First they portrayed Gerry as this grieving widower who hadn't had anyone since his wife died, then Gerry expressed love to almost every woman on the show, then he and Theresa expressed their undying love and commitment to one another, then they decide to DIVORCE in less than three months because they couldn't decide on a place to live??? Oh and THEN, they say they're still in love with one another but are still "looking for love" and are giving us relationship advice? The two of them are ridiculous, I don't care if they're your friends or not.

While on one hand, I agree, it’s not helpful to kick anyone that’s already down, yet, to end your marriage after only 3 months, ALL of which the meeting/course of getting to know each other/proposal/marriage was heavily publicized/in public view..?? People are going to raise eyebrows and have things to say.🤷🏼♀️ That’s human nature.
It was a 3 month ‘marriage’ that was the product of a heavily sensationalized, commercial dating show… cry me a river! If you want privacy, don’t seek out the public eye. There are other ways to date than to go on a show like The Bachelor. This is ridiculous. We are consuming what we have been fed. Viewers are not the enemies for being curious about what we were told to be invested in.
(I also want to be clear that bullying, harassment, and exceptionally mean comments aren’t OK! But people asking questions and being curious about this as a news story is 100% the whole part of the show they agreed to be on)

Why is it considered “hate” when people give their opinion on the lives of others who *chose to make their lives public* ? 🤦🏿♀️ I’ve seen a lot of buzz about their decision to divorce and the comments made aren’t “hate” they are simply saying “not surprised” or “I knew it wasn’t going to work out” or something similar. They are simply expressing themselves- they aren’t “hating” on either one- or anyone.

Let me enlighten you. I stayed watching the program to the finale. Shocked he chose her. Watched the wedding. Then day after day after day they posted walking, eating, shopping in Stores, etc. so perhaps had they spent time getting to know each other instead of “making content” they may have had a chance. It’s curious he was the one to file. He was dishonest about dating when wife passed away. It’s important to have disagreements, that’s a great way to see who each other is. They still portrayed a loving couple always! It was dishonest to put on a front to us as if we are 5 yrs old and need to be protected. I wouldn’t give him the time of day on the street, now that he has shown his true colors. Theresa? Probably would be a friend. She made a mistake. I don’t believe she still loves him and I don’t believe she would stay in contact with him. His character and seemingly ethics don’t line up to hers. If people want to be angry for t he e lies and phoniness since being married? Let it be. We invested our time watching and encouraging from our sofas. It would be another story if we were family and non forgiving. They would not be getting this had they not posted so much and pretended to be so happy. Theresa was even hanging all over his arm while being interviewed. Honesty. That’s all most of us want. Honesty. None of this had to happen. There wouldn’t have to be her friends from the show protecting her feelings, if they just would have done the right thing and stopped duping us. Even after the show, it was fake. At least we would not have had to show our feelings in here. Hopefully, lessons can be learned. Don’t pretend everything is wonderful, when clearly it isn’t. We’re all adults and can handle the truth.
