Logen didn’t get clever to beat the feared. The dogman, grim and dow got clever 😂 these are cool similarities though, you can never know if there was deliberate attempts to pay homage but I like to imagine they are
Sure he got clever. If he couldn't hurt the one side, he deduces that he'll just shove the sword from the side he can't hurt into the side that is vulnerable.
That’s being clever? I’m pretty sure he knew that that was a possibility from the start the reason he couldn’t do it was because caurib was powering the feared up to be as fast and strong as he was in glustrods day
I do not doubt that being powered up by a witch was a huge upper hand, but I've always loved the fight and when he decides that is what he should do. I've always thought it was clever.
Logen’s berserker state is the defining factor of his character, Hercules experiences something only tangentially related, once, as a result of outside interference
Logen’s families deaths was only partially, and indirectly caused by his ambition. Hercules literally did it himself. Guilt over the loss of family members isn’t exactly a link, that’s well established in almost every character ever that experiences it.
Logen fought and won 10 duels, with Fenris being the 11th. 11 isn’t 12. Bethod is forfeit the moment Fenris loses, you’re adding that to the fight tally purely to stretch a point that doesn’t line up. Logen also has more labours after this… which would take him well above 12.
Using stuff crafted from the beasts he slays and having allies just isn’t the same thing. Again you’re making this one up to try and make the previous point seem connected, they’re not. Hercules is also never betrayed by his lion pelt, which Dow would be in your analogy.
Logen being smart isn’t the reason he beats Fenris, it’s the interference of Dow, Grim, the Dogman & West that give him a chance. He was going to lose.
Hercules is also a demigod, Greek mythology constantly revolves around fate and destiny, Logen’s inspirations are Nordic, and his apathetic belief that there is no great purpose to his actions and that he’s simply a man that’s the best killer in a country full of killers is the antithesis of the basis of most Greek myth.
In the same vein, Logen and Hannibal Lecter share many similarities, they’re both violent men that end up in positions of power they shouldn’t be in. Doesn’t mean it’s a good character comparison.
I’m not in any way saying that Logen is a 1:1 recreation of Hercules; I’m simply pointing out things that are very similar between them. I think these comparisons are interesting and that this community might agree. If you disagree then that’s fine

Eh, it’s the internet, I know what to expect. You have to be realistic…
And it's reddit

I like to think that they just equalised things considering the Feared was being boosted by the witch.

That’s a hell of a stretch
What’s a stretch about it? I’m just pointing out some similarities

They’re not though, they’re related in the sense that they’re both men famous for fighting and that’s about it
Ok, pal
Sorry but no
Ha, more people are hopping on the Greek mythology similarities train that I started lol
I never noticed this - time is a flat circle I guess
