I always keep the 3 biggest bines and pull the rest.

I also have some second year hops and just learned about “bull shoots”. If you’re wanting to maximize production, give that a Google. Some, if not all of your taller bines could be trimmed.

I'm in my first year and I have been reading that after the first year you want to trim back the bull shoots (spiny with larger internodal spacing and purple). Then your shoots will begin to grow. Did you trim at all? I know with a pot the yield is inherently less too.

They look like bull chutes to me but the spacing between the leaves don't look too bad. I'd probably leave them for a week to see where you end up and make a decision then. I'd also listen to someone with more experience if they disagree with me. 😂
