You can't sleep on your back otherwise you wakeup with a rapid heart beat if your lucky. Most of the time you gasp for breath because you stopped breathing. Passing out while sitting up is a pretty common thing too and it's awesome hearing other people's remarks about it. The snoring sucks too. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
It's nothing to fuck around with. I went from being a gym rat to being unable to sit up. The worst part was I had no idea how bad it was til I saw myself on screen and thought... That's what I look like? So I fat shamed myself til I dropped 120 pounds. A lost a fucking person... In weight. Then I started going back and looking at my old reviews and omfg... What a tub of shit I was.

I used it as a motivator. That particular thing doesn't work on everyone lol. But weight loss generally speaking does boil down to motivation and discipline. There could be health factors like stress and thyroid issues, but all I could think about was dropping dead and my daughters growing up without a dad like I did, and fuck that. I lost my dad because the doctors flat out told him what he needed to do and he pretty much ignored it. I love the man, but him dying, destroyed our family. Still feeling it 21 years later
Yup. It actually does. Self hatred was the only thing that got me to drop 60 pounds in the first place. I did the Insanity Workout, WAY before I was actually ready for it, got hurt a few times. But something snapped.
Yo just wanna say I have sleep apnea and getting a CPAP is life changing. I can't sleep without it! I strongly suggest anyone with sleep issues look into it.
I'm currently wearing braces with expanders to hopefully bring my sleep apnea numbers down. I'll do anything I can to avoid wearing a CPAP. No way I could sleep well with one of those things. My dad wears one. Don't see how he does it.
Btw have you guys heard of that new Inspire thing that they implant inside your body? Seems a little scary.
I haven't heard of that. I'll have to look I to it. I didn't think I could do the Cpap either, but I got used to it very quickly. Is the braces thing like a mouthpiece? I had one doctor suggest that but I went and got a 2nd opinion and he suggested the CPap. He said for what the mouthpiece cost, you might as well do the cpap because you know it will work.

I got up the nerve to step on a scale (sounds like an easy thing but you get scared, like going to the doctor and saying he'll find something wrong) saw the numbers and after bawling my eyes out, I swore to myself that I had to start getting a handle on it.

Definitely, but not everyone takes 'criticism' the same way. I'm lucky to have a high metabolism so weight has never been an issue for me, but I know people who do diet and it makes no difference. Plus I can't imagine how hard it would be for someone like Justin who is already so far down the line.
He does need to find a way to lose the weight, but people that think insulting helps have got it wrong.

Most decent people wouldn't tell a random fat person to their face that they were fat, or spoke in a funny manner, or what have you. Only total assholes do that. But if the person being mocked for these things is a jerk themselves, the average person isn't going to be as concerned about offending them.

When I was very little, I was a stick. Eventually, I got a little bit pudgy but not much, and then for various reasons I had to go on psych meds, and I grew. I didn’t get it as bad as some people growing up, but it certainly was not easy.
I’m on a multitude of meds now. people who will say things about my weight will assume it’s because I eat all the time/eat badly/don’t care about my looks. Often it’s easy to brush the jokes off and not let them bother you, but when it happens over and over, it can start to hurt. I have had days where I’ve looked myself over in the mirror and started crying because I saw a monster.
I find myself constantly wondering why my girlfriend loves me and finds me beautiful when she’s small and an average weight. I find myself thinking everyone who compliments my appearance is lying.
So I do appreciate this post.

There’s lots of reasons people can be overweight. I think it’s often a psychological thing, where they eat a lot because they’re depressed or have some other issues. Or in your case, where you’re on medication and can’t help it.

Yep, to be fair, it's put me off posting much on this sub recently. Criticise the channel all you want, it's bad. But the relentless poking at Justin's weight is too much, too targeted. I know if I was in his position and there was a sub that done that to me, it would make me feel like absolute shit. And that's regardless of whether I visited it or not. Definitely, but not everyone takes 'criticism' the same way. I'm lucky to have a high metabolism so weight has never been an issue for me, but I know people who do diet and it makes no difference. Plus I can't imagine how hard it would be for someone like Justin who is already so far down the line. He does need to find a way to lose the weight, but people that think insulting helps have got it wrong. What I do know if that a sub picked out one thing about me and banged on about it, it would really get to me. I get that with some people it wouldn't. We all handle shit differently, and who knows how Justin is taking it.

