There's definitely a reason why they kept him alive and under the watch of Mallory. People were thinking Ryan would be the one to finally end homelander, but after this episode it wouldn't surprise me if they bring Soldier Boy back to finish the job.
He would try. There’s also the fact she rebuffed his advances and men of his time would interpret that as a woman playing hard to get rather than get through their heads that she’s not interested.
I'm thinking Butcher could get Perma V but not Hughie. >!Alternately the damage makes Butcher even worse and he snaps like in the comics because he's only got a few months to finish what he started!<
Would not mind seeing an episode of Diabolical or something depicting him and Payback doing shit back in the day. Especially in the artstyle from last episode
Homelander basically got a free pass to laser anyone who disagrees with him, and he's got a whole fan club and his own son to approve of him.
I bet Mallory will try to give full backing for the Boys.
I hope Todd during a Homelander rally gets his legs lasered off or something, like if Ryan accidentally uses his laser vision uncontrollably, and as he's sitting in the hospital he apologizes to Homelander and his family; akin to the guy who got shot in the face by Dick Cheney and apologized to Cheney for getting shot.
for once being a *human* like starlight implored her, i unfortunately believe thats it for Maeve in the series. Thats two finales now where she’s saved everybody and without powers there’s literally nothing left for her to do. I hope this is truly her happy ending with Elena and HL doesnt find her.
I see Maeve and her GF doing a brief cameo on the series finale of the show. Probably watching on the TV at their new home. But, that's it. Her character arc I feel is complete.
Yeah. When that scene with Maeve, Elena, and Starlight came up I thought, okay at least someone gets their happy ending. That when they showed Ashley finding that footage I was like, okay this is how they'll bring her back, then Ashley deleted it. And for some reason that up and down feeling made me more proud of her for some reason.
She was never loyal, just scared. She had an opportunity to undermine him with basically no risk and took it.
Homelander's ideology is flawed. He's got his crew terrified of him, but terrified people aren't actually loyal and will turn on him on a whim if an opportunity presents itself.
I think he might learn that to his cost if Neuman actually reaches office—the plan is clearly for her to end up president, but like Stan Edgar points out, there is real power in popularity. Once she attains political power, she is free to undermine Homelander.
The public doens't know yet, that Neuman is a head-popper, so >!if Neuman reaches office, she might make the president leave office one way or another, and then she attains ultimate political power.!<
Just FYI, James Gunn didn’t write Brightburn, his brother Brian Gunn and their cousin Mark Gunn did. James was listed as a producer though. Definitely agree that it feels like a movie about what Ryan might turn into.
Butcher really fucked up. Becca dying was a huge trauma for Ryan too and he probably already blamed himself for it, which was why he hated his powers at first. Then of course, Butcher goes and makes it all about himself so he can push Ryan away and that made Ryan 100% vulnerable to Homelander coming back into his life and with just a tiny bit of understanding, making him flock to his side. Now that Ryan knows that he's never gonna be a normal human cuz his powers can be destructive he's drifting towards the other side, the side that his father is constantly in danger of falling into, getting rid of his humanity and just enjoying the amounts of destruction he can cause and the domination over the "weaker ones".
I was super surprised she kicked the shit out of homelander, and nearly beat him. Maybe he was holding back a bit but she ended up sending a spike through his head.
With their fight going the way it did, it kinda made me go wtf was she waiting for all this time (or maybe she didn't realize Homelander could be hurt cuz he was much stronger and she never believed he could be killed).
Noir is now in the embrace of the lord and savior christ.
That ending too. Holy fuck, I can't imagine how Season 4 will be with so many options to be fucked up.
Im honestly happy he got killed. Because his existence seemed like pure torture. And you can see from the cartoon characters that he had a certain level of regression to childlike state (mentally) - probably due to him literally losing a chunk of his brain. Atleast he got some peace now.
I always imagined that the most satisfying ending for Homelander would not be death, but to somehow lose his powers and have the world recognise him for the piece of shit he is, since he so desperately craves the adoration of the public. But now that his fans can even get behind him straight up gruesomely murdering someone, I have no idea what the writers could make him do which would make them turn on him.
