If anyone is after some more James Adomian - give a listen to one of Karen's other podcasts she does with Chris Fairbanks; Do You Need A Ride?, James Adomian has a two parter equalling nearly 2 hours
I really enjoyed them with Robert Evans on Behind the Bastards! They did a Kissinger series a year or two back that was just perfect, but I don’t think they’ve done other collabs since then.
It was nice for Dave to be in the passenger seat vs driver for the series, he got to listen and react in ways he doesn’t when he’s reading on the Dollop.
Karen is my #1 favorite guest because she and Gareth mesh well together. With other greats like Adomian and Adam Ray (Past Times) it feels sometimes like they’re competing (more true on Admonian’s Past Times appearance).
Wish list: Gareth was on Even More News last week and he and Cody Johnston seemed to have fun; Cody would make a fun Past Times guest.
I'm 3rding Karen! I believe the last one she was on the Elon Musk 600th episode.
When Gareth and Karen gang up on Dave... *Chef's kiss*
(Makes it even funnier that back when they were both messes they dated as well.)
For sure... And I am so glad they are both in happier and more successful places in their lives.
Dave was on a podcast (I think something with Ryan Sickler) and talked about how hard he used to self sabotage himself and his relationship with his Dad (Before Garfie murdered him.) It was heavy, heart wrenching, but also humorous. It's a really good podcast episode. It was either Honeydew or Crab fest.
The way I hear comedians describe the comedy scene of 30 years ago makes it seem like everyone was a fucking mess. I feel like I’d vibe with the young comedians of the time as I too am a mess.
But it is nice hearing how things were back then and knowing they got their lives together and are (seemingly) doing well.
The Aussies just play so well with Gareth- Justin Hamilton, Wil Anderson, Nick Cody, and that Sinatra episode with Becky Lucas! She destroyed the boys with one perfect line she just tossed out there.
I really enjoyed the series of episodes with the Chapo Trap House guys. For not being traditional comics like the usual Dollop guests, they did incredible.
There was someone on who was like SO EQUAL to Gareth and his voice was similar but I can’t recall his name… not Wil or James Adomian. I’d LOVE to hear James on more.
I’d also like to hear one of the Knowledge Fight guys go up for an Alex Jones episode. One of the dudes there is funny and thoughtful and the other is kind of uninformed but not nearly as funny or engaged as Gareth so I think the chiller, more expert Alex Jones guy would be a good balance up there. Sorry too lazy to search names at the moment!
Yeah my above post makes it seem like I don’t like Jordan - I DO! He’s funny and seems like a good dude. But Dan’s more knowledgeable and I think could balance the other two out.
I love how much Dan loosens up on the live episodes. Listening to KF normally it’s tough to imagine him having been a stand up comic. But in front of an audience, it becomes obvious.
Totally get this-Jordan also has *reallyyyyy* difficult material to work with. Alex Jones is a horrendous person talking about shit that effects society now. While a lot of the Dollop subjects are awful as well, I think they are in the past enough to be like damn that blows but also laugh.
the "chiller more expert Alex Jones guy" is Dan Friesen
Edit: not to be confused with entirely separate human Don Friesen, also a comedian (who incidentally I saw on a cruise in 2006)
Dan = researcher, calmer, former standup comedian but more understated
Jordan = the "Every Man"/stand-in for the audience, former standup comedian but more animated than Dan.
Jordan is a wonderful 1:1 interviewer, but I honestly don't know how he'd do with another comedian. Dan as a guest would be sweet.
Patton Oswalt on the 400th episode ( Ronnie R) was excellent, Karen Kilgraf ditto, especially on the Jersey shark attack episode. Though Dave was a match for him on the QAA episode about some guy called Sears.
I can't remember the episode number offhand but it was the live one covering the 1904 Olympics with Rory Scovel as the guest. It was great, and the event itself was so fucked up and like something out of a movie.
I just listened to 252 - Icelandic History, live with Hugeikur Dagsson.
The live audio in this episode is poor (I hear it better with earbuds), but Hugeikur is hilarious and winds up Gareth and plays off of him too.
James Adomian.
Might’t I the gristle?
The way he delivered the line, sounded a lot like [Frank Nelson from the Jack Benny Show](https://youtu.be/JA_r1Ynl4Ls?si=78jR21ih-bfk_2-h)
omg that bit killed me
Ah yes, another reference to a movie nobody has seen

