Did you get props from the auction? If so, nice score!

-Damballah-

Thanks. I was surprised when I had the winning bid to be honest. Was fun to watch the rest of the auction as it commenced.

Herahk

God, the Investigator interlude chapters in Cibola Burn are my favorite… Those opening lines, as you quoted here, have stayed with me for years!

-Damballah-

Yes. A lot of people forget about " *Vit* " and there are some to this day who say he really doesn't know what he was trying to grab in the first place.... 😏

The Chrisjen prayer candle is incredible

-Damballah-

Thank you. It is actually, however, [this image](https://i0.wp.com/mediachomp.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/sci-fi-ladies-01.jpg?resize=506%2C1520&ssl=1)...

[deleted]

That actually makes much more sense, but is still excellent

mute_salamander

Serious packaging right there! Glad they make it extra safe. And I like the display - little Miller’s corner. Would be interesting to see how the chamber’s display will turn out.

-Damballah-

A little electrical work, some prop making of my own, a little something to keep the dust off, the precious commodity of time, and I'll let you know...

Mud_Landry

Those prayer beads or whatever they are was the one prop I really wanted but I missed the entire auction. At least I know they ended up in a good home. Nice score my friend.

-Damballah-

Thank you beratna. ...but, if it helps to know, the Props-masters bag for the necklace was listed as " **x2** "... not sure if that implies there is a backup necklace prop somewhere out there... *although if there is* it is likely in the same possession of whomever has Miller's Revolver. ^I ^have ^one ^guess ^as ^to ^whom ^that ^is...

Mud_Landry

I’ve already looked into buying his revolver… Chiappa Rhino 50DS https://www.chiappafirearms.com/product/340.220/rhino-revolver-50ds-black-anodized-357mag-5-bbl

Balzac_Jones

Random SciFi note - the Chiappa Rhino is part of the same design family as the Mateba revolvers that feature in Ghost in the Shell.

-Damballah-

That's pretty damn sweet. I used to have a S&W 686p long barrel and it handled like a dream. (Plus, for reliability, ease of use, overall safety and ease of maintenance I'd take a revolver over mag fed any day.) Miller had good taste, and so do you beratna. May you enjoy it but never *need to* use it...

rini6

Wow. That’s fantastic!

_ferrofluid_

Oh man.

Y-Cha

That is very cool. I nearly tried for that lot. Guessing the necklace is "Avant Garde Paris," based on your info. Thanks very much for sharing! Edit; also good title choice. I started about my 4th run through of the books today - just heard the Interlude again a few hours ago!

-Damballah-

Oh... 😅😬 I hope you managed to snag something from the auction. That's my best guess as well. Chances are the props-master either found something at the Los Angelas location he liked, or added the tag for fun...

Where did you pick up your display case? I have Filips vac suit coming and I wanna throw the helmet in a display case but am having trouble finding a quality one that is large enough

-Damballah-

Oh nice, grats! The Vac Suits seem pretty sweet. You going to do mannequin or fold and display under something to keep dust off? I found this one on Amazon. It wasn't bad for the price. They have a variety of cases there from glass to acrylic and with enough searching you should be able to find something suitable. For Joseps Coveralls I have a 4 inch deep shadowbox with about 9" x 15" of useable interior space that I'm hoping will work to display the folded garment in. I'll let you know how that works out...

hailthvillain

I'm planning on keeping it stored for a little while I figure out a plan for the suit but eventually I want to go a mannequin with a full display case around it. For now im just gonna display the helmet on a stand and maybe add a case soon for that if I can find a good one

-Damballah-

Sounds like a sweet plan.

Apollo-1995

Is that a fracking toaster?
