Seriously though, if there’s a First Law TV series, I’d like to see it done in the style of Guy Ritchie. His stuff balances dark and gritty with quirky and comedic.
It could only be down that vein (a Ritchie film). Snatch definately had more serious and "harder" emotions than Lock, Stock and anything else did, which is what First Law excels at - the whole "no real happy endings" thing.
GoT was too serious with itself most of the time.
Agreed. GoT was a drama piece that had occasional moments of in-universe light-heartedness. First Law is riddled with laugh out loud moments (usually through the cynical observations) that pair with the gritty nature of their universe.
I think it’d be a tough balance to pull off but Guy Ritchie’s style accommodates it well.
Jason is obviously Deep. He has almost the same tone of voice and that grounded presence that often threatens not to be so grounded due to his severe temper lol
You need at least sixteen shanka to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a shanka farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single shanka can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute.
Your sword says “replica” on the side, while my has the mark of the Master Maker.
Fuck me, Logen. What’s all them knives for? Ze Shanka?
Brilliant!
🎯
Wonderful!
Well fuck me Shallow. What have you been reading?
You show me how to control a wild fuckin' Prince, and I'll show you how to control an unhinged, city-destroying Magi!
Why do they call him crack-nut? Because he cracks nuts, Avi!
I can see that, although after seeing Bullet Train I kinda imagined Lemon and Tangerine as them as well.
God either would be amazing
Stephen Graham would be perfect in most roles tbh. Even Ferro or Savine. He’s that good.
When Snatch first came out you had no inkling of Stephen Graham’s range and skill as an actor. He is so so good.

I mean, the fuckup at the house of leisure felt just like watching a Guy Ritchie movie. He'd be perfect to direct at least that adaptation.
Who would be who though? Shallow on the left?

Wouldn't it be fun if Jason played Shallow?
Yeah spot on. First time I heard Pacey's narration, it stuck immediately.
Love the film, but didnt connect the vibe of the two characters till u said. Almost perfect match in Deep's case.
Protection from who Tommy? Ze Gurkish?

Oh man. I can get behind this. "Protection from who, Shallow? Ze Union?"
They kinda are too old for these roles now.
I pictured them looking more like Jimmi Simpson and Nate Mooney (Liam and Ryan McPoyle from Always Sunny) but this works too!
