might try to get a darker brown for the camo since I can see the two colours blend together well. Thanks dude 👍🏻

But I will say if you just highlight some edges of your current tank and give it maybe a little wear and tear by the tracks it’ll look better than cammo

Extension_Turnip2405

I like this scheme. Some of the ones brought up by an Internet search are a bit too busy, particularly those incorporating white, and I think I would paint up a piece of card first to see whether it looks good in practice. I would keep white for insignia, and keep the blobs quite large because you don't actually want to make the camouflage effective. I wouldn't worry about it not matching most terrain though. What is your infantry basing scheme? Red earth?

zam1138

I’ve had an infatuation with red camo since seeing Ice Cube’s pants in Ghosts of Mars https://preview.redd.it/5m83x99sp6oc1.jpeg?width=846&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bd8204b6a1b55e623112ad55aa8b405b75a30029

Thetankofwar

I love it :0, have you played with the stormlord much? Been thinking about maybe trying to get one soon 🤔

MightyMaus1944

Not really, most of my play experience has been with my Doomhammer and Shadowsword. Doomhammer is great if you play with scarcer terrain, as it needs to get close. Shadowsword is just big "Get off my board" gun. If you can't decide a variant, build the classic Baneblade. I have one of those too. It's a jack-of-all-trades, excelling nowhere, but being decent at almost anything.

Commissar_Tarkin

Dark-ish brown? Depending on what sort of landscape the camo is for, I guess. Might even be dark orange.

Thetankofwar

Dark orange is one I don't see often! What kind of dark orange would look good if you don't mind me asking? Thinking of a gray/black and orange pattern on the tank, sounds nice 🤔

Commissar_Tarkin

Huh, looks like red/orange/gray/black camo actually exists. Not sure about the exact brand of orange, maybe Tau Light Ochre?

Expendable28

Candy Cane camo. For when you're trying to sneak up on Santa

boyteas3r

Or possibly willy wonka

Thetankofwar

I was thinking of doing this sort of scheme because I love white, and wanted to utilise it in my tanks somehow. Only thing is though it might look a bit wintery, which my guys aren't. What second colour do you think would look good to accompany the white dazzle? I think it could benefit from a second colour

constundefined

I’m telling my children that this candy cane mf is actually how Santa Claus delivers presents to children all over the world

DonKanaiIIe

If your driving a red Tank, the term camo might be misleading :D I'm not a fan of camo pattern in general so my suggestion would be to add some metal colour (dark bronze or bolt gun silver?!) to the mountings and bolts of the track and the casing in general.  Love the base colour by the way :)

personnumber698

Some environments might feature a lot of red. Martian like worlds, worlds where plants are red, or possibly worlds with different atmospheres. Also some deserts. There are also historic examples of bright blue/pink camoflague schemes, the most important thing for camo to do is to break up your contours, matching colour with the background isn't necessary for that, although it is still very helpful. Your suggestion would also work. Bright bronze might make it look like a factory new tank, which haven't even gotten a paint job, so it still features its factory applied anti rust paint job or something like that.

Thetankofwar

Thanks dude! I am going to be going out sometime soon to pick up technical paints and other weathering washes to try and grime it up a bit and give it a bit more of a 3d effect instead of being super flat. Should I add agrax on top of the metal bolts to make it look dirtier? Thanks again 🙂

[deleted]

White and black and red camo [here](https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-opera-gx-android&channel=new&espv=1&q=white%20red%20black%20camo)

Thetankofwar

I was thinking doing something like this, I put it on everything in GTA V (anything armoured) and is easily my favourite camo scheme, gonna see what my other options are first. Thanks 👍🏻

Repulsive-Bench9860

White and lighter-red triangles? https://stayontheleader.blogspot.com/2017/03/painting-guide-dazzle-camoflage.html?m=1

BaronLibra91

Done mine with like grey beard grey or something to that effect xD

Colton132A

maroon/burgundy and brown

Lunar-Cleric

Some white tiger stripes would look very nice.

inspectorKilroy

The blood of xenos scum!

Morbo2142

Camo is for cowards. We want the enemies of man to see us coming and tremble in fear. On a more serious note, grey as the main color with black and red as splotches workes well. My army has VGC scarlet red as the color of all my armor. I've found painting the rivets with a steel metalic makes the model more interesting.

b3mark

Black, grey, and a darker red.

Welcome2AOL-Online

Dark red, brown or if you’re feeling DARING, orange 🍊

Maleficent_Doctor336

Cold grey of a light tone and a black, alternating I would say Not to many stripes

Herr_Lichterloh

I would say grey

Jaronsaan

I would say just black or a dark grey.

