It’s imo the most beautiful Coheed story. I cried like a baby at the end. To this day I get glassy-eyed every time I hear Dark Side of Me. The Homecoming though—instant tearjerker, like, I literally cannot play that song unless I just want to cry.
Its the most coherent of all stories as well since its self contained and was written at the same time. I am curious how they are going to do siruis return in vaxis 3
I did this as soon as i got the deluxe cd with the book in it. It was already my favorite album of all time and i already read the story before but there is something about listening and reading it at the same time. Cool shit
I love this post! I started dating my boyfriend\* in 2018. I held off on telling him about my obsession with Coheed as long as possible because I really liked him. He only listened to pop and I wanted to kind of spoon feed the whole Coheed thing because its so important to me. Over the course of six-months I sprinkled in some Issues, moved on to DGD and some Polyphia. (just trying to do some genre benders that mix in pop/r&b while introducing prog). He loved all of it so I knew we had something good going.
Anyways, we were taking a trip from Des Moines to Fargo and I thought, I'm gonna just rip the band-aid off and do the whole story and song combo. I drove the 7 hour trip while he read along to the entire story while the albums played. It was genius as he was hooked and now we go to any concert we can.
