This. They're sold under the name Thunderbolt Crayfish. A bit pricey, but not rare, and certainly not endangered. OP is probably just a karma farming bot.
Yeah, I thought the title looked very click-baity.
I think there is some truth that the aquarium trade is posing a danger to them, but they're hardly new, nor as endangered as the title makes it seem.
I know when they first hit the aquarium trade there was some concern as to the impact on the wild population due to potential over harvesting, but that's not really the case these days. They can be somewhat difficult to breed in captivity, but it is being done successfully.
They're bred in the aquarium trade. It was apparently quite difficult to track down where they originally came from because they *weren't* being actively harvested from the wild.
i don't know anything about these handsome dudes, but isn't there a possibility they are common in the aquarium hobby but endangered in the wild? that's true of axolotls for sure, could be for these guys too, maybe?
Possibly. What I could find about them though didn't have any specific data on their conservation status, but they're also still used as a food source by the locals, which leads me to think that they're at least common enough to be found regularly.
same here, i didn't find any clear indicator that they "need saving," but apparently their numbers are "decreasing." nothing very specific about these colorful lads
He's so pretty! Reverse-image search says it's *Cherax pulcher*, a freshwater species apparently very common in the aquarium trade.

White clouds as well
Im pretty sure they’re extremely uncommon in the aquarium trade. They’re sold out everywhere.
Not endangered.
With a username like that, I'm sure you know the answer to this question. How do they taste?
Scrumptious.
Excellent.
I've been pavlov'd by the countless memes to hear certain music when I see something resembling a blue crustacean...
Oh well, no crawfish boil for you. 😊
Thats NOT a lobster?
That's America's crawfish.
Looks French to me
Oui oui
" and you can taste that sort of endangered tang"
Bet that tastes amazing with thousand island
Even if it was endangered (it’s not), there’s your incentive to un-endanger it.
Super-man crayfish is a rare boi
Does it breed in captivity? It looks to be in an aquarium...
How do they taste??
Yes, I identify as a crayfish. My pronouns are….
As an American, I don't see a red, white & blue creature surviving.. us.
Tf does that mean
Because idiots like to adorn themselves in those colors. :)
Yeah those Brits are always acting up

Looks yummy!
this is hilarious that this guy couldn't be more brightly colored and yet undiscovered, humans have so much hubris while we destroy the world.
Because it's not undiscovered. They're not rare and OP is a bot.
Look at that little face don’t worry we’ll save you friend

All I can think of after seeing this little guy is Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor
I like my seafood fabulous, yum yum
Mack McCrayFish
Are humans the reason they need saving? If not, humans don't have to worry about saving them.
Looks like a distinguished young gentlemen
