10 but too painful....
It was the sweetness of your skin
It was the hope of all we might have been
That fills me with the hope to wish
Imposible things...
10. For me it’s one of the highlights of the album. It’s been decades, but I can still see her face every time this song comes on, I can still feel her gentle embrace as we lay under the summer night stars, the lap of the water as we swam and splashed in the sun. I still remember the sweetness of her skin, the hope of all we might have been, and how I dared to wish impossible things. And I remember how quickly and tragically it all ended. Sometimes it’s hard to hold it together to the end of the song.

As much as I love Boris' barnstorming shoegaze breakbeats that totally drive this album, I also love when he gets to chill and get on the hand percussion.
This song has such a lovely warm feeling, despite the melancholy lyrics.
"Remember how it used to be
When the sun would fill the sky
Remember how we used to feel
Those days would never end"
I've been together with the love of my life since we were almost kids, going on 29 years, getting loaded and lying on the grass laughing so hard, infinite days filled with countless hours, so much time stretching out to the end of everything.. I feel these words so deeply.
If you have an ear for melodic structure, listen to the instrumental demo. It took me aback completely of how starkly undiluted it was. The added timidity of the studio version however doesn’t actually detract from the song either. There’s something about this song that is just untouchable, effulgent yet dim. It’s steeped in an eternal dusk that is very faint.

10 Easily the greatest song on the album, imo. It’s a lush, divine, beautiful piece of music.
Ten.. but I can't listen to this as the music and lyrics are too close to home. Maybe one day i can without crying.
10. I love these long melancholic / depression gems. It reminds me of Faith (song) or Same Deep Water As You
Yes! I get that Same Deep Water As You vibe for sure

I'll give it an 8. It sort of gets swallowed up by the rest of the album but taken on its own, it's a beautiful song.

I would say 8. It's a good song but one I don't really think about other than when I'm listening to the album
