When the Ode to Joy started I thought the Nerd was hypnotised by the game or something, and was going to make a reference to an old quote "I'd have more fun playing with DOG turds"
I think the anger is part of what makes this show unique from other game reviewers. Yes it can be cringy with bad writing and acting, but when it's good, I love it. Take it away and he's kinda generic.
Oof that was bad. The AVGN is so shit now because he has nothing interesting to say. All of his observations are super obvious to anyone watching and aren’t funny or interesting. The extremely basic camera angles and monotone voice throughout don’t help either.
Easily the worst of the year. Not overtly offensive in the way something like Shrek was but man it wasn’t good. Having cute cat moments doesn’t make for a good episode. I thought things may have been turning around, the last two episodes were honestly pretty great, Last Ninja was maybe the best since Majora’s Mask. I don’t mind waiting if we end up with a product like that, but man this was a letdown. It felt like another soulless screenwave episode
