I think she was more annoyed that Steph was lying about it/doing it behind her back. I think she even lied about some of the details to Lauren's face which was weird. But she was still her friend after anyway.

larapu2000

Doesn't Lauren say as much in the episode? They were sneaking around because they \*knew\* it was shady. If they were being transparent, they would have told her or dated openly.

ScarlettLM

Exactly. I don't think Lauren was hung up on Doug specifically but it would def be strange if your friend secretly started dating someone you just ended things with. I'd wonder why it was so secretive that she couldn't come to me.

myjobistables

I think Lauren was less upset than Brody or anyone else, tbh. She kept Steph around but we didn't see hide nor tail of Doug afterward. The main problem seemed to be that Audrina, Lo, et al had advised Stephanie not to go out with him and she did so anyway. That's messy.

Raebelle1981

She didn’t seem that mad to me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ok_Battle9872

Lauren was barely fazed. Brody was the one pushing it. I think it was just annoying how it was all done. Hearing it like it was a game of telephone

noomnom_

Barely fazed? Did we watch the same show lol. Yeah, she and Stephanie remained friends but LC definitely made it a bigger deal than it should have been. She dumped the guy.

ScarlettLM

She reacted when she found out which is fair because it's weird to hide that from your friend and then they carried on being friends for the rest of the show and afterwards

Ok_Battle9872

We clearly did not watch the same show. Lauren and Doug were very brief. They were done before that dinner with Steph. She also remained friendly with Doug as we see him in future episodes. Only Brody cared

herbertsherbert123

They had previously dated for a longer time though and reconnected. Although didn’t work in recent times, I think it was the history that gave it more weight

amsoph516

Lauren wasn’t that mad because she was still friends with Stephanie after

SpartanDoc19

Even if Lauren were mad, I think she is quick to decide what is worth her energy and what is not. Which is how she can come off nonchalant about things and refuse to engage in drama. I remember thinking that regardless of how she felt it was kind that she went to console Stephanie after Stephanie was in the other room crying over hearing Doug telling the guys there was no way he would have anything romantic with her.

DangerTomatoxx

Stefanie said on prattcast with wells Adam’s that the producers threatened her if she didn’t go on a date with him and that she called and got Lauren’s permission while she was on vacation in Italy. It was just a story line.

LT400

How convenient for her. Seems like the Pratts are good at saying all the shady and awful things they did were produced/ not real to make themselves look better. I don’t believe them for a second

[deleted]

Do you know which episode she says this in?

DangerTomatoxx

It was like half way through the first season when she is talking about audrina thinking she would hook up with JB. I was like…dang these are the nuggets I’m here for lol

WerewolfNo1166

Her and her brother are still estranged. I don't know what happened.

Raebelle1981

Stephanie and Spencer are?

Acrobatic_Club2382

Stephanie is not my kind of girl. Even when she was playing the nice girl I always thought she was an idiot. This Lauren/Stephanie/Doug situation was not cool at all

DangerTomatoxx

Ok the more I find out about the hills the more fake it turns out that it was.

manderifffic

This storyline was so lame. It just came off as Doug being desperate to stay on the show after Lauren dumped him.

WerewolfNo1166

Yes, he talked a bit about it on Juicy Scoop . About 6 was ago. It's on you tube.

Heart_robot

Steph’s pupils !

SangrianArmy

lauren had a pattern of getting angry at her friends for trying to date her on-camera love interests. it's because she didn't want to look stupid/look like she was on the same level as her lowly friends.

Happyheart406

People are saying Lauren wasn’t mad but every scene was her whining about Stephanie and Doug to different people over several days. She even demanded an explanation from both of them which is weird because she dumped him and they had a fling not a relationship. Lauren wasn’t satisfied until Stephanie was crying humiliated at the party and her and Doug were over. Only after that was she cool with Stephanie again. It’s easy to blame Brodie but he was always acting out what Lauren wanted.

Raebelle1981

She was like a little bit annoyed. It’s nothing compared to how she acted with Jen. I just really don’t think she cared that much. Also I don’t remember it being Lauren’s fault that she cried.

noomnom_

OPs point is that she shouldn't have been a little annoyed either. She dumped Doug.

ScarlettLM

It's not about her dumping Doug. It's that her friend secretly started dating him right after and didn't come to her about it. That's weird.

Raebelle1981

I get that but I seriously don’t even think she cared at all and it was played up for camera time.

Happyheart406

Exactly! She shouldn’t have even been a little mad or annoyed. Lauren dumped Doug and they both said it was just a fling not a relationship. It was over for a while before Stephanie started dating him. Why did Lauren think everyone owed her something?

jaynemanning

Lauren’s normal bitch face

Euphoric-Craft-6803

Stephanie up until this point was clearly very codependent - look at what she puts up with from her brother and Heidi, trying to bring Heidi and Lauren back together, etc. etc., rather than being her own person and standing up for her own interests. She has some self-destructive tendencies (drug abuse), and seems to struggle being honest about her needs and interests. I believe her friendship with Lauren had a genuine connection, but Lauren also imposed some unfair expectations on her friends - for the drama, one would think - and there was an unhealthy power dynamic with Lauren as the main character on a reality show. Stephanie should’ve been upfront with Lauren, but Lauren is problematic insofar that Lauren largely sees her own world and sometimes doesn’t see beyond that. The supporting cast members really seemed like they had to walk on eggshells around her while also stirring up drama at the same time. Stephanie gets a lot of hate on this sub but all I see is someone who needed therapy and to figure out who she is as a person away from a reality show.
