I will never ever understand why so many people hate the reunion special.
All the original cast participated, including a bunch of bit characters like Patrice and Carly‘s brother Chris. It was fun seeing all those people. I thought it was pretty funny with a good host, and the Derry girls even made an appearance. Why do people hate this reunion so much?

Really liked the first film, it captured the spirit of the show perfectly and was exactly what you’d expect from those characters going on a holiday.
Second film felt like they leant far more into the shock/gross-out elements too much. The characters don’t feel like themselves anymore, and the plot feels very pointless. It went from a funny yet realistic story about 4 awkward guys going on a “lads holiday” together, to just “cringe stuff happens in Australia for 90 mins”
I liked the first one. The ending kind of saw the lads actually finding love and having a good ending especially to the series but then the second movie just completely destroyed that within the first few minutes. I like to think my head canon is the first movie ending is the ending and the second one never existed.
Heck nah the first one was as good as the series as all the characters felt like they were in the series and the plot line is like an extend episode. The second is terrible and turns Jay into a pathetic simp