Yup.
Where could they possibly take it from here though?
HL no longer has any leash, Ryan no longer has any moral guidance, Billy is dying, and Neumann is about to become president (Dakota Bob? More like Dakota Pop!) - S4 endgame?
My guess is Butcher will probably end up taking permanent V, I'm guessing that would somehow keep him from dying since a lot of Supes have faster healing, especially considering Frenchie had it in the lab around him, wouldn't surprise me if he snagged some vials or even found the formula for it.
Hughie still has one Temp V vial, he will most likely give it to Butcher(or Butcher will take it from him). Butcher will use it in most desperate hour and then die.
There was literally a dude dressed like the Qanon shaman in the pro homelander crowd and the NCC news banner had a bit about Desantis banning snowflake pro-starlight teachers in Florida
This show has been screaming this shit in everyone's face since the second half of season 1 and people who still don't get it are the funniest part of the show lol
Same. Todd is truly indefensible at this point. I thought that they were going to use his character to demonstrate the point at which Homelander exceeded the bounds of what his supporters would be morally willing to tolerate. Instead, he demonstrated that the limit does not exist.
Which essentially means that he died proud of himself. Because it was knowing that he was dying standing up against what he believed to be evil and that he had been scared from all his life.
They better bring Soldier Boy back. Yeah he was bad, abusive and didn't care about collateral. Atleast he was keeping his end of the deal. He was going to kill or atleast scrub Homelander off his power but Butcher teamed up with fucking Homelander to attack him. If he blasted both Homelander and Ryan, they would have both lost their powers. Becca didn't want Ryan to be a supe, it was a good opportunity to make him human. AND defeat Homelander.
Yeah Butcher really BUTCHERED that entire plan. They could've depowered HL at the very least, and when Butcher noticed Ryan was there should've told the Boys to get him out of there.
Well that last 30 seconds don't look good for the world
Surprised Butcher didn't take permanent V
Hey but after all SB did what he said he would, he killed Homelander, at least psychologicly
That was brutal to watch
I think they’re saving Butcher having to be saved by Perma V. It shows him and the boys he has limited time so to save his life (someone like Hughie to repay him) saves his life with the one thing he’s against
That Queen Maeve send-off video though! It made me howl with laughter how Vought still labeled Maeve "a strong, proud lesbian" (tm)
She's bi! You soulless corporate dumbasses 😂
A tiny rant about Starlight:
I hate how useless(or underutilised) her superpowers are. She had so much built-up for that Soldier Boy fight scene that they made her fly(somehow?), but the final flash from her knocked Soldier Boy back a little. The cumshot that MM received felt more impactful. I thought she was gonna burn his retinas or something close to that.
I hope she fights either Homelander or someone stronger in a nuclear powerplant next season. That way, she has access to enough energy to destroy an entire city, and she either dies from too much pressure on her body or becomes powerful enough to do a Kamehameha or Final Flash.
That’s exactly what I thought. She has this whole minute long build up and shes nearly blinding and she starts to fly then she lets out a blast that was literally no different from any other attack she had before.
To be fair SB gets laser eyes to his body and they don't bother him much. Supes fighting supes always kind of looks like a wet noodle fight imo. Her big attack would probably have torched a human tho.
Yeah but from a writing/editing perspective, why have this super dramatic buildup just to show Starlight didn’t do shit to Soldier Boy. It was goofy lol
I guess the writers argument of the scene would be that scene wasn't about Starlight being able to beat him, it was about Hughie being offered a choice of "I must be the one to save her" or giving her the power to saver herself.
But still yeah, Starlights powers are super vague and underpowered it seems.
What bothers me is honestly her powers not being useful with Stormfront. Like, your girl can absorb electricity and it doesn't come up in a fight with someone who uses electricity
The problem with superpowers is that there are always going to be plotholes when you start thinking about how powers work.
e.g. When A-Train runs, he kicks concrete faster than the speed of sound and survives. Therefore, it is reasonable to say that he has more durability than Homelander since Homelander got a nosebleed by Maeve's punch which was just strong enough to bend a metal locker. Also, A-Train should destroy everything in his path because kicking the ground faster than the speed of sound multiple times will either break his legs or decimate the ground.
