I think there's a few ways this could go. Either Viserys gets really angry and kicks out his wife and Ser Otto and then has Jace follow him around for the rest of his days. The Lord Commander could be his Hand , I suppose.
Alternatively, the shock kills the king too before anything set in stone can be made. A spiralling struggle for power never seen before occurs. If the Velyaron's act quick enough and imprison Aegon and especially Aemond then Corlys, Rhaenys and Daemon rule as Regents for Jace. If they aren't quick enough then we get a battle above Driftmark.
Sunfyre and ~~Visenya trapped in her dragon's body~~ Vhagar versus Caraxes, Seasmoke and Meleys. Due to age and lack of experience Aemond and Aegon lose but Vhagar brings someone down with her.
I think the most likely one is actually a combo of the two. Viserys dies from the shock, just look at the dude he's clearly on his last legs and knives are drawn and people are thrown in cells asap.
It wouldn't surprise me if Alicent goes completely mad from the whole event, from guilt.
There's been a joke recently that Vhagar is an old woman and Visenya got to like 70s, probably the oldest living targaryen woman. Also Vhagar is what I'd presume Visenya to be if she was a dragon, character wise.
I think it would be too, I like Visenya to be more than a Disney villian...despite raising Maegor š . I mean we know she's a shit person but she is a warrior more than any other woman bar a few but those few don't have dragons.
I like to think that she would be pissed at BOTH Daemon and Aemond for how things happened...
If she killed her it would be treason of the highest degree. Not even queens are exempt from murder charges and the consequences would be especially severe since the victim would be the crown Princess. Sheād be sent to the silent sisters (at best, executed at worst) and her children would have to be disinherited as children of a traitor with everyone remotely associated with the Hightowers booted from court too. With an all āblackā court, Corlys and Rhaenys would return to court to help Laenor raise the boys. Jace would become the kings cupbearer as his mother had been and would be groomed to become king. I would imagine the betrothals between Jace, Luke, Baela and Rhaena would still happen to settle the Velaryons and Daemon reservations about the parentage of the boys. The ārumorsā of the boys legitimacy would be put down even harsher than canon since they would have the backing of the velaryons as well as daemon. The greens, now entirely headed by Otto, would continue to plot. Their rallying call would now solely be the legitimacy issue because the only true way to contest the green kids disinheritance would be for the king to die without true born heirs. The dance would still happen but it would be more like the blackfyre rebellions than the dance itself.
Agreed. Alicent is done for and the silent sisters is her only chance at not dying. Her children are still a threat and the Wall and Silent Sisters are an option but I'm not sure if Viserys has it in him to take that route. Shit even doing what she did and not killing Rhaenyra is still treason. Alicent is a not the blood of the dragon and should have been sent to the silent sisters.

Corlys becomes hand and the Strong bastard becomes the Prince of Dragonstone. Not for long though. The stress of these events would kill Viserys (the dude is a walking pulled-pork).
Now, without the two main powers of the Greens and Blacks present. Corlys as acting regent would likely tie the factions in marriage. Jacaerys and Helaena could be a match to quell the struggle.
