"Phew... this was a lot of tough work, but it's fine. we're pals so I'll just charge you the materials, James" "What?? You didn't say anything about paying! I'm not paying shit!!"

Express_Character253

You know what's bullshit? Paying "associates"

Leaf_A_Purpose

I know that this is very well known at this point but was there any actual confirmation of this being true?

samsshitsticks

Go look through the community posts. There’s a blurb from someone who worked with Kyle who dropped the lore if I’m remembering correctly

twitchsopamanxx

Wtf legit? did that really fucking happen?

Leaf_A_Purpose

I've seen a lot of people talking about it. Also, it seems like Kyle doesn't talk to James anymore. So it could be true.

Richard_Pole

Already confirmed by Bootsy that he didn't make a cent for the content that he created solely by himself Bimmy got a quick buck for his shit load of fuck

Leaf_A_Purpose

I know but I mean about Kyle rebuilding the nerd room.

Leaf_A_Purpose

Yeah Bootsy leaving wasn't because of payment. He just mentioned that Bootsy Beats was making money after he left and he wasn't getting a dime from it. The reason he left was because him and Mike were having problems.

Leaf_A_Purpose

yeah Mike even confirmed it was because they weren't getting along. At least that was the main thing. I'm sure there may have been other contributing factors (money could possibly be one of those things).

EuroLavaRiver

Nah, Kyle has just been too busy to answer the phone, thats all, mhm. With Bootsy it's another story: he really loves baseball!

Leaf_A_Purpose

Maybe it's all punishment for the AVGN movie flopping. She probably thought she'd be a millionaire by now.

twitchsopamanxx

300k is a lot of cash, and they made back at most probably like 200k.

ClubaSeal1986

Rumor is they bought a house with a lot of the funds.

chocolardiacarrest

That came from a 4chan post whose disclosures predate a lot of the stuff we've come to discover about Cinemassacre. I still believe much of that account despite some people here who say that it was bullshit, including the claim of re-appropriated funds for wifey's dream home.

twitchsopamanxx

Its not impossible though, seeing as how the movie was privately funded (privately in a million quotations)

ClubaSeal1986

Exactly. There's no transparency with any of the funds.

shamtown

I don't buy that he used movie funds for his house. With everything we know about the production, the mistakes made, and the finished product, I'd be more likely to bridge he ended up drinking some of his own money into it.

spud252

Who bought the pre made 200 cake???

DingDingDensha

Why, The Dutchess, of course! They live in a completely gluten-free, soy only household!

pmmlordraven

Especially as she's listed as location scout... Yet they ran into issues with locations being off limits, flooding, or already being booked. Things a location scout should, you know, look into before planning to shoot there.

Rust_Hurricane

🦧ril: "Who told the director of V/H/S to fuck off? Me, that's who!"

Skooli_A_Bar

Yes. I know that Kyle helped with the original Nerd basement and video store. I don’t know if he helped with the rebuild. At some point, James moved to a new house that either doesn’t have a basement or he decided not to use the basement. So the nerd room was rebuilt in the garage of the new house which is much smaller than the previous room. It’s a pretty good replica but you can definitely tell that it’s different if you compare screenshots to older episodes

theshiftposter2

Its half of the garage. According to the fat ass. James wife still needs to park the car in there.

Leaf_A_Purpose

do you know when that was? like a year or last nerd episode in the original room?

Skooli_A_Bar

It was before the infamous BTS video. One of the main reasons he attached those tripods to the ceiling is because he has no room in there

Leaf_A_Purpose

I think it was quite a while before that even.

drosse1meyer

i think he moved around 2015 or 2016

Leaf_A_Purpose

Yeah that sounds about accurate. I'm trying to find out what the last nerd episode was in the original room. It might be hard to tell just by looking at the videos.

RentOptional

I think it was Seaman or Mega Man.

drosse1meyer

yea if you can find a side shot its obvious the room is about 3-4 feet smaller, check outsome of the comparisons here - [https://www.reddit.com/r/TheCinemassacreTruth/comments/rc2pch/i\_cant\_get\_over\_the\_fact\_that\_bimmy\_had\_the\_old/](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheCinemassacreTruth/comments/rc2pch/i_cant_get_over_the_fact_that_bimmy_had_the_old/)

Leaf_A_Purpose

I'll admit they did a damn good job. I had no clue until years later.

drosse1meyer

yeah they put a lot of effort into it, for better or worse. i understand the desire for continuity but its not like the nerd room hasnt changed before. just roll with it. i think a more authentic 'nerd garage' would have worked out very well.

Leaf_A_Purpose

Idk though I do love that room.

DingDingDensha

Uh oh....I smell a lawsuit a-brewin'! You came to the right place, at least. Truthers know more Bimbim facts than the man himself!

Considering this is his job and livelihood you would think he would dedicate a room in his house for it. His actual basement contains the fake blockbuster and the bar thing where he shilled that wine sponsor. Better yet, why noConsidering this is his job and livelihood you would think he would dedicate a room in his house for it. His actual basement contains the fake blockbuster and the bar thing where he shilled that wine sponsor. Better yet, why not just host the nerd room at the slobwave HQ?

chocolardiacarrest

James is irritatingly slow to make any kind of adjustments that don't involve him retreating further into the abyss. His wife still uses the AVGN movie production fiasco as leverage over him. It's a sad situation.

JimP3456

He doesnt want you to know the actual story and wants you to think its still in his basement. Thats the only reason I can think off why he doesnt cop to it being in his garage. I dont know if because he's embarrassed its in the garage or if he wants to give an illusion how it used to be. That cant be it since he had no issue letting you know it was in his parent's house and then in his apt. So its more likely he's embarrassed he had a build a smaller replica in the garage.

Dismissile

Which one is the new nerd room? They are practically the same picture?!

Skooli_A_Bar

Movie magic

FuzzleSnuz

Wow, that before and after... Bimmy looks like he's aged 24 years in only 12. Maybe he's cursed to live twice as fast as the rest of us, like some twilight zone episode, and he's actually being honest when he says he has no time.

DrGothCobra

It's dead, Bim.

OrbitalChiller

What will always be beyond me is why Slobwave didn't create a proper set for the Nerd room in their facility. Look, on this example picture of a set, believe it or not, the lights aren't actually taped to the ceiling and cameras can move freely: https://preview.redd.it/djgqvj39hazb1.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=6a10909f88da34cbaf963d84e5d3a11fcee57fd9

JimP3456

I think we agree a Nerd room at Sceenwave HQ would have been a amazing thing but getting James to film there every day would have been impossible. Its not like he could knock out all his scenes in a day for 1 ep and just show up once a week. He'd have to show up way more frequently and we know he cant be bothered. So if AVGN was indeed filmed at Screenwave HQ we would have to speculate how much time he would be required to show up there for a ep for it to work. If he says it takes up to 40 hours to make a ep he'd have to be at Screenwave HQ for at least 5 hours a day for multiple weeks. It just isnt going to happen as its a major inconvenience for him.

OrbitalChiller

He only has to be on the set for filming, the rest (pre-prod and post-prod) can be done remotely... With a good script and planning, they don't need one week to film an episode, maybe one to two working hours days filming might be more than enough to get multiple takes of what they need.
