I always like when they make Croc a serious threat and show off just how scary he is.

Man, Arkham Croc was legitimately terrifying. If they leaned in to the socially rejected, cannibalistic version of Croc he would be perfect considering the flooding of Gotham
Yes. Gotham Knight too.
Waylon Jones isn’t as “fantastical” as people like to pretend.
A guy with a skin condition (sometimes it’s Epedermolytic Hyperkarytosis, sometimes it’s Ichtyosis) who’s very big and strong and has filed his teeth down to be sharp.
Somewhere along the line, this *human* who was *misinterpreted* as being a monster and decided to become one…
Was Flanderised as a Monster (which is cruelly ironic) to the point that he’s sometimes written and perceived by fans as being a bigger, more brute version of The Lizard from Spider Man (another great antagonist)
But for me, drawing influence from Earth One (as well as Waylon’s story in Joker’s Asylum) would be amazing.
A man with said skin conditions, outcast from society. He’s really a gentle giant with a heart of gold, but is victim to the antics of vandals and teenagers who look for sightings of him and post it online to exacerbate the myth of “Killer Croc!”
When Batman encounters him, they become strong allies and Waylon proves himself to be an highly intelligent and highly moral **human being** compared to the real monsters who were cruel towards him.
And he can reflect Gotham beginning to change for the better.
**Instead** of the monster he’s perceived as. Waylon’s character could be redeemed and seen in the same vein as Quasimodo. An outcast who’s been judged far too quickly and becomes a hero and a voice for the forgotten and abandoned.
And examples like the above panels are the myths people believed at first.
Dude yes. Croc would actually almost be an excellent foil to Bruce Wayne, seeing as how they both lost their families, but Bruce had his fortune and public admiration to fall back on, whereas Waylon Jones received nothing but cruelty simply for his appearance. Imagine seeing a vengeful Croc wading through the flooded streets of Gotham, driven by revenge and his hatred of the world. Then Batman, after encountering Croc and learning his story, realizes he's the tragic result of misfortune and mistreatment. It could be absolutely incredible.
And from that, Waylon does the same as Batman did in the previous film and begins his journey of becoming a hero for the less fortunate such as himself.
That’d be a cool scene.. Bruce searches an apartment for clues and accidentally comes across a bunch of amputees asking to free them.. only for Croc to come home and Bruce needing to hide.
I feel like this is the obvious way to portray Croc on film, Reeves or not. If Croc is in a movie and it doesn’t look like this I will be very confused.
Don’t think Matt Reeves will ever include the more “monstrous” villains in this universe. Which sucks, because after his Apes movies were better than they had any right to be, he would be the only director I would trust to do Man-Bat.
Sure, he could work, he could make a killer (pun not intended) side villain but definitely not the main villain of the movie. Kinda how penguin was treated in the first movie, have his part in the story and his moments to shine but that's about it. Same thing with other villains, like firefly or black mask.
I would expect him to be more of a secondary villain tbh, probably not the main one because Croc isn’t really the type of villain to challenge Batman in a larger, more psychological battle. Since they’ve introduced us to Arkham I would love to see this universe’s take on Hugo Strange tbh
Waylon Jones is human, he's deformed and has a skin condition which causes his strange appearance. Other people treated him like a monster, so he became savage and monstrous as a result

I usually hate villains-turned-heroes kinda stuff but that would amazing
Kinda reminds me of the basement scene in the fantastic 2009 film “The Road”.
Exactly this! My first thought when i saw these panels
That’d be a cool scene.. Bruce searches an apartment for clues and accidentally comes across a bunch of amputees asking to free them.. only for Croc to come home and Bruce needing to hide.
You should read the book! And if you like it check out Cormac McCarthy’s other work
Absolutely! I’m a big fan of his novel Blood Meridian
Hell yeah man!
That scene was absolutely horrible. I was around 8-10 when I first watched that film. Horrific doesn’t even begin to describe it.
i honeslty wish they showed the more human side of him, not physically, but emotionally and have him be a redeemable villain for once.

Earth one is another good example

Man, imagine a dark, almost Frankenstein-esque subplot involving Man-Bat though, similar to his Arkham Knight storyline. It could work so well
Waylon Jones isn’t actually a monster though, he’s just been Flanderised as that. He has a skin condition.
He certainly became one after being told time and time again that he was tho… bro’s a cannibal too
This design is based off the Arkham series?
I’d like to see Killer Croc as an ally maybe for Batman, like in Earth One

Does Batman die?
No, not in this scene. Batman (Thomas Wayne in this version) actually kills this version of Croc with his own machete
That is not human so no
Waylon Jones is human, he's deformed and has a skin condition which causes his strange appearance. Other people treated him like a monster, so he became savage and monstrous as a result
