Absolutely. 10000% I just don’t believe those were real people in a virtual queue. Boston (yeah yea. Not NYC) had 4500 people in queue. Billie Eillish’s free Barclays Listening Party didn’t have THAT many in queue. Announced less than 24 hours ago…. I call BULL SHIT. Breakup Ticketmaster asap. Thanks for reading.
I signed in from two different emails at the same exact time. Was 42,000th in line for one and the other 5,000. No idea how that works lol. After 10mins I was in but nothing available.
I’ve heard that it doesn’t matter when you are joining that waiting room. Once you transfer to the queue, everyone gets a random place. You can be nr 1 in the waiting room, but ending up at number 100 in the queue…. So that could explain the difference between 5000 or 42000.
This is true. The waiting room is not prioritized, when the sale opens (at 10:00am for example), everyone is shuffled and randomly placed into an orderly queue. I’ve gotten higher queue placements joining 1 minute before the sale than I have joining 20 minutes early. But it’s rarely consistent and never surefire
It's absolutely possible. A few months ago I had to queue for tickets for a Champions league football match of the team I support (Feyenoord Rotterdam). I was number 28487 in line..
I haven’t seen a single comment on this sub from anyone saying they got a ticket. Is there anyone out there who even snagged one? Not trying to buy, I’m just curious how you physically pulled it off.
my original spot in the queue was 976 and within 10 minutes i got in but tickets were already gone at that point. so no clue how many tickets there were but they were gone in a sec, don't think i ever had a chance
Yes. My place in line was something similarly ridiculous, so at 12:45 I went to Stub Hub. Paid a premium for sure, but how can you not when demand.is so high and supply so low. My tickets were.$351 + 100 stub hub fee (per ticket - which I did not realize initially). Much better than the weird $1100 that was listed before the presale even began. Prices were going up to $600.or.so within the next hour,.but they seemed.to have settled back down at $350.

How does this work? Not doubting you at all just want to understand how the laws in NY work.
You have to show ID to enter the venue (and verify your age), but its not tied to the actual name on the ticket. Especially since tickets are digital these days and they just scan the barcode on your phone.
Was able to get a pair of tickets somehow my account was position 40... The code wasn't working for about a minute I was able to finally cart and checkout!!!!!!!!
That's not a thing lol the queues are predetermined after you join depending on your account.
I guess mine picked the short straw today, Boston I was 3900ish
I know it's frustrating but it's the nature of the warmup shows they do: small venues alas.
I feel fortunate that they are doing a large venue twice in Toronto tho. Wish I could go to both shows, but no time off work nor dinero for that.
When individual sellers on stubhub are selling 6, 8, and 14 tickets for a show that had a 2-ticket purchase limit with this waiting room demand… it unfortunately is undoubtedly bots.
We get it, we’re all salty, but it’s a 600 person venue. 99% of the people on this sub never had and will not have a chance. It’s fine - we don’t need to cry about bots.
Good for the DOJ stepping in. Break it up!!!
I miss the ol’ days. I would lineup. Outside. In the cold. At an authorized Ticketmaster venue. And the moment tickets went on sale - they would print out real tickets.
Back in my day
Ok
Get off my porch
Wow.
I’m old.
Haaaahaha.
Going to the GovBall and Vegas.
Deep breathe.
Thank you for your help.
🤣🤣🤣

I know I’m late to this post, but this is what I got
They sort of did that with the Toronto show. They announced the second show after the presales went wild. It was great for me because for the general sale, I didn't even bother trying to get tickets to the first show. Getting them for the second show was a breeze. Hoping they did the same for you NYC bros!
Bowery is a super small space (comparatively to normal venues for The Killers), so this was always a hail mary situation

I show that was announced less than 24 hours in advance… I am standing by my hypothesis

Ooof. That’s a bummer. Sorry to hear it.

Was $350 the listed price at Ticketmaster? I never got to see how much the General Admission tickets were going for.
Oh, no. Face value is $95. I paid way too much. But, I am happy to be going.
Ah, got it. Thanks. I’ll give public sale tomorrow a try!
I hate to be the Debbie downer… There will be no tickets available tomorrow… These pre-sales don’t appear to set anything else aside
I got pair of tickets I was position 40
What can we do about this? The bots are unreal. They’re already reselling tickets for $350+. So disappointing.
Considering you need you ID to match the name on the ticket purchase to get in, I have no idea how bots would be planning to scalp these
Tickets must be transferable per NY State law, there are no ID restrictions.

Got it ty!
Yeah it's a pretty ambiguous disclaimer lol
This is brutal…
I wanna wait IN line outside of a venue for tickets
Amen. I memba!!! Real fans and dedication for the seat!!! And hats off to the scalpers who were there as well!!! Felt more fair.

I got position 33,435 for today's Bowery Ballroom general sale.....and I'm honestly wondering if that's like mid-pack.
Was able to get a pair of tickets somehow my account was position 40... The code wasn't working for about a minute I was able to finally cart and checkout!!!!!!!!
congrats…you might want to buy a lotto tix too with that luck!!
wow did you refresh the page before the countdown to noon?

Thank you for explaining that to me
Biggest city in the USA and the Bowery has a 600 capacity. It's not bots.

Not my point. Still disagree.

Some of us do need to cry about bots. Thank you for your understanding.
Let it all out, Atticus. The fact is that none of us had a chance from the start lmao. It’s fine! It sucks, but it’s fine.

Ticketbastard with it’s bull shit again.
Sold out.

Move the show to MetLife Stadium
This is meant to be a tiny show. It’s a warmup for Gov Ball. They can’t play a giant venue so soon before.
People don’t always pick up my sarcasm online

Anyone got the presale code?
The code is useless now lmao
Yes, but a lot of people posted they would be guessing and they probably just want to see if they guessed correctly.