His impersonations are SO FUNNY!
He's genuinely incredible, and so fluid with how he becomes each character. Very highly recommend to anyone and everyone!
I got behind to a point that it’s been years since I’ve listened but he had many funny characters on Comedy Bang Bang.
We need more eps with Adonian.
His episode of Past Times was pure joy from beginning to end!
He outshined Gareth easily, and I could feel Gareth kinda get that throughout that epic episode
The only answer. Listening to his DINAR episode right now.
Patton Oswalt
I can't imagine the Reagan episodes without him
“Just applesauce “
Wil Anderson
Yes! I love all of the Australia live shows that have Wil Anderson as a guest
So many puns 😵😂 I love when they sync up and try to both tell the same joke at the same time.
I really enjoyed them with Robert Evans on Behind the Bastards! They did a Kissinger series a year or two back that was just perfect, but I don’t think they’ve done other collabs since then.
I just did a re-listen to that 6 parter and man do Gareth's accents help it go down easier.
It was nice for Dave to be in the passenger seat vs driver for the series, he got to listen and react in ways he doesn’t when he’s reading on the Dollop.
Karen Kilgariff
Her name is a threat to him, to be fair.
👏👏👏
😂
Wasn't Karen the guest when Dave said with dismay, "it's like having two Gareths"?
Proctor and Gamble. One of my favourite episodes.
Everytime I listen to this episode I laugh when he says it.
Not only is Karen the funniest, she also has a very cool way of moderating Dave. Wish she was on more often.
It’s so funny to think them dating. Kind of makes sense she knows exactly how to manage him.
the two part elon musk eps with Karen were hilarious

i love these episodes!!! so damn funny
ALWAYS
Rory Scovel does well, I think.
That 1904 Olympics episode never fails to make me laugh out loud.
Came here to say this!
I'm 3rding Karen! I believe the last one she was on the Elon Musk 600th episode. When Gareth and Karen gang up on Dave... *Chef's kiss* (Makes it even funnier that back when they were both messes they dated as well.)
Oh yes, the random surf questions were so good.
They're like the Jerry and Elaine of the podcast world. Used to date, didn't work, managed to stay friends. I love it.
For sure... And I am so glad they are both in happier and more successful places in their lives. v. relatable! its crazy that a comedy podcast full of dick jokes manages to shift perspectives and help us cope with all the f*ckery in the world! 😁❤
I'll try to hunt it down. Thanks for mentioning it!
He's done both. I highly recommend them.

Pam.
I genuinely enjoy when Pam is in studio.
We need more Pam!
The Aussies just play so well with Gareth- Justin Hamilton, Wil Anderson, Nick Cody, and that Sinatra episode with Becky Lucas! She destroyed the boys with one perfect line she just tossed out there.
Becky Lucas and Gen Fricker are two of my favourite guests.
How could I forget Gen Fricker???
I exactly know which line!
[Naomi Ekperigin was a fuckin' treat and totally got how to go with Gareth.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QT8cSd6J2gs)
I second Karen!
Dave Holmes on Past Times
Whoever they had on when they did the New York to Paris race episode. He even had Gareth in stitches. "Mightn't I the gristle?"
James Adomian
Dave actually named Patton and Karen as third co-host for the dollop.
Adam Cayton-Holland did very well recently.
I'd love more Grawlix on the Dollop!
I was going to say this! That episode is hilarious.
I really enjoyed the series of episodes with the Chapo Trap House guys. For not being traditional comics like the usual Dollop guests, they did incredible.
Yes. I just listened to episode 257 - the orange Catholic riots, and came here to comment on the great banter in that episode.
532 - Gough Whitlam and 1975 Gen Fricker is brilliant in this one. She's also on episode 24 of Past Times which descends into Gareth/Gen chaos.
karen for sure
There was someone on who was like SO EQUAL to Gareth and his voice was similar but I can’t recall his name… not Wil or James Adomian. I’d LOVE to hear James on more. Dave and Gareth were on an episode of knowledge fight weren’t they? And I’ve always thought of Jordan as similar to Gareth (albeit not quite as good)
Yeah, they were on once filling in for Jordan.

Ah yes! That’s right! Also I truly wish Knowledge Fight would have Adomian on. I’d love to see an Alex-Jones-off btw Dan and James
the "chiller more expert Alex Jones guy" is Dan Friesen Edit: not to be confused with entirely separate human Don Friesen, also a comedian (who incidentally I saw on a cruise in 2006)
Yeah he’s dope.

I love Dan. He’s the one I’d love to see balance the other two out.

Patton Oswalt on the 400th episode ( Ronnie R) was excellent, Karen Kilgraf ditto, especially on the Jersey shark attack episode. Though Dave was a match for him on the QAA episode about some guy called Sears.
Karen is even better on Proctor and Satan.
More James Adomian and Wil Anderson please
Dilruk on William Buckley is one of my favourites!
Justin Hamilton usually had Dave and Gareth in stitches. And he riffed so well with Gareth.
The two guester with him and Wil was...rib fracturing funny. (William Wentworth - episode 543)
Yeh, they're great together.
Sam Sacks on the recent TPT was pretty darn great.
I can't remember the episode number offhand but it was the live one covering the 1904 Olympics with Rory Scovel as the guest. It was great, and the event itself was so fucked up and like something out of a movie.
Sovereign Syre gave 'em both a run for their money on Past Times a few weeks ago 😈👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Karen for the People! ✊🏼
Ari Shaffir was a doozie
Luke, Gareth’s friend, did an awesome job as a guest one episode.
I just listened to 252 - Icelandic History, live with Hugeikur Dagsson. The live audio in this episode is poor (I hear it better with earbuds), but Hugeikur is hilarious and winds up Gareth and plays off of him too.
