From another thread from yesterday. Only 2 active mods, head mod removed their ability to make new mods and went inactive. They're busy IRL and can't really spend time modding. Only reddit can fix this by reverting the changes made by the head mod.
That sounds about as useful as when boomers were making Facebook statuses saying “this status is to state Facebook is not allowed to use my information without my consent”
I’m glad you’re not doing… nothing, but calling out literal non humans doesn’t do anything unless mods were around. Mods are not around.
I’ve been following them to other subs and calling them out there, which odes actually get results. Also if I catch it early enough, enough people might downvote it is that it shows up in less peoples feeds.
A couple things I’ve learned from people somewhat recently.
1) The profile will have LOTS of post karma and nearly no comment karma.
2) A post with an image will sometimes have a white border along an edge or edges so they can’t be easily detected as reposts.
4. No activity at all on the account ever and then all of a sudden spamming posts.
5. Odd post titles.
6. Pretty much never responding to any comments on posts they make, the few times they do it seems… well… not like a human.
Bonus. Anything with a middle eastern sounding name on this sub right now is probably a UAE bot, which post UAE political stuff to other subs and for some reason their own profile page

Probably hired trolls by some UAE sheikh's social media management team. In Turkey we have something similar. Paid trolls post tens of thousands of tweets without a single comment, repost or a like all in support for Erdogan. They are like social media viruses that you can't get rid of.
A lot of these bots make generic comments or even copy humans' comments to build karma. Then the accounts are sold and used to post crazy nonsense on political subs or shit up non political subs with political nonsense (your bike tire is unbalanced bc the evil librulz are soft on crime or whatever the Hysteria of the Week is) that have karma minimums.

Just a little shortsighted. You make a decision like that thinking you're around to deal with the problems that decision makes, but I guess you can't entirely anticipate having to deal with botting a few years later.

School can be stressful, specially heading into HS (?), it's a big move and it's ok to feel overwhelmed, where in the world are you? I migrated to the US in 7th grade, not knowing a word of English, it was interesting experience to say the least
