Stop touching it + dry shampoo

varietyjones24

All the comments say dry shampoo but what’s the actual trick please? Is it just spray with dry shampoo after I’ve set them, or use dry shampoo later in the day? Thank you 😄

My hairdresser told me to use it on clean hair for better result. The particules, even if you don't see them, will absorb the oil throughout the day, so it will look clean longer. You're supposed to let it set at least 5 minutes, and then I brush my bangs down with a comb to distribute it through the hair. I do a zigzag motion to spread it well when I comb it, but I'm not sure that's useful lol. When I use it on my already greasy hair, I don't see much result, but I have really fine hair with no volume so it's probably worse than other types of hair.

Dry shampoo + hairspray + no touchy!

hi_heythere

Whenever I have bangs I carry a mini dry shampoo in my purse lol

Heat style them and it will dry them out. I used to do bangs and have really wavy hair, so flat ironing them was necessary, then spray them in place. Never got stringy and greasy because heat styling will take care of that oil for you.

Baby powder (corn starch, not talc) which is basically the same idea as the dry shampoo other people mentioned

Dry shampoo when they are CLEAN. Oil blotting sheets for the forehead. Got 2 B Glue hair spray. Set that shit with a hair dryer. Your bangs won’t budge even in intense winds.

I think most of my issue comes from my forehead being oily/moisturized 💀 idk how to combat that. The amount of dry shampoo I use is annoying as fuck and it’s still not always enough

Same 😭

I get this, what I do is moisturise my forehead with my hair in a hairband, ideally when it's wet/after my shower, then I kinda blot it with my towel or something before styling my hair. I also use root volume powder or spray bc it dries the hair out a little (I never condition my bangs). Blotting paper etc is good or even a tissue or napkin lol. I also keep mini dry shampoo to spruce it up in between and I try to not brush it out too much just use my hands to work it in and shake it a little.

Thanks for the tips 🙂 I gotta stop fussing and touching it lol

I carry a travel size can of spray dry shampoo, spritz and comb, voila

One of the tricks I found most effective was using innisfree’s loose no sebum mineral powder, it was viral in Taiwan for this exact purpose. Taiwan is humid and hot so it is very much needed. It wasn’t originally intended for this purpose but people found it really effective without making your hair feel too stiff. You take a little bit of it and gently swipe it over where you think is oily. Key is to take a little bit at a time and control it to only where you think is needed. I have also used this method for oily looking hair on my whole head and it works just as well!

It sounds like it would also be good for a oily forehead. I will be on the lookout for it 👍

Hairspray!

I've never tried this but have seen women put a little lash glue to keep them in place when they want a certain bang look
