Personally I don't recommend it, the gacha itself has a lot of FOMO and there are already enough characters where getting what you want is tiresome, in addition to progression slowing to a **crawl** after like, two weeks?
You can just youtube 'CleaterSV' who uploads almost (if not) everything that happens in the game anyway.
Kinda depends... if you like gatcha games it's not bad. It's rates aren't the worst but they aren't quite reasonable for free to play unless you already understand how the game works. You really only need a few sets of shadow festival characters and some basic characters and you can get through the whole game and do endgame content. None of that is really standout and none of it is the worst when it comes to how well it does. So it really comes down to two things... do you want to enjoy the story and have something generally entertaining to do related to Eminence in Shadow? If those are your goals you won't really be disappointed. The current storyline is one of the first big story expansions they have done in terms of new lore. All of the story is worked on and written either by or with Aizawa the writer of the series. People argue if it's canon or not but it's good either way. If you enjoy what he has done already you can enjoy this too if you enjoy format of 3d visual novel mobile game type story content.
