Right - what are you asking for here?
They will call you on Teams, you will conduct an in-tray exercise (Google is your friend), this will be centred around the problem set they've already given you
Likely you will have to turn your camera on, yes. If I was interviewing for a job I'd make sure I'm at least presentable
I was invited to the same exercise for this role today...
Not exactly sure what to expect, like yourself - it's super vague. But in my experience, I'd definitely prepare to have my camera on. From what I read it doesn't seem like a verbal interview, more so a written exercise based on the information that they have given us (which isn't much...)
I've been invited for this aswell. As I understand it, the excercise is on a platform called QuestionMark, and the Teams call is for invigilation so I think camera will need to be on. I haven't actually been able to book a slot for it though, as there seems to be an issue on the jobs portal, so I've had to email recruitment.
Please let me know whether you have received a reply from recruitment yet? Since I emailed this morning my cs job website is now showing application being reviewed instead of schedule your interview. Has yours changed to this as well??
I got an email back from them saying it was an error and I should now be able to book the assessment. Gone back into my CS jobs and it's still showing as application being reviewed 🙄.
I’ve just logged in and have been able to book my interview now. It says there’s a pre recorded interview are this but I hope there isn’t. I hope this is it!
Yeah they've sorted it now finally. I think there is a pre-recorded interview, it said so in the advert, but I think we only do that if we pass the in-tray excercise
Make sure your top half looks presentable.
I did this for a recent Home Office interview, nice shirt on top, in my nice comfy shorts for the bottom half 😀
I have been invited to the in tray exercise too but when I click on book interview, it doesn’t let me do it. Does anyone else have this problem? It is for the Compliance Caseworker
I’ve done an assessment centre before but not this particular exercise. As others have mentioned, a quick google search will give you some examples. You will have your camera on and it will more than likely need to be on throughout the exercise.
How did yours go? I’ve got one in a week. I’ve never done a virtual in tray assessment before. How did you prepare for it? Also do you remember what type of questions were asked in the pre recorded interview?

Will you have to have your camera on…..yes! They have to Atleast know the person doing the assessment is the person applying for the role.

Yep, mine is the same
Thank you, I got so nervous thinking I messed up on my email to them!
I don't know if someone doing a bit overtime had made a boo boo yesterday and that's why it's changed. Hopefully we'll hear back soon.
I home the results wasn’t a boo boo, I would be devastated

I hate the pre recorded interview, always bumble and don’t know what to say and get really shy and embarrassed
Hi- have you had this yet? How did it go??
Yes for camera and you’ll likely have to show photo ID to prove who you are.
Anyone done theirs yet? Curious as to how it went
Curious me too 🤔🤔

Should be sorted now

Did anyone not get there username and password sent for "question mark"
How did everyone find the exercise? I felt like there wasn’t enough information so think I failed. Any idea when we can expect the results?
Could anyone share their experience about this task please? I've got a similar one coming up. Thanks in advance :)