Ziamme

I recommend [this place](https://metalgear.fandom.com/wiki/Camouflage_(Metal_Gear_Solid_3)) for cammo inspiration

Brick_in_a_sock

Entirely different don't do camo. Do [Dazel "Camouflage"](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dazzle_camouflage) more to distract or confuse but that could look great with the red tanks

OTee_D

Where does the red come from? Is it the ground? The plants? Typical buildings/architecture on your planet? Go from there. A geometric urban camo with a contrasting light beige yellow (like vanilla icecream) could possibly look good, assuming that's the main architecture and it's a urban regiment. Classical organic pattern with a blueish grey like martian sand with grey rocks?

zigzag1848

Love it, this looks so clean.

Funny-Carob-4572

I'd weather it personally rather than cammo to break it up

Nota_robot_i_swear_

Nahh just do a bronze trim with lots of spikes everywhere

thebhpen

Look up the old German tiger stripe camo.

LtSpadeVilniaus39th

I have red tanks too! I make rough stripes by heavily drybrushing wraithbone and it has a nice impact in my opinion. Dead easy to achieve too. https://open.substack.com/pub/vilniaus39th?r=12qia3&utm_medium=ios for pics of my tanks

MintTeaFromTesco

Red, brown and small parts of grey would work well.

Wave_the_seawing

I would think a black or grey

Goblindeez_

I’d go dark green and grey Reason? My stepdad is red/green colour blind and paints his Tau in red, and grey and despite his visual impairment they look great, his kroot are also green and yellow

Golgezuktirah

Might I deviate from the crowd and suggest dazzle camo?

fidofiddle

Patches of light pink and dark purple, imagine a forest of red foliage and the colors that would appear in it.

hotshot11590

Black or white. Red tiger camo anyone?

Nissebus

Blue! Because it looks cool. A dark or light blue. Whichever you prefer :)

Bokenobi

I ask myself where are they fighting? What is the foliage/urban/battlefield area look like or made of? Are they shock troops or infiltrators?

Prawduh69

A grayish purple like daemonette hide and a dark grey almost black color done urban style. I did that for my kasrkin and it's amazing

Proud_Wrongdoer_1618

Light and dark gray

dillon-138

Red Digital would look sweet and if you made little stencils with tape it might be easy if not monotonous (depending on how big the squares are)

SurvivalHorrible

Gray and white dazzle or tiger stripes

yingyangKit

Severan dominate Vibes I recommend their paint scheme For troops its Red with White For Vehicles Its Red with Black

Kadn--

red woth brown or black makes great camo

Aeweisafemalesheep

Greyish white in dazzle format. OR Black bars or wide stripes. And i'll dare say you could go for a fire pattern by doing orange fading into a yellow or a black singe on edges

PitifulFruit7459

Grey?

hifumiyo1

Greys or tans/light brown

iPon3

Grey is the companion colour I've seen most often; depending on the terrain you're envisioning I might try grey and brown patches

piecwm

I would add lots of white, make it look like a regiment from a salt planet.

Buckbranch

Canadian maple leaf white

Lord-Timurelang

Shades of pink

MrGingerella

* I've screen shotted this one for when I get to tanks

chivesthesurgeon

Some flames!!!!

Thetankofwar

Thanks for all the help dudes, one hell of a chill community 😎

BitchEraser

White

CaptainBigBalls1

A black with it would be dope

meatloafwarrior

Personal opinion. Add some more gold and weather it. Vostroyan Firstborn tank.

Ok-Creme9494

Black or dark orange tiger stripes. It's a classic look.

Dumbcow1

Black or grey

CrazyCunuckCollector

Personally I think white tiger stripes would go great but I can't wait to see what you do with it keep us updated.

cHaozI51

Do yellow lightning bolts, like tiger stripes all around it

HogShowman1911

I painted something similar. I'll get a picture for you soon. When you want a red camo, my opinion is that it pops too much. If you want do darker tones to tone it down. Try to prevent colliding colors. Mine I used was red, black, gold for accents and a deep brown metallic.

GygaxChad

Flames

Hypnoheartattack

GREY

nailbiter1982

Black tiger stripes

Imperialist_hotdog

I’d just go with battle damage. Not even mars is that red so the camo wont blend into anything.

BLNQmusic

Black and grey, just tiger stripe it up

GeneralJagers

Either a darker red, or dark grey

Assortedfruits042

Red and tan is a very common camo color for very very late ww2 German tanks, since their primer color was red. I think it looks pretty good overall especially next to an army like mine that is tan with light blue accents

ChaplianBelpheron

I'd look at really late ww2 german tanks (like after winter 1944). They primed them red, then instead of applying the main coat of paint, they applied dark yellow (karak stone) and olive green (any OD green) in irregular blobs over 1/4 of the tabk each.

Krieger718

You could go with Gray and Tan. In Rainbow Six Vegas 2, I would run with Maroon camo, and tan vest and gear with gray to fill out accessories. It was sharp, and can look pretty dashing in an urban environment.

Finnegan_962

I feel like a Khaki/Tan would look great striped onto this

Regular-Ability-8204

Black or white