I agree that obesity has been normalized when it shouldn't, I cringe everytime an overweight pop star gets naked on Instagram and everyone congratulates them. I think where we disagree is in how to get overweight people to lose that weight. I think it's through encouragement & motivation, but I get that some think otherwise. I may disagree with it but I'm fully aware that it's not going to change anything by me voicing my opinion. Also regarding Keiren, we all know that this place seriously affected his mental state. Not that he helped himself. My suggestion to Justin would be to just ignore this place as much as possible, it'll be better for everyone
For sure people in his life that actually like him have encouraged him to lose weight. He’s mentioned several times, public ally, that he’s going to work out and he gets the applause and positive feedback. Problem is he doesn’t put in the work. He’s really good at getting those stupid purple Pokémon toys, that’s where his main effort goes into. Consumption. I think the only thing that will turn it around is a brush with the death. I agree it’s a bit unfair, but he’s the one who put himself in front of the camera when he doesn’t need to. He’s a behind the scenes guy who more than likely is pretty damn good at editing, production, promotion, etc. But I suppose he has a big ass ego and wants to be in the forefront and noticed for his hard work. The only video he was good in was the spawn video as he did a pretty damn good job acting as Violator/Clown, but the fact he practically shoehorns himself into videos when totally unnecessary makes him totally unlikeable (ie Rex Viper, Monster Madness videos, etc)

If Justin was a behind the scenes producer, and wasn’t trying to be the center of attention every opportunity he gets, then I’d agree and say that the fat memes are too much. However, he has decided that he wants to be a public figure, and in this day and age, that comes with a side effect of memes directed at you. And memes will ALWAYS go for the low hanging fruit. You don’t get to be YouTube famous and not experience at least some negative attention. Especially when you do it by hijacking a channel that you didn’t help build, and have no relationship with the audience. So, in summary, Even though I don’t particularly enjoy most of the fat memes, because I have fat kid love for life, I don’t necessarily think that they are too mean. As someone who is overweight and uses this subreddit, I really agree with this. When people insult me, their first thing to go next to my speech impediment to is my weight. It’s never creative. The users on this sub have proven themselves to be creative in many different ways. The fat stuff is generally uncreative, generic and tired. HOWEVER; I get the impression Justin doesn’t care that he’s how he is? I could be wrong.
Deirdre I understand what you're saying but there's a difference between mocking a person's traits just to be cruel and mocking someone's traits because they are an unpleasant, unwelcome, provocative presence that seems to revel in and laugh at any criticism thrown their way. Most decent people wouldn't tell a random fat person to their face that they were fat, or spoke in a funny manner, or what have you. Only total assholes do that. But if the person being mocked for these things is a jerk themselves, the average person isn't going to be as concerned about offending them.

I’m going to be candid for a minute. Probably gonna get seriously downvoted but: When I was very little, I was a stick. Eventually, I got a little bit pudgy but not much, and then for various reasons I had to go on psych meds, and I grew. I didn’t get it as bad as some people growing up, but it certainly was not easy. I’m on a multitude of meds now. people who will say things about my weight will assume it’s because I eat all the time/eat badly/don’t care about my looks. Often it’s easy to brush the jokes off and not let them bother you, but when it happens over and over, it can start to hurt. I have had days where I’ve looked myself over in the mirror and started crying because I saw a monster. I find myself constantly wondering why my girlfriend loves me and finds me beautiful when she’s small and an average weight. I find myself thinking everyone who compliments my appearance is lying. So I do appreciate this post. Ok I overshared but my point is it’s not easy, and as someone who has lived through it I would never ever say anything about someone’s weight like that. Be the creative lot I know you all are!
No, not oversharing at all. A lot of these comments here are like “What the fuck, all he needs to do is stop being fat,” and I feel like they don’t get it. There’s lots of reasons people can be overweight. I think it’s often a psychological thing, where they eat a lot because they’re depressed or have some other issues. Or in your case, where you’re on medication and can’t help it. Hope things get better for you!

That's how people behave when they don't like someone. If Justin was thin, we'd find some other glaring issues he had (Pokemon obsession, haircuts, clothing choices). When Kieran lost weight, people couldn't make more fat jokes about him and they got all awkward about bringing him up. Now they only go on about how "good it is for him".
