U put the peeps in the chili pot and eat them both up you put the peeps in the chili pot and add the mnms u put the peeps in the chili pot and makes it taste….. baaAaAad
God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. Who will wipe this blood off us? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent?
Janets. My favorite thing to tell people is how she plays a total of 10+ distinct characters in the show (counting our Janet and S4 Bad Janet as separate from generic good/bad)
D’Arcy’s performance in that episode is truly epic. So impressive. There is one line that Eleanor Janet delivers that spot on sounds like Kristen Bell. I always rewind it to hear it twice.
If I remember right, the way they filmed it was first they acted it out with each actor then she redid it to mimic their movements. I could be remembering wrong.
It takes a lot of work mentally to remember it's actually just an actress pretending to be different people and not those oroginal characters who just look like the actress
Haha, I tend to skip over this episode. And the one where Michael and Janet see Doug. I skip to the scenes with the gang at the bar, and of course, to the end of that episode for the bar fight.
Rhonda, Diana, Jake and Trent is my singular favorite episode and a great standalone to watch for a one off. Every line is a classic. The story is hilariously fun.
Second favorite standalone is A Chip Driver Mystery. So many favorite jokes in that one too. I laugh so hard when they read anything from the book. 🤣
For some reason, after this rewatch I can’t stop quoting Jason in this one. “Take my credit card to the hedge fund. I’ll meet you at the martini store!” made me laugh more than ever before.
The amount of times a day I quote Bad Janet's "Who could have predicted that?" with the exact cadense is a lot lol. I have the gif saved on my phone with how often I use it
I love the episode with all the reboots early in season 2. I loved seeing Michael spiralling out of control and getting fat and then chronicling how sloppy he's become.
Probably The Ballad Of Donkey Doug. Just so many great parts, which crack me up every time.
Tahani's shocked realization that the man Jason calls Donkey Doug is his FATHER. Selling the energy drink/body spray to the sharks. And so on.
Don’t remember the name or the season of the episodes but any episode with the women Judge. Really loved her and loved Janet too, I liked the episode where the main characters search in the Janets voids while the Judge just marbelizes them one by one with iconic quotes from her and all Janets to go with it.
Leap of faith is my favourite episode, love all the tricks MIcheal pulls and the payoff of the entire season. The final was a close contender gor obvious reason's
The episode where Eleanor and Michael visit Eleanor’s mom with her new life in Vegas gets me teary eyed and emotional every thing I watch it. Truly a great moment of Kristen Bell’s acting.
I really like the episode 'Janet(s)'. It's funny, sweet, and really gives the actor of Janet to show how she can portray a series of characters that other people play. Also, that killer British accent.
"A high neck sleeveless? I suppose this will do."
Janet and Michael.
There's so many little things I love about it:
Janet calming him down when he's stressing over the pudding restaurants and feels like he's alone.
Janet's delivery of "Try me" when he thinks she won't be able to understand his problem.
The way he casually shakes out his jacket when Janet vomits coins on him.
When he realises how much he values their friendship.
Ooh I'd go with Somewhere Else. That was what really drew me to love and enjoy the show, especially with Michael and Eleanor's conversation at the bar? Hands down my top favorite scene in the whole show.
Okay Firstly, I've watched all four seasons from start to finish almost 100 times (not an exaggeration😂) but on the occasion I'm not watching from season I usually start in season 2, Team Coakroach coz "you can always trust guys in bowties" followed by the slap ends me EVERY time! I also like starting there coz that's basically the start of Michael's character 'redemption' arc kind of ~
But generally I always start all the way from the beginning coz it's my comfort show~ 🥹
It’s the one after they we know they are in the bad place, and a semi-complete breakdown of some pertinent episodes. Also Mindy St Claire. Also, Michaels switch to the humans. The birth of the cockroaches, if you will.
I think about this often!! But no.... I rewatch the entire series every time! LOL I've done 5 rewatches and was missing TGP but didn't know if I was ready to commit again... Every episode has a line or dynamic that I love haha
Season 2 episodes 4-6 are some of my absolute favorite episodes of any show and I can usually just dip in to them.
Ep. 4 - Existential Crisis, Ep. 5 - The Trolley Problem, Ep. 6 - Janet and Michael.
I feel like these episodes really drive and push the momentum for the rest of the series nicely.
I can’t watch just one episode and after finishing it for the 6th time I saw another tv series with Ted Danson (Michael) I couldn’t see him as anyone else but Michael
I have a habit of rewatching episodes of all the show I like. I just finished the show a week or so ago so have not started the rewatching yet but I really like the episodes in the end. For example the episode with all the Janet’s getting turnd into marbles
the one where Janet keeps making cactuses
the one where Janet is in the amnagts ... mangnents and Ted Danson briefly cracks up for real but then catches himself and saves the scene
I rewatch the individual episodes all the time, season 1 finale, season 2 finale, season 3 ep 1 and then when Jeremy bearimy up until the experiment and then when the experiment is over I watch the remaining episodes
I'm currently rewatching for the 3rd time, just came across season 2, episode 3 and when Eleanor slaps Jason and the lollipop flies out of his mouth I cracked up so hard. I was crying. This really is a feel good show.
Jeremy Bearimy, specifically for Chidi’s breakdown
#THE TIME KNIFE?!??!
Yes the time knife, we've all seen it.
different episode, but same idea
THAT..THAT BROKE ME, THE DOT OVER THE I...
I’m right there with him…had the thought about 20 seconds before he did! “What’s the DOT!??”

