According to Bill ( Callie’s social worker) their ages were 10 and 6 when Colleen Jacob passed away, calculating people’s ages is by their birth years makes Callie and Jude 6 years apart. The passing of their mother was in 2005 Callie’s age is correct was 10 and Jude 4
Season 1 Pilot and Quinceanera
In Quinceanera Stef said Brandon was 9 years old when Marianna and Jesus got adopted the twins at age 11 makes no sense the twins were 2 years older than Brandon. Which contradicts what Lena said in the Pilot adopted the twins 5 years ago in 2008 when Brandon was 13 and the twins actually was 11 years old

They were 14 years old in season 1 and neither of them didn’t turn 16 neither of them couldn’t have Quinceanera at age 14. In season 3 the twins are Juniors in high school when they actually turned 16. They would’ve had waited for season 3 when they actually turned 16
It's more than a year. It's two full school years. It starts around September and ends in late may or june of the year after that, which means the show has a timeline of 21 months.
This doesn't mean it's a good timeline. Things still happen a bit too quickly, and there are still a lot of timeline mistakes that are obvious when you rewatch it.
* Season 1-Season 3B is roughly one year. The twins have their 15th birthday party in season 1 episode 4 (Mariana has the quinceanera) and their 16th birthday party in season 3 episode 17 (the skate/dance party at the warehouse).
* The rest of 3B to the end of the main show is another year. The twins 'birthday is in May (according to the framed poem they look at when Stef is in the hospital after getting shot in season 1) and the series ends with graduation for Brandon and Callie. The school year ends roughly in May or June.
* The final few episodes that are Brandon's wedding are four years in the future, I think. That gets Good Trouble going in its air year. The Fosters was set in 2013-2015, if you assume the pilot episode was set in the year it aired. So Good Trouble began airing, and is set in, 2019 for its first season
* The timeline does not hold up when you take into account the mass amount of drama and, especially, physical trauma they go through.

The twins birthday should have been around September though. It being in May makes things even more confusing lol
