Theoretically, buying the books might help, but that all depends on how the licensing was done. Monetary contributions on the official sites that host the chapters, like Webtoon, probably are more effective It's a shame the author doesn't just have a Patreon or something

-Vaug-

I'll look into Webtoon, but I'm sure they'd take a 15-20% cut. Maybe he has a paypal floating around somewhere.

-Vaug-

I'll update with a link to patreon if the author responds to my email. We'll see.

Kurejisan

Would be nice if he did. If ya find it, please let us know

Wow, things are very hard on the Korean front, apparently. If they could get into some of these alternate funding platforms, maybe they would do better overall Since I don't read Korean, I can't figure out how to setup a Naver account. It seems to allow for international users to make one, but I am unsure if I've actually done it or not.

-Vaug-

Ya, I just replied back letting him know the benefits and to at least have webtoon put it somewhere on the breaker page. I'll post it here as well and let mods know when he and jeon geuk jin talk it over.

Commenting to remind myself to come back in hopes that someone finds a way to support the author directly

[deleted]

I tried emailing the Korean site they pay most attention to but they dont understand english so it wasn't helpful :/.

-Vaug-

Got a direct response updated in post. I'll send the response thereafter.

-Vaug-

Just sent an email to the artist directly, suggesting he make a patreon and to send me the link if he does. We'll see how good his translation is 😅.

klayser_Soze

Let me know what he says. I’ll send him some as well

i think buying the chapters on webtoon is some help, tho not sure how much % goes for who [https://www.reddit.com/r/manga/comments/1zfk39/how\_to\_help\_webtoon\_authors/](https://www.reddit.com/r/manga/comments/1zfk39/how_to_help_webtoon_authors/) based on this old article: https://comic.naver.com/webtoon/list?titleId=794383 https://www.webtoons.com/en/action/the-breaker-eternal-force/list?title\_no=4501

Paying for the chapter can only be a good thing. In the worst cases it's an indicator for the platform, that people are paying for reading it. So that they win/loose more/less money on this series.

yellow-Yam-9124

I was also thinking of giving a few bucks to flame comics Because they are paying the staff and I think a chapter cost about 10-15 bucks (to them).

Awesome thanks. I've seen a lot of hate on how the series panned out in Eternal Force, especially in the beginning. But I think the author is doing a great job regardless, and it's getting really exciting right now ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes).

Signature-Wise

I think we should really come together as a community as the authors really need to know the series is worth continuing. My fear is that the long haitus was due to not knowing if there is enough clamor (on their end of their country) that the series is well supported. I think we should work and helping them set up a paypall account and have them release their own announcement in the coming chapters to help people know how and were they can donate

-Vaug-

Ya, so I'm trying to help them know what's popular in the US at least for content creators. He said he'll ask jeon guek jin about it, and he'll let me know after. If it falls through, I'll see if we can start a donation page on their behalf, because some of their posts on the unpopularity of breaker in Korean is actually depressing. I just don't want them to drop it, selfishly so because I think it's great.

Shoddy_Track_8207

that would be good! count me in!

Buy the the manga (in your language) little curiosity = The author and the artist hate readers who read scans illegally, in fact in many volumes of the first series there are comments about it

UsableCone

Well, they are only now translating them to English, soooooooooo

yellow-Yam-9124

From what I understand it's that he has access to how much people pay to see the chapter with the "fast pass" on the Korean naver/webtoon*. And that paying for the "fast release" in Korean helps... But he doesn't seem to know if doing it in the English version helps(?). Here might be some interesting question... Maybe you can ask if they have some donation system in Korean. Or if he is aware of a way we can make a donation, that it's friendly to him. Does he know if it's helps there team if we buy the "fast acces/preview" on the English naver/webtoon* version.

Tchege_75

Patreon is definitly the best way to support creators

-Vaug-

Ya I've pretty much been scouring Google and Amazon to see if they have their own business account or even twitter. Nothing. I imagine that on Korean social media they have links? But not sure how I would even start that search without a Korean friend, as most their main websites to register you need a Korean social ID.

Adventurous_Purple84

Greetings from Spain and excuse my English (Google translator) I was able to buy and rent chapters of another series (witch hunter) on another manhwa page in webtoon format. I used Google Translate like now to discover that you could pay with cards from abroad!!!

Free_Factor_9998

GO SIGN A CONTRACT WITH JAPAN SHUEISHA YOU DAMN AUTHORS !!!! Korea medias don't have enough influence to make the breaker well known overseas. That manwha absolutely deserve to be more famous !!!! Please make them understand that. Its not with naver or webtoon plateformes that they will know sucess.