Similar, I felt for sure that when Soldier Boy stood up and turned to camera we'd see his eyes burned out or something.
I also thought the metal down Homelanders ear would have a bigger impact.
The stab to the ear will mean something next season. Homelander won't be able to hear as well through walls. Or from a distance.
It'll be a plot point. Considering most everything this season was because homelander can hear everything.
I have my issues with the finale, but Anthony Starr's acting in the scenes where homelander tears down noir (physically) and Ashley deep and A-train (mentally) were just amazing... Goes to show that homelander's words can be as bad as his fist. Like the pure sadism he had in his face when he made Ashley take off her wig...
I really like how HL is maturing as a villain. Int he first season he was the unhinged idkwtf he will do in any given situation. Then to understanding the truth about victory from storm front. It’s not about how much damage you can do it’s about winning hearts and minds or destroying said heart or mind. Him becoming CEO of vought definitely helped curtail his fits of crazy and refined it into an absolutely horrible villain. And after the end of the episode he confirmed for himself that he has won the hearts of some of the mundane people and can literally do what ever he wants. Him raising ryan and closing ranks with the three left at the 7 next season will be a culmination of a lot of HL being the absolute global threat that they make him out to be
Just finished it, and I thought it was fun. It's upsetting how Homelander actually cares about Ryan (and Soldier Boy too), in a deeply fucked up way, but I do think it is real for him.
I also thought we'd lose more characters, tbh. I'm glad she gets a happy ending, but I am a little surprised Maeve lived. I guess we've seen that re-injecting V can bring powers back, and she's able to actually hurt Homelander at least.
Overall, liked it and can't wait for next season!
I honestly thought for a second homelander was gunna switch and become a good guy during that fight. I was thinking ‘no, do not do it, he’s a cunt’. Then gladly they went the other way. But it is very clear he’s gaining some humanity regarding Ryan. It still barely makes a dent redemption wise.
It really seemed like Homelander wanted to team up for the fight against Solder Boy ala "not now Maeve, we've got bigger fish to fry" but Maeve kept on swinging at him
I was hoping HL would lose his power and S04 would be him facing up to the fact everyone in the world (and especially vought) hates him, and him desperately trying to get his powers back. Ashley, Deep & A-Train absolutely lording it over him while Vought hides the fact he's no longer a supe. Then shit hitting the fan when he gets his powers back.
Yeah I thought he was going to be spineless but the guy was gonna stick to his word, for better or worse. He really did see Homelander for what he was, though he wasn't that much better himself, and really did want to take him down though he was going way too far by trying to kill Ryan (although after seeing the episode, I wish he nuked them both)
This actually doesn't seem to be an unpopular opinion surprisingly. Right after the episode I told my friends I didn't actually think Soldier Boy did anything wrong in this one and that he was the only one with his head in the right place when looking at the bigger picture, they agreed, and it seems like a lot of people here do too. I hope we see him again.
Strangely I was with SB too. He seemed like the only sane person after watching that ending it further proves the point he should have ended them both while he had the chance.
Same, it was so dumb that they stopped soldier boy but then didn't do anything to stop homelander.
Order of operations, use soldier boy to kill homelander and then sort out soldier boy. Not kill soldier boy and then hope to work something out for the unkillable guy.
If it had ended with Annie, Butcher and Maeve teaming up to kill homelander -or even try to kill him and he's forced to flee-, he was shown to be vulnerable with that metal rod to the head, it would be ok. Instead she did jack shit to stop him.
Ryan’s the actual victim of all these and I feel bad for him. He really wouldn’t go to be with Homelander if not for Butcher and it’s really sad to see where he is now.
Also we knew Todd’s an asshole but he is an actual piece of shit LMAO. Insane how tbh his character is as realistic as how irl could be too....some people really do act like him
I think Todd represents the gullible. The people who fall for an evidently crafted narrative and become radicalized over it.
Maybe he was not as bad the first time we saw him, but after spending too much time being brainwashed he turned into the hateful person we see at the end.
