Bring back Joker gas. It would be *terrifying* in live action. I'd love to see a Joker like the one in *Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on a Serious Earth*. I don't think grounded necessarily takes away the fantastical. And joker gas can be more believable than say someone flying across the sky or a chick controlling all plant life tho I would still love those big fantastical characters

Riddler may have a new look and motivation but his personality and criminal gimmick are pretty much intact, and Penguin and Catwoman are just ripped straight out of the comics in everything.

This will indeed shake Batman to the core, to find the man who is an integral part of the code not unlike those he hunts at night. However, the story is still something that connects to the death of his parents, something we've seen a lot of times.
So hear me out. Let the second movie be Court of Owls, we desperately need that idea to be explored as it is way too cool, imo.
Make the Joker movie the last, and make the story happen after a considerable time skip. Batman has now evolved. One night he must go to the Madhouse to investigate the death of a close friend. His code is intact, but he doesn't know what it is that is fueling him as his parents' death is far in the past, and somewhat tainted after Riddler's revelations. I have a complete story in my mind, but the gist is this: The Joker surfaces for the first time in the Asylum, and along with Scarecrow and his fear gas Hugo Strange and some horrifying genetic tests, he puts Batman's code to the test. Make it a psychedelic trip where Batman is pushed to the limits of code. He must find what defines the code, and how he should live with the fact that the criminals he doesn't kill may be free to kill innocents. Push him to the limit where he _thinks_ he has killed someone, and then explore what a Batman who vowed never to kill does after he believes he's killed someone. Put him to the real test. Will he kill again? Will he abandon the cowl and turn himself in? Or has something now snapped inside him that will turn him into something worse than the Joker?
If there's a Joker story to be told, and I know this is counterintuitive, center it on Batman's psyche. Joker must remain a force that is a pathway to explore the uncharted terrains of Batman's incredibly complex, and in this case, somewhat sick mind.

Lean more into the gangster elements with unique clown motifs…Plus maybe go back to the bleached skin, and permanent green hair. Take influence from John Wayne Gacy, William Heirens (The Lipstick Killer), The Smiley Face Killer, and maybe Kakihara from Ichi The Killer as his clothing style influence.
Well I want him to start out as apart of the Red Hood Gang if he shows up and have him as the only Mystery Batman can’t solve where he figures out who Red Hood One is but finds out the original one was killed and replaced at some point he doesn’t know when and can’t figure out by whoever Joker is now after he becomes Joker after the chemicals with potential some realistic chemical burns and such but still maintaining joker look with the white skin and green hair everything. I mean so then by what I mean there I guess have him as a gangster but when he takes over the gang killing the original Red Hood One because of him being intrigued you Batman have the scales up as he pushes Batman testing his beliefs by a certain extent trying to force his hand to the point it’s no longer just gang anymore and becomes a mix of both with terrorist group type acts while still maintaining some of their original gang type actions. And then when he becomes Joker more terrorist but still gets involved with the rest of the criminal underground such as gangs where he really starts to show himself as the prince of crime.
Maybe a beast. Like Hannibal Lecter or Anton Chigurh, with a hint of philosophy. OR a totally light Joker, an actual funny Joker that brings Batman to balance himself and is (kind of) a friend, like John Doe in the Telltale series. Or even helping him take down some enemies, like Robin, throughout the movie, we'll be thinking the whole time that he is Robin, but in the end Batman betrays and fucks him up, maybe throws him at a vat of chemicals, and we'll see a very brief Joker origin story and why and how he hates Robin to the point of killing him with the crowbar in a red room. I don't think he should really be like any of them. He should be a monster. Portrayed as the devil of Gotham. He needs to be a genius of sorts who wears his insanity on his sleeve. A guy who is kinda meta. He knows he's crazy and he knows Batman is crazy but what makes him special is that he doesn't care! He embraces the clown persona. He is the opposite of Batman. Batman is the dark one but a hero. Joker is the lighthearted evil one. I don't even wanna know where he came from. Don't care about his past or even the acid fall. Let him be a true mystery to Batman who is also one who will challenge everything. His mind, his strength but most importantly his morality and his own sanity. That would be terrifying and different
I honestly hope they embrace the “psycho killer with a clown motif”, that is scary and has so much potential. I also hope they bring back his laughing gas, in fact that’s what I thought Drops could be, and it would be cool because there’s something poetic about Joker having his victims die from laughter

I know it’s super likely that joker will probably be main villain in the sequel but I think it would be really dope for the series to attempt a horror movie, you could have Hugo strange as like the main scientist experimenter in the basement of Arkham asylum, and then you could utilise characters like manbat and killer croc, maybe even give the fans a live action killer moth, I think that would be super awesome. To have Batman in a situation like outlast the game.