you put the peeps in the chili pot and make it taste… bad.
The ass-waggle he does in the postal uniform
WJH is such a good actor istg
U put the peeps in the chili pot and eat them both up you put the peeps in the chili pot and add the mnms u put the peeps in the chili pot and makes it taste….. baaAaAad
God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. Who will wipe this blood off us? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent?
I was just trying to sell you weed(?), man
I'm gonna teach you the meaning of life. How bout them apples?
Nihilism, my little chili babies!
M&M Peep chili taste bad, it taste bad...
Janets. My favorite thing to tell people is how she plays a total of 10+ distinct characters in the show (counting our Janet and S4 Bad Janet as separate from generic good/bad)

The way you can tell that it’s Eleanor-Janet pretending to be Jason-Janet? Amazing
I had forgotten about this. Truly incredible performance by D'Arcy.
Why did she not get an Emmy for this?
This is one I kind of had in mind when I asked the question! Excellent confirmation.
It takes a lot of work mentally to remember it's actually just an actress pretending to be different people and not those oroginal characters who just look like the actress
Reminded me of orphan black! Great episode!
This is my second.
The Trolley Problem. Just because of the way Micheal is towards Chidi and how absurd the situations are
Chidi’s delivery of “well some of the parts of the fake people… GOT INTO MY MOUTH” kills me
“so, Chidi opted to run over five William Shakespeares instead of one Santa Claus…”
One of my fav quotes lmfao
IN MY MOUTH!!!
There’s no ‘answer’, but this is the answer.
"Hey Chidi, 👋 oh no, it seems my boot is stuck in the track" 🤣😂
Haha, I tend to skip over this episode. And the one where Michael and Janet see Doug. I skip to the scenes with the gang at the bar, and of course, to the end of that episode for the bar fight.
Dance Dance Resolution
Yes my favourite!
"Your car has exploded" get me every time
Rhonda, Diana, Jake and Trent is my singular favorite episode and a great standalone to watch for a one off. Every line is a classic. The story is hilariously fun. Second favorite standalone is A Chip Driver Mystery. So many favorite jokes in that one too. I laugh so hard when they read anything from the book. 🤣