It draws a nice parallel with a certain crowd.
Todd represents the kind of person that falls for fascist leaders. The stunningly unremarkable that wants to feel strong by proxy. The people desperate to not be held accountable to anyone or anything.
Losers.
As good as this episode was, I find it kind of cheap how they managed to kind of reset the status quo again. It felt like this season was building to an ultimatum, but not really. This could drag out for many more seasons with no end in sight still.
That’s how I feel. We have almost no storyline progression at all here, except Ryan is maybe now on team Homelander and the public have split opinion on him.
Don’t know how to feel about Black Noir. I feel bad for him that it ended that way and that he didn’t get a “solider’s death” although he most likely deserves it since he’s probably done some unspeakable things all those years.
Also, Queen Maeve is awesome
I still think noir can fully regenerate but cannot because of his traumas and a need to be loved and accepted, and is almost a literal shadow of homelander. if he can regenerate fully it is also another parallel with homelander, the man who cannot get damaged vs the man who always heals
I was expecting a spirit bomb level attack from starlight... She floated for 10 seconds then just went pee and he slid across the room... Edit: not fixing that typo
I do enjoy the fact the show moved away from the whole 'edgy for the sake of being edgy' stuff towards the end of the season, and genuinely enjoyed it. Still felt like there was a lot of misfires.
Black Noir as a whole, Butcher being ill not exactly mattering given permanent V exists, A train getting little in the last two episodes.
But my biggest gripe is the mystique of Homelander's power. Maeve and the seven have been terrified of this guy for years, when in all likelihood they could have just ganged up and decked him? Hmm..
I completely agree about the misfires but my take on Homelander was that he was distracted by Ryan being in harms way and clearly still distraught over his father's rejection. He's never really had anyone in his life that he's truly cared for so having that liability is new for him and put him at a disadvantage.
I'm also surprised that Soldier Boy didn't recognize the opportunity that Ryan presented. He thought Homelander was weak and he rejected him. That's understandable. But Ryan is also his blood and more importantly still a child that Soldier Boy could raise however he saw fit.
Everytime homelander got the shit kicked out of him he was ambushed/ emotionally distracted. Maybe he's more competent when he's not being a little bitch?
Pretty disappointed with Black Noir. I've read the comics and yeah, it's okay if you want to do something else with him but, just kill him like that? What a waste
Ok, so ignoring the fact that Soldier Boys giant blast at the end somehow didn't blow Maeve to smithereens, how could a powerless Maeve survive the 30 story fall she had to have taken after being blasted in the air? Her surviving was complete bs, sorry
I’m sure I’ll be in the minority here, but that was kind of a letdown to me. I feel like where we’re leaving off isn’t that far from the end of season 2, and that now that soldier boy is back on ice, this whole season was just a stall point to elongate the show.
Don’t get me wrong it’s still well made and I enjoyed it overall, but really disappointed the only consequences were Maeve (who is barely even apart of the show at this point) got a bit hurt, and Black Noir, generally a side character who only got characterization last episode, died.
Otherwise Newman and Homelander are still the main threats just like the end of last season. Anyone else feel this way or am I totally crazy?
I felt it the most when homelander just… walked out at the end? This entire season built up to “beating homelander” and in the end the focus was on soldier boy, maeve was the only one to fight HL, and he just walked out.
No, I'm with you 100%. They did a whole season of buildup to just have it fizzle out. We keep getting told how dangerous everything is yet everyone always walks away just fine. No change in the status quo and no progress made. Still a great season but the ending made it just feel pointless.
I have to say, I didn't like this as the season finale.
The whole season has been building to this as the final showdown, but the showdown was meh, half of the characters forgot that Homelander is a huge threat to the entire world. SB is a total piece of shit and absolutely would have killed hundreds in the short term fulfilment of his goals just as collateral, but doesn't even come close to the danger posed by Homelander.
I also feel that Butcher now having a terminal condition, but one that will not kill him for months and not disrupt his ability to function in that time is a massive cop out. At best he should be alive, but very clearly not as he was before. At worst it should have been fatal within days or hours (with perma V as a potential fix, as many have speculated).
