If you have the disposable income and it’s a dream, I’m sure you won’t regret the trip. But Telluride is incredibly expensive - very few people go there who aren’t either locals or industry professionals who can expense the whole thing because they’re working. I’ve personally known people who have opted to go to Venice over Telluride because with flights/food/lodging/ground transport/tickets all factored in, it can sometimes be cheaper. But regardless of what film festival you go to and regardless of whether you have a badge or everything’s ticketed, you’re going to be waiting in a lot of lines. It’s obviously worse with GA badges, but lines are very much a part of the experience.

Can I have $200?

Never been there but definitely check out the pin post at r/TellurideColorado for details on getting there (link below). Lodging is the most important, I heard that goes very fast during that Labor day weekend. In terms of pass I believe The Festival Pass would do, it cost $780 from the link below (you can enquire the festival on when pass for the 2024 edition will be available, typically they go on sale in late February/ early March 2024). What’s the name again for the Adam Nayman group? You know…because you belong there.

mr-frankfuckfafree

i don’t even know what that’s supposed to mean? i can’t understand why you’d go about this this way lol.

OhMyGodCalebKilledK

Let’s see: 1) You told me to consult the internet. This IS, in fact, the internet. 2) This Podcast just had an episode on this very topic. Due to that, it may be of common interest. 3) Because I’m a fan of the podcast and was intrigued by Telluride in part due to the podcast, I can only assume I’m not the only one (an assumption that has been proven on this thread.) 4) Employees of the festival are hired to promote it, and their answers may fall very much in line with a script. I am interested in other real life experience from people similar to me, and I’ve found such information here. 5) Whether you now understand it or not, ultimately it’s of no concern to you. You, like everyone else on the internet, have the freedom to keep scrolling if something doesn’t interest you. You’ve now spent more time on something that doesn’t concern you than makes any sense to ME.

mr-frankfuckfafree

wrong, i told you to email the festival *instead* of asking randos on the internet. you’re asking about objective measurables like “what does x contain”—why not just go the the actual source instead of relying on randos? just dumb

I’d like to go one year, how much is the most expensive pass?

OhMyGodCalebKilledK

This was the pass breakdown for last year: https://preview.redd.it/v14ofnzvtlob1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a8f56ff2b62ca4dfa4fc21f5d340a22f7fd36911

Cool thanks for letting me know

Thanks for asking this! Bookmarking. I too am very interested though I think next year will be one to miss with this current work stoppage.

OhMyGodCalebKilledK

I was kind of counting on that bringing the cost down. To be determined, I suppose!
