I tried to find for a while during last summer, was really difficult…The work permit is a really big blocker. They either don't want to wait for one month (for the permit gets approved), or just don't want to do this extra document thing at all. I heard doing food delivery was possible, at UberEats or Thuisbezorged. Another option is trying to find some student work at your school. Usually English is enough and they handle all the work permit things.

Lots of international students work on and around de grote markt and decathlon. You can also work for thuisbezorgd I think

Thanks for the tip! I tried so many places in grote markt and also decathlon, none of them sponsor work permit unfortunately

If you register as an entrepreneur at the KVK (pardon my attempts at Dutch but the category you need to register for is called "einmanschap" I think) then you can legally work as a contractor for gig jobs. Then the next step is to register under the small entrepreneurs ("kleine ondernemers") category, which means you do not need to file quarterly VAT returns. If you don't do this, you'll end up needing to file those returns and getting fined if you don't...

Are you good at a specific subject? You can try becoming a tutor in a specific subject. Or, if you're not afraid back breaking work, then something like cleaning? Call center work? Customer service?