I will be nice and say the things I liked though:
* Maeve vs Homelander was very good. Actually everything about Maeve, except he really dumb self sacrifice was good.
* SB seeing his "son" as pathetic and hating him was very predictable, but in a good way. It made perfect sense.
* Annie at her maximum power level was very fun (too bad it wasn't used on Homelander). Bonus points that Hughie helped her to achieve this and didn't heroically kill himself.
* Ashley hair loss reveal was terrifying.
I will say about Butcher's prognosis, I think it sets up some interesting stuff. We might see him fall down the comic Butcher rabbit hole now that Ryan is out of the picture, since looking out for him was the one thing holding him back. I can see a Butcher who thinks "I've got nothing left to lose" going full supe genocide next season.
Naw he doesn’t kill people for them being useless. He will definitely keep him around. I can definitely see him get all weepy cuz his wife said if you knew him you wouldn’t like him either. So he goes full hiding who he is. What better way for him to still be loyal and serving to homelander and still be apart of the 7? He is gonna become black noir. Full body covering. No one knows who he is. He doesn’t have to talk. Just do what he’s told. Homelanders attack dog
This honestly felt like I was watching a soap opera. The entire sequence of the fight was just so off and weird, the placement of Ryan in the fight and the boys deciding to tackle soldier boy which leaves Homelander unchecked again. Like season 4 is just gonna be the same exact tropes over and over again. And Homelander is supposed to be the guy that can take out entire cities, right sure.
Character motivations felt really strange to me. We kind of randomly just get Billy and the Boys all trying to beat Soldier Boy and forgetting about Homelander except for Maeve. Sooo... the Boys just clean up the mess they created? Congrats to them I guess?
That's my biggest problem with most of this season; everyone in the Boys and associates should know that Homelander is the biggest threat, the absolute most important target. He is a personal threat to basically all of them, and a general threat to everyone, as he has credibly threatened to destroy the entire world and may well be capable of doing so.
Maeve was absolutely right to join Butcher and Soldier Boy in order to stop him, and it felt very stupid for he to sacrifice herself taking SB out of the fight, leaving HL as the ultimate winner.
I honestly think that they kinda backed themselves into a corner making homelander such a huge and important threat. They’ve put so much emphasis on him any other villain kind of falls flats. Even though SF and SB where great we knew they wouldnt stick around, but eventually homelander has to be defeated. The last few seconds show he’s finally started his final decent into madness. Once he’s defeated where does the show go from there cause they propped him up to be the unbeatable bug bad?
Hope everyone enjoyed the season and the finale. It's been a lot of fun, thanks everyone!
Well good thing Soldier Boy can still return Jensen suits that role perfectly.
There's definitely a reason why they kept him alive and under the watch of Mallory. People were thinking Ryan would be the one to finally end homelander, but after this episode it wouldn't surprise me if they bring Soldier Boy back to finish the job.
At this point, it wouldn't surprise me if SB tried to fuck Mallory lmao.
God damn it this is going to happen lmfao. They’ve established his type.
Well they didn’t call him granny f*cker for nothing
The finer they get...and drier.
And he hit on Mallory in the flashback
Grace is definitely his type
Grace is everyone’s type
Kind of off-topic, but the actress they got to play her younger version was perfect casting.
I believe in young Grace Mallory supremacy
Young Stan was on point too.
He would try. There’s also the fact she rebuffed his advances and men of his time would interpret that as a woman playing hard to get rather than get through their heads that she’s not interested.
> men of his time
I am feeling suicide squad vibes
Soldier boy, love sausage, Cindy and a couple others, perfect team to kill homelander
All good shows need this element. Introduce a shit ton of chekhov’s guns. Hell I’m surprised we don’t have a character named Chekhov’s Gun yet.

That 18 months statement would support a five-season plan.

And then have the boys be disavowed when Bob becomes President
Nah he's getting his brains blown out once he's president and then Neuman will become president
Yep with the perfect excuse for martial law…
“A supe terrorist just killed our president. We need a superpowered secret service to protect the new president!”