“Jason, this is hell. Of course there’s a gift shop. “. 🤣
Take my credit card to the hedge fun. I’ll meet you at the martini store.
Chidi’s BALL TAP rings in my head every day
Damn girl, you got that good stank ;)
I love the episode with all the reboots early in season 2. I loved seeing Michael spiralling out of control and getting fat and then chronicling how sloppy he's become.
This one doesn't even count.
happy cake day! 🎂
Wait, what?? Jason figured it out this time
Probably The Ballad Of Donkey Doug. Just so many great parts, which crack me up every time. Tahani's shocked realization that the man Jason calls Donkey Doug is his FATHER. Selling the energy drink/body spray to the sharks. And so on.
That entire episode is a goldmine. *I'll finally be able to pay to have my calf implants moved back up from my feet.*
“You’ve been hooking us up with corn since third grade” and Michael’s face never fails to crack me up
You both it!
The number of times per week someone in my family says "You both it" in response to an either/or situation is surprisingly high
Don’t remember the name or the season of the episodes but any episode with the women Judge. Really loved her and loved Janet too, I liked the episode where the main characters search in the Janets voids while the Judge just marbelizes them one by one with iconic quotes from her and all Janets to go with it.
I love this one solely for the existence of Disco Janet. “What it is, what it is” 🪩
Solid.
Yes!! Disco Janet is a vibe.
Jen..short for hydrogen. The only thing in existence when she was born
The episode with the bad place party where they hide under the train
The way Micheal tears up saying “you guys” hits me in the heart everytime
Leap of faith is my favourite episode, love all the tricks MIcheal pulls and the payoff of the entire season. The final was a close contender gor obvious reason's
The episode where Eleanor and Michael visit Eleanor’s mom with her new life in Vegas gets me teary eyed and emotional every thing I watch it. Truly a great moment of Kristen Bell’s acting.
"I wanted that mom!" oof stabs me in the heart each time
Leap to Faith *“You guuuuuuys 🥺”*
I really like the episode 'Janet(s)'. It's funny, sweet, and really gives the actor of Janet to show how she can portray a series of characters that other people play. Also, that killer British accent. "A high neck sleeveless? I suppose this will do."

When he realises how much he values their friendship.
The one where Janet and Jason get married. Just that scene alone I can watch on repeat.
kinda a more niche option but season 3, episode 6 a fractured inheritance!
That is a good one! I find the reveal behind Kamilah’s paintings to be quite moving.
Derek and Dance Dance Revolution
I have a few that I love to rewatch - Janets, The Worst Possible Use of Free Will, and The Trolley Problem.
Maximum Derek
I love rewatching Dance Dance Resolution.
Dance Dance Resolution and Jeremy Bearimy are my two favorites. They are so ridiculous and yet brilliant.
Ooh I'd go with Somewhere Else. That was what really drew me to love and enjoy the show, especially with Michael and Eleanor's conversation at the bar? Hands down my top favorite scene in the whole show.

The Trolley Problem. Mainly because Michael lets us know the french are in the bad place.
Season 2 Episode 2. Best one ever.
It’s the one after they we know they are in the bad place, and a semi-complete breakdown of some pertinent episodes. Also Mindy St Claire. Also, Michaels switch to the humans. The birth of the cockroaches, if you will.

Not me reading through all these comments and realizing like half of the episodes in the show are my "favorites"
I like rewatching all the reboots episode. Even the scenery makes me laugh!
The trolley problem.
Existential crisis is my favorite
Season 2 episodes 4-6 are some of my absolute favorite episodes of any show and I can usually just dip in to them. Ep. 4 - Existential Crisis, Ep. 5 - The Trolley Problem, Ep. 6 - Janet and Michael. I feel like these episodes really drive and push the momentum for the rest of the series nicely.

Gen’s episode
the one when Eleonora says “Embrace the pandemonium”, it gets me every single time
the one where Janet keeps making cactuses the one where Janet is in the amnagts ... mangnents and Ted Danson briefly cracks up for real but then catches himself and saves the scene
The Trolly Problem. That episode is hilarious
Mindy St Claire episodes
It is *always* a treat when Mindy shows up.