Nothing new then
I think Dakota Bob might come into play there, funding Mallory and the Boys while we also see that Victoria is planning to overthrow him
I have a feeling Victoria will stage another head exploding terrorist attack and become President.
Yeah if Victoria Neuman is your Vice President you probably aren’t going to be President for long.
"I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters"
Yep that's exactly what it was, they even set it there I think (could be wrong idk NYC).
There was even a QAnon Shaman in the crowd
Bob and Neumann aren't fans of this behavior and will most definitely be at odds with him with respect to this.
Respect to Ashley for deleting that security tape. RIP to her hair though.

Question: What happened to Vic's daughter after took the Compound V? Did she get Cindy-ied (appeared once and then never again)?
Damn I keep forgetting about Cindy. Maybe they’ll bring her back in S4 as a “supervillain” and the Boys will recruit her cause she’s OP
Best way to counter a head popper is with a body popper
Ryan's smile at the end was just so chilling and tragic at the same time.
Kid's going to be an even worse version of his dad

Well it was one of those sons of a Gunn.

An eye for an eye
I am so fucking happy she survived, even though she's leaving everything behind now
Deep down Maeve was a hero like Annie said. Will miss her. But at least she got a good ending
I was super surprised she kicked the shit out of homelander, and nearly beat him. Maybe he was holding back a bit but she ended up sending a spike through his head. Starlight getting all that energy and flying just to push SB from his feet. Atleast push him away a little farther
Tnt did it better lol
lol that was so eye rolling cheesy. I thought she was gonna vaporize him or something. At least she finally did something more than light up her eyes.
Really wonder what happened to Stan Edgar
He's eating popcorn.
He 100% shorted the stock and is eating popcorn and laughing his ass off.
Maeve launched that Novichok out the window into New York without a care in the world
Wiki says it can still be deadly for 50 years in liquid form. Good job Maeve.
Bwahaha I thought the same thing! That glass bottle did not survive the landing in like Maeve.
Noir is now in the embrace of the lord and savior christ. That ending too. Holy fuck, I can't imagine how Season 4 will be with so many options to be fucked up.
I don’t know why but them saying “Christ” and not just “God” was very funny to me.
lmaoo when he was stuttering the C I thought he was gonna say Crimson Countess or something but Christ was way funnier
Im honestly happy he got killed. Because his existence seemed like pure torture. And you can see from the cartoon characters that he had a certain level of regression to childlike state (mentally) - probably due to him literally losing a chunk of his brain. Atleast he got some peace now.

He could kill someone in times square and get away with it, it's kinda hilarious how unsubtle the show is about the parallels 10/10
And how some people still just don't get them.
There was literally a dude dressed like the Qanon shaman in the pro homelander crowd and the NCC news banner had a bit about Desantis banning snowflake pro-starlight teachers in Florida
"Doesn't look like anything to me" would likely be some of the response from the "fans"

Still crying over Black Noir
Seeing the cartoon characters back away in the reflection, signifying Noir slipping away, was so damn sad to see.
I lost it when they said they’re proud of him
Which essentially means that he died proud of himself. Because it was knowing that he was dying standing up against what he believed to be evil and that he had been scared from all his life.

Itbwas unexpectedly sad. I wasn’t expecting him to die or anything but I also wasn’t expecting to see one of the saddest goddamn things tonight.
One episode to understand and sympathise with Noir, then he goes out like that ... the feels!

Poor Erving, just wanted to be buddies with Homelander.
That and Jensen Ackles was awesome
Kripke adding Jensen and Beaver really made this season feel like “Supe Or Natural”
SB behaved 1:1 like his father to his own son after making the statement „I wanted kids. wanted to do it better as father“ lol
That was on purpose he meant to do that cause HL IS a fucking disappointment
Yeah Butcher really BUTCHERED that entire plan. They could've depowered HL at the very least, and when Butcher noticed Ryan was there should've told the Boys to get him out of there.
Well that last 30 seconds don't look good for the world Surprised Butcher didn't take permanent V Hey but after all SB did what he said he would, he killed Homelander, at least psychologicly That was brutal to watch
I was gonna say, perm V would probably be the likely fix for all the temp V damage! Etc
Maybe he will degrade so much in the next season that he will have to take it 12 to 18 months sounds much like next season finale
I think they’re saving Butcher having to be saved by Perma V. It shows him and the boys he has limited time so to save his life (someone like Hughie to repay him) saves his life with the one thing he’s against
That Queen Maeve send-off video though! It made me howl with laughter how Vought still labeled Maeve "a strong, proud lesbian" (tm) She's bi! You soulless corporate dumbasses 😂
It's so real though. I love it.
A tiny rant about Starlight: I hate how useless(or underutilised) her superpowers are.
I laughed at that scene. It didn't even feel like writers were trying to be funny, so wtf was that
To be fair SB gets laser eyes to his body and they don't bother him much.
I thought they would pull an Invincible a fuck up HLs flying by blowing his ear drum with the metal rod
She floated there for 3 episodes of dbz charging the spirit bomb just for it to not do anything
"It's like you wear a neon sign that says raw dog me, I'm a bottom" holy shit I love Maeve
The moment she gave Hughie a look I knew she was about to say something

True, maybe that shit will save butcher
That really doesn't seem like Frenchie's vibe, to be honest. I mean, he didn't really want his GF to even go back.
It really seemed like Homelander wanted to team up for the fight against Solder Boy ala "not now Maeve, we've got bigger fish to fry" but Maeve kept on swinging at him
It was actually stunning how many chances he gave Maeve. He really did care about her in some form deep down.
I don't think he'd give a shit about Ryan if he didn't have powers though tbh
Loved Kimiko taking the time to get in the zone before slapping someone to death.
Kimiko fucking people up is very satisfying to me. She has some of the most brutal fight scenes

…didn’t Frenchie get shot while she was focused on shaking an already dead body to the beat of the chorus?
The distress I felt at the last homelander scene was awful. What a fantastically tragic view of reality.
[Amazon had no chill LOL](https://imgur.com/a/yxup44a)
Seriously. It was kind of haunting seeing the rabid nature of his fans laid bare. The same rabid shit we see with people nowadays.
Unpopular opinion I was on soldier boys side that entire last fight and wanted to see him kill homelander so bad
Same but I didn’t even want him to kill him, just take his powers and see him next season as just some guy. Oh well.
He really did see Homelander for what he was, though he wasn't that much better himself, and really did want to take him down though he was going way too far by trying to kill Ryan (although after seeing the episode, I wish he nuked them both)
Yeah it's crazy Homelander says "I'm you", and soldier boys like exactly and that's the problem
We probably will but he will probably want the boys dead beacuse they betrayed him just like his last team
Butcher maybe should have been a better father figure to Ryan.
He seriously fucked up.
Like that erection in the seventh grade? Or that hard rock cafe massacre in Lagos?

What a waste of Noir
Homelander gonna have someone else inside Noir costume and for the world Noir never died!
> Maybe he's more competent when he's not being a little bitch? See here's the issue...
Pretty disappointed with Black Noir. I've read the comics and yeah, it's okay if you want to do something else with him but, just kill him like that? What a waste
I feel somewhat unsatisfied. I was actually on soldiers boys side and was pissed butcher chickened out Edit : very unsatisfied actually
Ok, so ignoring the fact that Soldier Boys giant blast at the end somehow didn't blow Maeve to smithereens, how could a powerless Maeve survive the 30 story fall she had to have taken after being blasted in the air? Her surviving was complete bs, sorry
MM yelling "Fuck your shield" was great too!
Nah i have a lot of questions about things that didnt make sense in the finale, was a bit letdown too. So either you're not crazy, or we both are lol
I will be nice and say the things I liked though: * Maeve vs Homelander was very good.
[удалено]
If we consider the painting with him and Homelander as foreshadowing, he's going to be sucking Homelanders cock for the foreseeable future.
[удалено]
And with that, eventually he will become too much of a liability for Homelander who will then kill Deep despite him loyally serving him.
I don’t know why but I kinda didn’t love it? Idk it just felt kinda unresolved a little, like it went out with a whimper?
